Description
基材;上記基材上に備えられたパターン層;及び上記パターン層上に備えられた光学層を含み、
上記パターン層は、平坦面を含む第1面及び上記第1面と対向する第2面を含み、
上記第2面は、曲面を含む複数個の突出部を含み、
上記第2面は、第1平面及び第2平面をさらに含み、
上記第1平面又は第1平面を延長した面と第1面とがなす角度(θ1)と、上記第2平面又は第2平面を延長した面と第1面とがなす角度(θ2)とが、互いに異なる角度を有する、視野角補償フィルムを提供する。
液晶セル;
上記液晶セルの視野側に備えられる第1偏光板;
上記液晶セルの視野側の反対側に備えられる第2偏光板;及び
上記第2偏光板の液晶セルと対面する面の反対側に備えられるバックライトユニットを含み、
上記第1偏光板又は第2偏光板が、上記視野角補償フィルムを含む、画面表示用ディスプレイ装置を提供する。
0.1P < D < 0.4P
Pは、上記第1直線又は第1直線を延長した線と第1面とが接する地点と、上記第2直線又は第2直線を延長した線と第1面とがなす地点の間の距離を意味し、
Dは、上記曲線の一方の端で第1面に引かれた法線と第1面とが会合する地点と、上記曲線の他方の端で第1面に引かれた法線と第1面とが会合する地点の間の距離を意味する。

Claims (9)
- 基材;
前記基材上に備えられたパターン層;及び
前記パターン層上に備えられた光学層
を含み、
前記パターン層は、平坦面を含む第1面及び前記第1面と対向する第2面を含み、
前記第2面は、曲面を含む複数個の突出部を含み、
前記第2面は、第1平面及び第2平面をさらに含み、
前記第1平面又は第1平面を延長した面と第1面とがなす角度(θ1)と、前記第2平面又は第2平面を延長した面と第1面とがなす角度(θ2)とが、互いに異なる角度を有し、
前記光学層と前記パターン層のうち曲率中心を含む層の屈折率が、曲率中心を含まない層の屈折率よりも大きい値を有し、
前記曲率中心を含む層の屈折率は1.4~1.75であり、前記曲率中心を含まない層の屈折率は1.38~1.55であり、
前記第1面に垂直な少なくとも一つの断面が、第1直線、第2直線及び曲線からなり、
前記曲線は、前記第1直線の端部と前記第2直線の端部とが連結されて形成され、
前記断面が、下記式1を満たすものである、

Pは、前記第1直線又は第1直線を延長した線と第1面とが接する地点と、前記第2直線又は第2直線を延長した線と第1面とがなす地点の間の距離を意味し、
Dは、前記曲線の一方の端で第1面に引かれた法線と第1面とが会合する地点と、前記曲線の他方の端で第1面に引かれた法線と第1面とが会合する地点の間の距離を意味する。 - 前記曲面を含む複数個の突出部は、連続して配置されたものである、
請求項1に記載の視野角補償フィルム。 - 前記曲面の曲率中心は、いずれもパターン層に含まれるか、いずれも光学層に含まれるものである、
請求項1または2に記載の視野角補償フィルム。 - 前記第1面に垂直な少なくとも一つの断面が、曲線を含むものである、
請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の視野角補償フィルム。 - 請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の視野角補償フィルムを含む
偏光板。 - 前記視野角補償フィルムは、偏光板の最外側に備えられるものである、
請求項5に記載の偏光板。 - 液晶セル;
前記液晶セルの視野側に備えられる第1偏光板;
前記液晶セルの視野側の反対側に備えられる第2偏光板;及び
前記第2偏光板の液晶セルと対面する面の反対側に備えられるバックライトユニット
を含み、
前記第1偏光板又は第2偏光板が、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の視野角補償フィルムを含む、
画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第1偏光板の視野側に前記視野角補償フィルムを含み、
前記視野角補償フィルムの光学層及びパターン層のうち屈折率の小さい層が視野側に配置される、
請求項7に記載の画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第2偏光板の視野側の反対側に前記視野角補償フィルムを含み、
前記視野角補償フィルムの光学層及びパターン層のうち屈折率の小さい層が視野側に配置される、
請求項7に記載の画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。
