二酸化炭素および水から燃料を生成する電解セルを備え、前記電解セルは、触媒極と、対極と、前記触媒極と前記対極との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有し、前記触媒極は、二酸化炭素および水を還元して一酸化炭素および水素を生成するカソード材料と、一酸化炭素および水素から燃料を合成する燃料合成触媒と、を含み、前記カソード材料と前記燃料合成触媒との混合物で形成された電極であり、前記対極は、酸化物イオンを酸化して酸素を生成するアノード材料を含む燃料製造装置。
図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る燃料製造装置100は、炭酸ガス供給管1と、流量調整弁2と、給水管3と、給水ポンプ4と、蒸気発生器5と、蒸気供給管6と、合流配管7と、熱交換器8と、混合ガス供給管9と、電解セル10と、燃料回収管11と、空気吸入管12と、酸素ガス排出管13と、酸素ガス放出管14と、を備えている。

図2に示すように、燃料製造装置100の電解セル10としては、カソード材料で形成された燃料極(カソード)111と燃料合成触媒で形成された触媒層112とを積層した複合電極の形態の触媒極110Aを備える電解セル10Aを用いることができる。
図3に示すように、燃料製造装置100の電解セル10としては、カソード材料と燃料合成触媒との混合物で形成された単一電極の形態の触媒極110Bを備える電解セル10Bを用いることができる。

Claims (5)
- 二酸化炭素および水から燃料を生成する電解セルを備え、
前記電解セルは、触媒極と、対極と、前記触媒極と前記対極との間に配置された固体電解質層と、を有し、
前記触媒極は、二酸化炭素および水を還元して一酸化炭素および水素を生成するカソード材料と、一酸化炭素および水素から燃料を合成する燃料合成触媒と、を含み、前記カソード材料と前記燃料合成触媒との混合物で形成された電極であり、
前記対極は、酸化物イオンを酸化して酸素を生成するアノード材料を含む燃料製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料製造装置であって、
前記触媒極は、前記カソード材料で形成されたカソードと前記燃料合成触媒で形成された触媒層とを一体化させた電極である燃料製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料製造装置であって、
前記触媒極において、前記二酸化炭素および前記水を還元する反応と、前記一酸化炭素および前記水素から前記燃料を生成する反応とが、前記電解セルにおいて同時期に行われる燃料製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料製造装置であって、
前記燃料合成触媒が触媒する反応は、フィッシャー・トロプシュ反応であり、
前記燃料として炭化水素が生成される燃料製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料製造装置であって、
前記燃料合成触媒が触媒する反応は、メタン合成反応であり、
前記燃料としてメタンが生成される燃料製造装置。
