Description
本出願は、2017年5月20日出願の同時係属中の米国特許仮出願第62/509,097号の利益を主張し、その開示全体が、参照により本明細書に援用される。
本開示は、偽造防止及び他の用途での使用に好適な発光着色剤組成物に関する。
a)液体媒体と、
b)かかる液体媒体中に分散されたフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、
c)かかる液体中の発光剤であって、活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、発光剤と、を含む、湿潤発光組成物が提供される。
a)基材と、
b)かかる基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、フッ素含有ポリマーと、発光剤と、を含み、かかる発光剤が活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、物品が提供される。
a)液体媒体のブレンドと、複数のフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、発光剤と、を含む、湿潤発光組成物を形成することであって、かかる発光剤が、活性化放射線の適用時に発光し、かかるフッ素含有ポリマー粒子がかかる液体媒体中に分散されている、ことと、
b)かかる湿潤発光組成物を基材の表面上に塗布することと、
c)液体媒体を蒸発させることにより、乾燥発光組成物を形成することと、任意選択的にその後に、
d)保護層をかかる基材上に適用することであって、かかる乾燥発光組成物がかかる基材とかかる保護層との間にある、ことと、を含み、かかる基材及びかかる保護層のうちの少なくとも一方が、約10%以上の量の200nm~300nmの範囲の紫外線を透過する、発光物品を形成するプロセスが提供される。
I)
a)基材と、
b)かかる基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、フッ素含有ポリマーと、発光剤と、を含み、かかる発光剤が紫外線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、物品を提供することと、
II)かかる発光組成物に、200nm~400nmの範囲の紫外線を適用することと、
III)紫外線の適用による発光応答を判定することと、
IV)任意選択的に、工程III)で判定された発光応答を、予め選択した対照発光応答と比較することと、を含む、物品の認証方法が提供される。
フルオロポリマー(CTFE-VF2コポリマー、Aclon(登録商標)400シリーズ水中分散液、本明細書では、Honeywell International Inc.の商標である「Milk」とも称する)を、47%ポリマー固体を有する分散液として調製した。このコポリマーは、クロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)及び1,1-ジフルオロエチレン(VF2;フッ化ビニリデン;VDF)の2種類の主成分を有していた。ポリマー固体は、84重量%のCTFE及び16重量%のVF2を含んでいた。これらの水性ポリマー分散液の典型的な調製についての詳細な説明は、それぞれが本明細書と一致する範囲で参照により本明細書に組み込まれる、米国特許第6,365,684(B1)号及び同第6,369,178(B1)号に記載の実施例にある。
CD380を含有するコーティングされたサンプルの蛍光発光を、サンプルを検出器から26インチ離して取り付けた、Konica Minolta CS-1000分光放射計と、サンプルから7インチ離しかつ45°で取り付けた、UVP 8W Model UVLMS-38の254nmのUV線源を使用して試験した。サンプル1A及び1Bを、6ミルのPCTFEフィルム上にコーティングした(白色の光学的に中立なLenetaカードストック上で試験した)。サンプル2A及び2Bを、Winpak Ltd.(Winnipeg,Canada)から市販されているDrug-Pak(登録商標)ブランド箔などの典型的な蓋ストック用金属箔上にコーティングした。結果を表2に示す。
試験結果を図1~3のグラフにまとめる。
Lumilux(登録商標)短波紫外(SWUV)活性化材料の分散液を使用して作製されたコーティングでは、標準的なフレキソインクよりもPCTFE(Milk(商標))において増強された発光利点がある。紙などの他の基材上のコーティングについても同様の結果が得られる。
本明細書は以下の発明の態様を包含する。

a)液体媒体と、
b)前記液体媒体中に分散されたフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、
c)前記液体中の発光剤であって、活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、発光剤と、を含む、湿潤発光組成物。

前記発光剤が、発光顔料又は発光染料を含む、[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
[3]
前記発光剤が、前記液体媒体に可溶性であり、前記液体媒体中に溶解されており、前記液体媒体が水を含む、[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
[4]
前記発光剤が、前記液体媒体中に不溶性であり、前記液体媒体中に分散している、[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
[5]
前記発光剤が、前記発光剤上に200nm~300nmの範囲の紫外線を適用すると発光する、[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
[6]
前記発光剤が、前記組成物の約0.5%重量%~約30重量%を構成する、[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
[7]
[1]に記載の湿潤発光組成物をその表面上に有する基材を含む、物品。
[8]
a)基材と、
b)前記基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、フッ素含有ポリマーと、発光剤と、を含み、前記発光剤が活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、物品。
[9]
発光物品を形成するためのプロセスであって、
a)液体媒体のブレンドと、複数のフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、発光剤と、を含む、湿潤発光組成物を形成することであって、前記発光剤が、活性化放射線の適用時に発光し、前記フッ素含有ポリマー粒子が前記液体媒体中に分散されている、ことと、
b)前記湿潤発光組成物を基材の表面上に塗布することと、
c)前記液体媒体を蒸発させることにより、乾燥発光組成物を形成することと、任意選択的にその後に、
d)保護層を前記基材上に適用することであって、前記乾燥発光組成物が前記基材と前記保護層との間にある、ことと、を含み、前記基材及び前記保護層のうちの少なくとも一方が、約10%以上の量の200nm~300nmの範囲の紫外線を透過する、プロセス。

I)
a)基材と、
b)前記基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、フッ素含有ポリマーと、発光剤と、を含み、前記発光剤が紫外線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、物品を提供することと、

Claims (7)
- a)液体媒体と、
b)前記液体媒体中に分散されたフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、
c)前記液体媒体中の発光剤であって、活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、発光剤と、を含み、フッ素含有ポリマー粒子がポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンの粒子を含む、湿潤発光組成物。 - a)基材と、
b)前記基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、フッ素含有ポリマーと、発光剤とを含み、かつ結合剤を含まず、キャリアを含まない、前記発光剤が活性化放射線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、フッ素含有ポリマーがポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンを含む、物品。 - 発光物品を形成するためのプロセスであって、
a)液体媒体のブレンドと、複数のフッ素含有ポリマーの粒子と、発光剤と、を含む、湿潤発光組成物を形成することであって、前記発光剤が、活性化放射線の適用時に発光し、前記フッ素含有ポリマー粒子がポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンの粒子を含み、かつ前記液体媒体中に分散されている、ことと、
b)前記湿潤発光組成物を基材の表面上に塗布することと、
c)前記液体媒体を蒸発させることにより、乾燥発光組成物を形成することと、任意選択的にその後に、
d)保護層を前記基材上に適用することであって、前記乾燥発光組成物が前記基材と前記保護層との間にある、ことと、を含み、前記基材及び前記保護層のうちの少なくとも一方が、10%以上の量の200nm~300nmの範囲の紫外線を透過する、プロセス。 - I)
a)基材と、
b)前記基材の表面上の乾燥発光組成物であって、ポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンと、発光剤とから本質的になり、前記発光剤が紫外線の適用時に発光する、乾燥発光組成物と、を含む、物品を提供することと、
II)前記発光組成物に、200nm~400nmの範囲の紫外線を適用することと、
III)紫外線の適用による発光応答を判定することと、
IV)任意選択的に、工程III)で判定された前記発光応答を、予め選択した対照発光応答と比較することと、を含む、物品の認証方法。 - 発光剤が湿潤発光組成物の0.005重量%~10重量%を構成する、請求項1に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
- 液体媒体が水を含む、請求項1に記載の湿潤発光組成物。
- 発光剤が乾燥発光組成物の0.1重量%~10重量%を構成する、請求項2に記載の物品。
