Claims (13)
- 眼内レンズ(IOL)を支持するレンズ支持構造物において、前記レンズ支持構造物は、人間の眼の水晶体に固定的に移植され、前記IOLを複数の位置のうちの1つに保持するように構成されるとともに動作可能であり、前記レンズ支持構造物は、リモートエネルギーソースにより遠隔作動し、前記IOLを、前記IOLの光軸に沿って、または前記IOLの光軸を中心にして、軸方向および角度方向のうち少なくとも1つに独立して制御可能にそれぞれ移動させるように構成されるとともに動作可能であり、それにより前記IOLが複数の位置間を動くことが可能になる再配置アセンブリを具え、
前記再配置アセンブリは、互いに向き合う少なくとも1つのアクチュエータ(122、222)および少なくとも1つの歯列(124、224)を具え、前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータおよび前記少なくとも1つの歯列のうち一方が前記IOLと固定的な空間関係を有して、前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータまたは前記少なくとも1つの歯列が移動するときに前記IOLがともに移動し、
前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータが、前記リモートエネルギーソースにより作動される時の第1の三次元形状(1221)と、静止している時の第2の三次元形状(1222)との間で可逆的にシフト可能であり、
前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータは、前記再配置アセンブリが前記リモートエネルギーソースにより遠隔作動したときに、前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータの少なくとも前記第1の三次元形状をもたらすように構成されるとともに動作可能な形状記憶材料で形成された変更可能要素(1224、2224)を具え、
前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータが、前記第1および第2の三次元形状のそれぞれの場合において、前記少なくとも1つの歯列と選択的に係合して係合を外すように動作可能なラッチ(1228c、2228)を具え、係合したときに、前記ラッチが前記少なくとも1つの歯列の1つの歯を押して、前記少なくとも1つのアクチュエータと前記少なくとも1つの歯列との間の軸方向または角度方向の相対的な移動をもたらすことにより、前記IOLの制御可能な移動を前記複数の位置における隣接する2つの位置の間で引き起こすことを特徴とするレンズ支持構造物。 - 請求項1に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記再配置アセンブリは、前記複数の位置のうち少なくとも一部の間で前記IOLの移行をもたらすように構成されることを特徴とするレンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1または2に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記アクチュエータおよび/またはそれぞれの歯列は、前記相対的な移動が、前記IOLの光軸に沿って、または前記IOLの光軸を中心にして、前記軸方向または前記角度方向のそれぞれにおいて、一方向のみに生じるように、ラチェット機構を規定することを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記アクチュエータは、バネ状要素(1226、2226)であって、前記変更可能要素に結合されるとともに、前記再配置アセンブリが前記リモートエネルギーソースにより作動しない場合、前記アクチュエータの前記第2の三次元形状に戻すように構成されるとともに動作可能であるバネ状要素(1226、2226)を具えることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記変更可能要素はニチノールを含むことを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記リモートエネルギーソースは、前記再配置アセンブリの前記アクチュエータの前記変更可能要素に少なくとも熱を供給するように構成されるとともに動作可能であることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記リモートエネルギーソースはレーザ源を具えることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記リモートエネルギーソースが電磁放射送信機を具え、前記再配置アセンブリは電磁放射受信機を具えることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記再配置アセンブリは前記アクチュエータの少なくとも2つのアクチュエータ(122aおよび122b、または222aおよび222b)を具え、それぞれのアクチュエータは、前記IOLの光軸周りの互いに反対の方向のうちの一方、または前記IOLの光軸に沿った互いに反対の方向のうちの一方に、前記IOLを制御可能に移動させるように構成されるとともに動作可能であることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 請求項9に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、
a)前記再配置アセンブリは前記歯列の少なくとも2つの歯列(124a、124b)具え、それぞれの歯列は、前記少なくとも2つのアクチュエータ(122a、122b)の1つと相互作用し、それによって、前記IOLの光軸周りの互いに反対の角度方向に前記IOLを移動させることが可能になるか、または、
b)前記再配置アセンブリは前記少なくとも2つのアクチュエータ(222a、222b)と相互作用する1つの歯列(224)を具え、それによって、前記IOLの光軸に沿った互いに反対の軸方向に前記IOLを移動させることが可能になることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。 - 請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物において、前記再配置アセンブリのユーザ検査および作動を可能にしながら、前記再配置アセンブリを密閉し、前記再配置アセンブリへの組織侵入を防ぐように構成されるとともに動作可能な繊維プロテクタを更に具えることを特徴とする、レンズ支持構造物。
- 眼内レンズ(IOL)の位置を制御するレンズ制御システムであって、請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物と、前記レンズ支持構造物の再配置アセンブリを遠隔作動させるように構成されるとともに動作可能なリモートエネルギーソースとを具え、前記リモートエネルギーソースが、熱発生器、レーザビーム発生器、および電磁放射送受信機のうち少なくとも1つを具えることを特徴とする、レンズ制御システム。
- 請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ支持構造物と、前記レンズ支持構造物に一体的に装着された眼内レンズ(IOL)とを具えることを特徴とする、眼内レンズ(IOL)システム。
