Claims (9)
- 複数の画素を有する表示部と、該表示部に画像を表示するための画像信号を形成する画像処理部を備え、
前記画素は、
透過させる光のスペクトルのピークが赤色寄りの緑色のスペクトルである第1のカラーフィルタを有する第1副画素と、
前記ピークが青色寄りの緑色のスペクトルである第2のカラーフィルタを有する第2副画素と、
前記ピークが赤色のスペクトルである第3のカラーフィルタを有する第3副画素と、
前記ピークが青色のスペクトルである第4のカラーフィルタを有する第4副画素とを有し、
前記画像処理部は、第1の色を表示する第1画素領域と前記第1の色よりも輝度が高い第2の色を表示する第2画素領域とを隣接して前記表示部に表示する場合、該第2画素領域の画素に対応する画像信号にゲインをかけて該第2画素領域の明度を該第1画素領域の明度未満にし、前記第1の色が前記第1副画素と前記第3副画素の組み合わせで再現される黄色である場合、前記第1画素領域における前記第1の色の再現に前記第2副画素を組み合わせる
表示装置。 - 前記第1副画素と、前記第2副画素との組み合わせで緑色を再現する
請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 外光の明るさを検知する検知部を備え、
前記画像処理部は、前記外光の明るさに基づいて前記第2の色に対応する画素の画素信号にかけるゲイン係数を決定する
請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。 - 複数の画素を有する表示部と、該表示部に画像を表示するための画像信号を形成する画像処理部と、
外光の明るさを検知する検知部を備え、
前記画像処理部は、第1の色を表示する第1画素領域と前記第1の色よりも輝度が高い第2の色を表示する第2画素領域とを隣接して前記表示部に表示する場合、該第2画素領域の画素に対応する画像信号にゲインをかけて該第2画素領域の明度を該第1画素領域の明度未満にし、前記外光の明るさに基づいて前記第2の色に対応する画素の画素信号にかけるゲイン係数を決定する
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画像処理部は、前記外光の明るさが所定以上の明るさである場合、前記第2画素領域の明度が前記第1画素領域の明度未満になるよう前記第2画素領域に属する画素に対応した画像信号にゲインをかける
請求項3又は4に記載の表示装置。 - 複数の画素を有する表示部と、該表示部に画像を表示するための画像信号を形成する画像処理部を備え、
前記画像処理部は、第1の色を表示する第1画素領域と前記第1の色よりも輝度が高い第2の色を表示する第2画素領域とを隣接して前記表示部に表示する場合、該第2画素領域の画素に対応する画像信号にゲインをかけて該第2画素領域の明度を該第1画素領域の明度未満にし、
前記画素が有する複数の副画素はそれぞれ、カラーフィルタを透過する光を反射する反射電極を有する
表示装置。 - 前記第1の色は黄色であり、前記第2の色は白である
請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画像処理部は、前記第1画素領域が前記第2画素領域に包囲されている場合に当該第2画素領域の画素に対応する画像信号に前記ゲインをかける
請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画像処理部は、隣接する前記第1画素領域と前記第2画素領域の大きさが同じか前記第1画素領域の方が小さい場合に当該第2画素領域の画素に対応する画像信号に前記ゲインをかける
請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。
