Description
図1に示すように、第一実施形態に係る端面加工装置1は、加工具としての砥石2を回転駆動するモータ3と、砥石2を回転可能に支持するアーム部材4と、アーム部材4が揺動するため(砥石2がガラス板Gの端面Eを押圧するため)の駆動力を発生するアクチュエータとしてのサーボモータ5と、サーボモータ5の駆動力をアーム部材4に伝達するリンク機構6と、アーム部材4を付勢する付勢装置7と、を備える。
図3に示すように、第二実施形態に係る端面加工装置1が、第一実施形態に係る端面加工装置1と相違するところは、付勢装置7が、引張バネ7aに代えて、サーボモータ5の駆動力によりアーム部材4が揺動する方向に付勢する付勢力を発生するための圧縮バネ7bを備える点である。
図4に示すように、第三実施形態に係る端面加工装置1が、第一及び第二実施形態に係る端面加工装置1と相違するところは、付勢装置7が、バネ7a,7bに代えて、サーボモータ5の駆動力によりアーム部材4が揺動する方向に付勢する付勢力を発生するためのシリンダ7cを備える点である。

Claims (6)
- ガラス板の端面を加工具で加工するガラス板の端面加工装置であって、
前記加工具を支持する揺動可能なアーム部材と、前記加工具を前記ガラス板の端面から引き離す成分を含む付勢力又は前記加工具を前記ガラス板の端面に押し当てる成分を含む付勢力を前記アーム部材に常に付与する付勢装置と、前記付勢力に抗しながら、前記加工具が前記ガラス板の端面を加工するための駆動力を発生させて前記アーム部材を揺動させるアクチュエータと、を備えていることを特徴とするガラス板の端面加工装置。 - 前記付勢装置は、前記加工具を前記ガラス板の端面から引き離す方向に前記アーム部材を付勢していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガラス板の端面加工装置。
- 前記付勢装置が、前記アーム部材を付勢するための付勢力を発生するバネを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガラス板の端面加工装置。
- 前記付勢装置が、前記アーム部材を付勢するための付勢力を発生するシリンダを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガラス板の端面加工装置。
- 前記付勢装置は、前記アクチュエータの出力が定格トルクの10%以上となるように付勢力を付与することを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のガラス板の端面加工装置。
- 端面加工装置によりガラス板の端面を加工具で加工する端面加工工程を備えたガラス板の製造方法であって、
前記端面加工工程では、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載のガラス板の端面加工装置を用いて、前記ガラス板の端面を加工することを特徴とするガラス板の製造方法。
