Description
特にヘリコプター等の夜間飛行において、主操縦士と副操縦士の一方が裸眼で操縦を行い、他方が暗視ゴーグルを装着して操縦を行なう場合がある。このため、スクリーンに可視光映像と赤外光映像とを表示させ、裸眼の操縦士と暗視ゴーグルを装着した操縦士が同時に訓練するシミュレータシステムが開発されている。特許文献1には、同一の表示装置において可視光映像及び赤外光映像の双方を投影するプロジェクタについて記載されている。
可視光光源1は、フレームシーケンシャル信号FSSが可視光映像用映像信号VISに切り替わってもすぐにはオンにならず、所定時間後にオンになる。また、フレームシーケンシャル信号FSSが赤外光映像用映像信号IRSに切り換わると同時にオフになる。
上記では、図4に示すように、階調が高くなるにつれて、オンになるサブフレームが時間的に後のサブフレームから時間的に前のサブフレームに順番に伸びる駆動階調テーブルを例として説明したが、駆動階調テーブルはこれに限定されるものではない。駆動階調テーブルは、低階調の時に時間的に前のサブフレームがオフとなるものであれば良い。

Claims (2)
- 表示素子と、
可視光照明光を照射する可視光光源と、
赤外光照明光を照射する赤外光光源と、
可視光映像用映像信号のフレームと赤外光映像用映像信号のフレームとが交互に繰り返される混合映像信号を生成する信号合成部と、
前記混合映像信号に基づき、N階調(Nは自然数)の映像データを生成する信号処理部と、
N階調と前記映像データの1フレームがN個に分割されたサブフレームとの対応関係が設定されている駆動階調テーブルに基づいて、N階調の前記映像データからフレーム内での前記表示素子の印加電圧のオンオフを示すサブフレームデータを生成するサブフレームデータ生成部と、
前記サブフレームデータ生成部で生成したサブフレームデータに基づき前記表示素子を駆動する画素回路と、
前記赤外光光源のオンオフと前記可視光光源のオンオフとを制御する光源制御部と、
を備え、
前記駆動階調テーブルにおいて、前記混合映像信号の階調が所定の階調以下の場合、前記可視光映像用映像信号又は、前記赤外光映像用映像信号のフレームの開始から第1の所定の時間までの期間、前記表示素子の印加電圧がオフとなるように設定され、
前記光源制御部は、前記赤外光映像用映像信号のフレームの開始直後から前記赤外光光源をオンとし、前記赤外光映像用映像信号のフレームが終了するタイミングで前記赤外光光源をオフとし、前記駆動階調テーブルに基づいて前記赤外光映像用映像信号のフレームが終了した直後のタイミングである前記可視光映像用映像信号のフレームの開始から第2の所定の時間経過後に前記可視光光源をオンとし、前記可視光映像用映像信号のフレームが終了するタイミングで前記可視光光源をオフとする
ことを特徴とする映像表示装置。 - 前記第2の所定の時間は前記第1の所定の時間以下とする
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像表示装置。
