Description
前記電極体は、前記正極と前記負極を一つずつ備え、
前記セパレーターは、シート状の基材の表裏両面に樹脂からなる接着層が形成され、
前記基材は、多孔質構造を有して所定の温度で溶融する樹脂材料からなり、
前記接着層は、ポリフッ化ビニリデンからなり、
前記外装体は、対面するラミネートフィルムを周回する枠状の周縁領域が熱圧着によって溶着され、
前記電極体は前記周縁領域の内方に配置され、
前記電極体において前記正極と前記負極とが積層されてなる積層部は、前記外装体の前記周縁領域の内側周縁に対して離間し、
前記正極と前記負極は、前記積層部において前記セパレーターに溶着されておらず、
前記外装体の前記周縁領域は、内周側が前記セパレーターにおける枠状の周縁部の前記接着層を介して溶着され、外周側が前記セパレーターを介さずに溶着されている、
ことを特徴とするラミネート型蓄電素子としている。
本発明の実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子の外観や基本的な構成は、図1に示したラミネート型蓄電素子1と同様である。しかし、セパレーターの構造と外装体の封止構造が従来からある一般的なラミネート型蓄電素子とは異なっている。図3は本発明の実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子の内部構造を示す図である。図3(A)~(D)は、いずれも図1(A)におけるa-a矢視断面に相当する図である。図3(A)は、図1に示した従来のラミネート型蓄電素子の内部構造を示す断面図であり、図3(B)、および図3(C)は、本発明の実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子1aに用いられるセパレーター40a、および一般的なラミネート型蓄電素子1に用いられるセパレーター40のそれぞれの構造を示す断面図である。また、図3(D)は本発明の実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子1aの内部構造を示す図である。
上記サンプルとして、図3(D)に示した実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子1aと、実施例に対して比較例となるラミネート型蓄電素子とを作製した。比較例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子としては、図1や図3(A)に示した従来の一般的なラミネート型蓄電素子1に相当する第1の比較例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子と、第1の比較例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子に対し、表面に接着層が形成されたセパレーターを用いている点が異なっている第2の比較例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子を作製した。
上記実施例に係るラミネート型蓄電素子に用いたセパレーターは、基材の表裏両面に接着層が形成されていたが、表裏一方の面に形成されていてもよい。そして、セパレーターの周縁部が外装体の周縁領域の内周側に介在して、当該周縁部がラミネートフィルムの内面に溶着されていればよい。

Claims (2)
- 扁平袋状に成形された外装体内にシート状の正極と負極がセパレーターを介して積層された平板状の電極体が電解液とともに密封されてなり、
前記電極体は、前記正極と前記負極を一つずつ備え、
前記セパレーターは、シート状の基材の表裏両面に樹脂からなる接着層が形成され、
前記基材は、多孔質構造を有して所定の温度で溶融する樹脂材料からなり、
前記接着層は、ポリフッ化ビニリデンからなり、
前記外装体は、対面するラミネートフィルムを周回する枠状の周縁領域が熱圧着によって溶着され、
前記電極体は前記周縁領域の内方に配置され、
前記電極体において前記正極と前記負極とが積層されてなる積層部は、前記外装体の前記周縁領域の内側周縁に対して離間し、
前記正極と前記負極は、前記積層部において前記セパレーターに溶着されておらず、
前記外装体の前記周縁領域は、内周側が前記セパレーターにおける枠状の周縁部の前記接着層を介して溶着され、外周側が前記セパレーターを介さずに溶着されている、
ことを特徴とするラミネート型蓄電素子。 - 請求項1に記載のラミネート型蓄電素子において、前記セパレーターは、前記周縁部にのみ前記接着層が形成されていることを特徴とするラミネート型蓄電素子。
