Claims (2)
- 光信号と電気信号とを一方から他方に変換可能な光電気変換素子および該光電気変換素子を駆動するための駆動デバイスを内蔵するプラグコネクタと、該プラグコネクタが嵌合されるレセプタクルコネクタとを有し、プラグコネクタとレセプタクルコネクタとが互いの端子の接触により電気的に接続されるコネクタ組立体において、
プラグコネクタは、光信号の伝送のための光ファイバケーブルの前端側が該プラグコネクタの後端側に接続されて後方に延出し、前後方向に延びる一対の側縁部のそれぞれに側部端子が配列されており、
プラグコネクタとレセプタクルコネクタの少なくとも一方は、前後方向で、プラグコネクタとレセプタクルコネクタとの間に付勢力を生ずる弾性部材が、前後方向に対して直角なコネクタ幅方向に延びるプラグコネクタもしくはレセプタクルコネクタの前端縁部に設けられているとともに、上記付勢力のもとでのプラグコネクタのレセプタクルコネクタに対する付勢力方向における相対移動距離に限界値をもたらす規制部がレセプタクルコネクタにそして被規制部がプラグコネクタに形成されており、
上記プラグコネクタと上記レセプタクルコネクタは、前後方向およびコネクタ幅方向の両方向に対して直角な方向を嵌合方向としており、
上記規制部および上記被規制部は、上記側部端子の配列範囲よりも前方に設けられていることを特徴とするコネクタ組立体。 - 上記弾性部材は、上記前端縁部に配列されている弾性端部端子であることとする請求項1に記載の特徴とするコネクタ組立体。
