前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程を含み、
前記セラミックス円筒体の内壁部と外壁部の間で複数回の屈曲又は湾曲を伴いながら前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる非直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記非直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられる。
外径70mm、内径50mm、軸方向長46mmのセラミックス円筒体に内側電極と外側電極を固定した。セラミックス円筒体は、多孔質Si結合SiC製である。内側電極と外側電極は、各々、筒状電極であり、ステンレス製である。セラミックス円筒体におけるセルの配置は、図17に示したとおりである。ソフトウェアを用いてシミュレーションした。シミュレーション条件としては、内側電極と外側電極の間のセラミックス円筒体に1秒間に亘り電圧45Vを印加した。

Claims (17)
- セラミックス円筒体の周方向に沿ってセルが配置されたセル配列が同心円状に配置された導電性のセラミックス円筒体と、
前記セラミックス円筒体の内壁部に電気的に結合した内側電極と、
前記セラミックス円筒体の外壁部に電気的に結合した外側電極を備え、
前記セラミックス円筒体の前記内壁部と前記外壁部の間で複数回の屈曲又は湾曲を伴いながら前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる非直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記非直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられ、少なくとも前記外側電極が前記セラミックス円筒体の前記外壁部の外壁面の全域に亘って形成された筒状電極であり、また、前記外側電極が中間層を介して又は介することなく前記セラミックス円筒体に嵌め合わされ、
前記外側電極にはその周方向に沿って複数の溝が設けられ、当該複数の溝の各溝は、前記セラミックス円筒体の軸方向に沿って延びる、加熱装置。 - 前記非直線部は、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる複数の第1リブを含み、前記複数の第1リブは、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる隣接した軸線上に交互に配置される、請求項1に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記非直線部は、前記軸線に交差するように延びる複数の第2リブを含み、同一の前記軸線上で隣接する第1リブは、隣接する前記軸線上の1つの第1リブと2つの第2リブを介して結合する、請求項2に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セルは、多角形状の開口形状を有する、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セルの少なくとも1つの角部にはR面が設けられる、請求項4に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記非直線部の屈曲回数は、前記セル配列の数よりも大きい、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記内側電極は、前記セラミックス円筒体の前記内壁部の内壁面の全域に亘って形成された筒状電極である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記非直線部は、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる複数の第1リブと、前記第1リブの延在方向に交差するように延びる複数の第2リブを含み、
前記非直線部は、前記セラミックス円筒体の前記外壁部及び前記内壁部のそれぞれに対して前記第1リブにおいて結合する、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。 - 前記セラミックス円筒体の前記内壁部に隣接する前記セルの開口サイズが最小である、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体の内径をR1とし、前記セラミックス円筒体の外径をR2とするとき、
0.3<(R1/R2)
を満足する、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。 - 前記セラミックス円筒体の内径をR1とし、前記セラミックス円筒体の外径をR2とするとき、
0.6<(R1/R2)
を満足する、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。 - 排気ガスが流れる流路と、
請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置と、
前記流路における排気ガスの流れ方向において前記加熱装置よりも下流側に設けられる排気ガス浄化装置と、
前記加熱装置に含まれる前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルが提供する第1流路と前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルにより囲まれた筒穴が提供する第2流路の間で前記排気ガスの流路を切り替える切り替え部を備える、システム。 - セラミックス円筒体の周方向に沿ってセルが配置されたセル配列が同心円状に配置された導電性のセラミックス円筒体を押出成形に基づいて製造する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して内側電極を固定する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程を含み、
前記セラミックス円筒体の内壁部と外壁部の間で複数回の屈曲又は湾曲を伴いながら前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる非直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記非直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられ、
少なくとも前記外側電極は、前記セラミックス円筒体の前記外壁部の外壁面の全域に亘って形成された筒状電極であり、
前記外側電極は、中間層を介して又は介することなく前記セラミックス円筒体に嵌め合わされ、
前記外側電極にはその周方向に沿って複数の溝が設けられ、当該複数の溝の各溝は、前記セラミックス円筒体の軸方向に沿って延びる、加熱装置の製造方法。 - 前記セラミックス円筒体に対して内側電極を固定する工程は、前記セラミックス円筒体に対して前記内側電極を冷やし嵌め又は圧入する工程を含む、請求項13に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程は、前記セラミックス円筒体に対して前記外側電極を焼き嵌めする工程を含む、請求項13又は14に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体と前記内側電極の間には中間層が設けられる、請求項13乃至15のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体と前記外側電極の間には前記中間層が設けられる、請求項13乃至16のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
