Description
一般に、圧力容器は種々の流体、例えば、水素、酸素、天然ガス、窒素、プロパン、メタン、及び他の燃料を、圧力下で収容するために用いられる。通常、圧力容器の寸法又は構成はいかなるものでもよい。容器は重くても軽くてもよく、単回使用用(例えば、使い捨て)でも、再利用可能なものでも、高圧力対応なものでも、(例えば、1平方インチあたり(psi)50ポンド(344,738パスカル)を超える圧力)低圧力対応なものでも、(例えば、50psi、又は344,738パスカル未満)、高温度又は極低温度で流体を収容するために使用されるものでもよい。
[発明の概要]
一局面では、ボスは、ネックと、当該ネックから径方向外側に延在するフランジとを備える。ネックは、当該ネックを貫通する孔を有し、孔は長軸を有する。フランジは、外側面と、内側面と、長軸から最も遠い位置に周囲面とを備える。周囲面は、内側面と外側面とを接続し、ボスのいずれかの半径に沿って第1周縁頂部と第2周縁頂部とを備え、第1周縁頂部は第2周縁頂部よりも外側面の近くに位置する。
前記フランジは、外側面と、内側面と、前記長軸から最も遠い位置に周囲面と、を備え、
前記周囲面は、前記内側面と前記外側面とを接続し、
前記周囲面は、前記ボスのいずれかの半径に沿って、第1周縁頂部と第2周縁頂部とを備え、

Claims (13)
- 貫通した孔を有するネックであって、前記孔が長軸を有するネックと、前記ネックから径方向外側に延在するフランジと、を備えるボスであって、
前記フランジは、
外側面と、
内側面と、
前記長軸から最も遠い位置に周囲面と、を備え、
前記周囲面は、前記内側面と前記外側面とを接続し、
前記周囲面は、螺旋形のねじ山を備え、前記ボスのいずれかの半径に沿って、前記螺旋形のねじ山は、第1周縁頂部と第2周縁頂部とを備え、
前記第1周縁頂部は、前記第2周縁頂部よりも前記外側面の近くに位置する、ボス。 - 前記周囲面が、前記長軸に対して、略平行である、請求項1に記載のボス。
- 断面領域において前記長軸と前記第1周縁頂部との間の第1の距離が、前記長軸と前記第2周縁頂部との間の第2の距離よりも短い、請求項1に記載のボス。
- 前記第1周縁頂部が前記第2周縁頂部よりも小さい、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のボス。
- 請求項1に記載のボスとライナーとを備えた圧力容器であって、
前記ライナーは、前記ボスの前記周囲面と結合する外周面を備え、
前記外周面は、前記第1周縁頂部と第2周縁頂部と一致する輪郭を有する、圧力容器。 - 前記ボスが、前記フランジの外側面に環状タブを備え、前記ライナーが、前記タブを収容するように構成された溝を備える、請求項5に記載の圧力容器。
- 前記タブ及び前記溝が、前記タブと前記溝とのインターフェイスにおいて締まり嵌めを行うように構成された、請求項6に記載の圧力容器。
- 前記タブと前記溝との間に、ガスケットをさらに備える、請求項6又は7に記載の圧力容器。
- 請求項1に記載のボスとライナーとを備えた圧力容器の組み立て方法であって、
前記方法は、
前記フランジが前記開口を通過するように、前記ライナーを曲げることを含み、前記開口が前記周囲面の円周寸法よりも小さい円周寸法を有していて、
前記ボスを、前記ライナーの前記開口に挿入することと、
前記ボスの前記周囲面が前記ライナーの前記外周面と一致するように、前記ボスと前記ライナーとを接続することと、を含む方法。 - 前記ボスと前記ライナーとを接続することが、前記ボスの前記周囲面と前記ライナーの前記外周面とをスナップ嵌合することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ボスと前記ライナーとを接続することが、前記ライナーの前記外周面から材料を除去するように、前記ボスの前記周囲面を前記ライナーの前記外周面に対して回転させることを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ボスを、前記長軸に沿って前記ライナーに対して前進させることをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記ボスの前記周囲面と前記ライナーの前記外周面との間のインターフェイスにおいて、締まり嵌めを行うことをさらに含む、請求項9~12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
