Description
Claims (11)
- 組織標本を形成し、冷凍する為の装置において、
2つ以上のモールドがユニットとして形成されるカセットであって、各モールドは、それぞれの組織標本を直接内部に収容するように構成され、前記モールドおよび/またはカセットはカバーを含む、カセットと、
低温貯蔵媒体を保持する為の空洞を含む断熱容器であって、前記カセットが所望の位置で前記断熱容器の内部に配向可能である、断熱容器と、
前記断熱容器の前記空洞の最上部の付近にレッジを含み、低温貯蔵媒体と直接的または間接的に接触させて前記2つ以上のモールドの下面で前記低温貯蔵媒体の上方に前記カセットを支持する、ハンズフリー手段と、
を備え、
前記2つ以上のモールドの上面は、前記低温貯蔵媒体から隔離される、装置。 - (a)前記カセットは、2つ以上のモールドを融合させることによって形成される、
あるいは、
(b)前記カセットは、モールド間の2つの寸法において、前記カセットの各縁部から、直線および横方向に配向された穿孔を有し、前記穿孔が、個別に覆われたモールドを備える複数の部分に前記モールドを分離させる手段である、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記カセットは、前記カセットの平面に対して実質的に垂直な隆起エッジを有し、前記断熱容器から前記モールドへの前記低温貯蔵媒体の飛散を防止する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記カセットを前記断熱容器に密封する為のガスケットを更に備え、
(a)前記ガスケットは、前記カセットの周囲の下の付近に配向され、又は、前記ガスケットは、前記カセットの下に配向され、前記カセットと同一形状を有し、さらに、
(b)前記ガスケットは、多孔質又は半多孔質であり、前記モールドとの熱的接触の為に、前記低温貯蔵媒体が前記ガスケットに流入することを可能にする、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記カセットは、前記カセットを持ち上げ又は位置決めする為の手段を更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記低温貯蔵媒体および前記モールドの間の気液界面における飛散を最小限に抑える為に多孔質包囲体を更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記2つ以上のモールドは、円錐、直方体の形状、錐台形状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記断熱容器は、所望のアクセスを前記断熱容器に与えるように調整可能である蓋を更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 各モールドに設けられた埋め込み媒体を更に備え、前記組織標本は、所望の配向および/または所望の形状に形成されて冷凍される、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 各モールドに設けられた埋め込み媒体を更に備え、前記組織標本は、所望の配向および/または所望の形状に形成されて冷凍される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 各サンプルを個々に順次調製して冷凍することなく、複数の組織標本を形成して冷凍する為の方法であって、
請求項1に記載の装置の2つ以上のモールドの各々に、埋め込み媒体および組織標本を追加するステップを含む、方法。
