Description
Claims (14)
- 表示装置のための回折射出瞳拡大素子装置であって、
射出瞳拡大素子を備え、第1の平面に配置された第1の光導体素子と、
インカプラを備え、第2の平面に配置された第2の光導体素子であって、前記インカプラが、前記射出瞳拡大素子に光学的に結合される、第2の光導体素子と
を備え、
前記第1の光導体素子が、光の伝播を反射によって前記第1の平面において横方向に閉じ込めるように配置され、
前記第1の平面と前記第2の平面とが、互いに対してある角度で配置され、
前記第1の光導体素子の前記射出瞳拡大素子が、射出瞳を第1の次元において拡大するように適合された射出瞳拡大素子格子であり、
前記第2の光導体素子の前記インカプラが、インカプラ格子であり、
前記角度が、20~60度であり、前記第1の次元が、前記第1の平面と前記第2の平面との交線に平行である、装置。 - 前記第1の光導体素子が、前記第1の平面に垂直に配置された横方向側壁を備え、光の伝播を前記横方向側壁における反射によって閉じ込めるように配置される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記横方向側壁が、光を反射するように研磨されている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記横方向側壁が、全内部反射によって光を反射するように配置され、又は前記横方向側壁に、反射被覆が施される、請求項2又は3に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の光導体素子が、前記第2の光導体素子の前記インカプラに光学的に結合されたアウトカプラをさらに備える、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記アウトカプラが、前記射出瞳を前記第1の次元に垂直の第2の次元において拡大するように適合される、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記横方向に閉じ込めることが、前記第1の光導体素子中を伝播する鏡像を生成し、
前記角度が、前記アウトカプラが前記鏡像を反射するが、正像を外結合させるように選択される、請求項5又は6に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の光導体素子が、前記射出瞳拡大素子に光学的に結合されたインカプラをさらに備える、請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の光導体素子の前記インカプラが、前記第2の平面に垂直に検査されたとき、前記第2の光導体素子の上に位置しない、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の光導体素子の前記インカプラ及び前記射出瞳拡大素子が、格子線が前記交線に対して斜めである格子を備える、請求項8又は9に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の光導体素子が、複数の光導体層を備える、請求項1から10までのいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の光導体素子の前記横方向の幅が、前記第2の光導体素子における光線の最大ホップ長以下である、請求項1から11までのいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の光導体素子が、前記第2の光導体素子よりも高い屈折率を有する光導体材料を備える、請求項1から12までのいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 個人用表示デバイスであって、
請求項1から13までのいずれか一項に記載の回折射出瞳拡大素子装置を備える表示素子と、
前記表示素子に画像を投影するためのマイクロプロジェクタと
を備える個人用表示デバイス。
