Description
1.アレイ状に配置された複数個の画素群がその画素構造に備わり、第1画素副群及び第2画素副群が各画素群に備わり、それらが第1方向に沿い隣り合わせに配置されており、且つそれらがそれぞれ相異なる三色のサブ画素群を含んでいること、第1画素副群及び第2画素副群が互いにずらされていること、各サブ画素群に4個の同色サブ画素が備わり、少なくとも2個の同色サブ画素にマスクの蒸着開口が対応していることから、同色サブ画素群の規則的交番配置を実現することができ、そのマスクの強度を高めることができ、蒸着マスクの準備プロセス及び蒸着プロセスの難度を下げることができ、小型サブ画素の準備を行うことができ、且つ表示デバイスのPPIを改善することができる;
2.画素構造内に三色が比較的均一に分布することでより良好な表示効果を得ることができ、各サブ画素群に4個の同色サブ画素が含まれているため各画素ユニットに相異なる三色のサブ画素が含まれるよう対応する画素ユニットを様々な表示条件に従い区分することができ、またそれら三色が三原色即ち赤、緑及び青である場合は、別のグレースケール及び色合いを実現すべく赤、緑及び青の表示スケールを調整することで真の意味でのパンクロマティック表示を実現すること、ひいては活用範囲を拡げることができる。
Claims (6)
- 複数のサブ画素群を有するアレイに配置された複数個の画素群を備え、それら画素群それぞれが、行方向に隣り合わせに配置され且つ列方向に互いにずらされている第1画素副群及び第2画素副群を含み、それら第1画素副群及び第2画素副群それぞれが、第1サブ画素群、第2サブ画素群及び第3サブ画素群を含め相異なる三色のサブ画素群を含み、それらサブ画素群それぞれが4個の同色サブ画素を含み、
上記画素群それぞれにて、上記第1画素副群及び上記第2画素副群に含まれる相異なる三色の上記サブ画素群は、上記列方向に沿い同じ順序で繰り返し配置され、
上記サブ画素群それぞれにて同色の4つの上記サブ画素が同じ形状及び同じサイズを有し、上記第2画素副群の上記列方向の高さが上記第1画素副群の上記列方向の高さよりも高いとされている許で、同じ画素群にて、上記第1画素副群における第1色のサブ画素群は、上記行方向に沿った中心線に対して体系的に配置された4つのサブ画素を持ち、上記中心線は、第2色のサブ画素群と上記第2画素副群の第1色のサブ画素群との間の境界線と一致し、
上記第1画素副群の第2列における上記第1サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素及び上記第1サブ画素群に隣接する上記第2サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素、及び、上記第2画素副群の第1列における上記第3サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素が第1画素ユニットを構成し、
上記第1画素副群の第2列における上記第3サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素、及び、上記第2画素副群の第1列における上記第1サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素及び上記第1サブ画素群に隣接する上記第2サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素が第2画素ユニットを構成し、
上記第1画素副群の第2列は、上記第2画素副群の第1列に隣接して配置され、
上記第1画素ユニットと上記第2画素ユニットには、異なる駆動信号が提供される、
ことを特徴とする画素構造。 - 画素構造であって、上記サブ画素群それぞれにて、上記4個の同色サブ画素が、上記列方向及び上記行方向に沿った2本の行及び2本の列からなるアレイ状に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素構造。
- 複数のサブ画素群を有するアレイに配置された複数個の画素群を備え、それら画素群それぞれが、行方向に隣り合わせに配置され且つ列方向に互いにずらされている第1画素副群及び第2画素副群を含み、それら第1画素副群及び第2画素副群それぞれが、第1サブ画素群、第2サブ画素群及び第3サブ画素群を含め相異なる三色のサブ画素群を含み、それらサブ画素群それぞれが4個の同色サブ画素を含み、
上記画素群それぞれにて、上記第1画素副群及び上記第2画素副群に含まれる相異なる三色の上記サブ画素群は、上記列方向に沿い同じ順序で繰り返し配置され、
上記サブ画素群それぞれにて同色の4つの上記サブ画素が同じ形状及び同じサイズを有し、上記第2画素副群の上記列方向の高さが上記第1画素副群の上記列方向の高さ未満とされている許で、同じ画素群にて、上記第2画素副群における第1色のサブ画素群は、上記行方向に沿った中心線に対して体系的に配置された4つのサブ画素を持ち、上記中心線は、第2色のサブ画素群と上記第1画素副群の第3色のサブ画素群との間の境界線と一致し、
上記第1画素副群の第2列における上記第1サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素及び上記第1サブ画素群に隣接する上記第2サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素、及び、上記第2画素副群の第1列における上記第3サブ画素群の2つのサブ画素が第1画素ユニットを構成し、
上記第1画素副群の第2列は、上記第2画素副群の第1列に隣接して配置され、
上記第1画素ユニットと上記第2画素ユニットには、異なる駆動信号が提供される、
ことを特徴とする画素構造。 - 上記サブ画素の各々の形状は、直角コーナー長方形、丸コーナー長方形及びノッチ型長方形のいずれかであり、その長方形の長さ幅比は2:1、3:1、3:2及び4:3のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1又は3に記載の画素構造。
- 画素構造であって、同じ画素群にて、上記第1画素副群及び上記第2画素副群内でサブ画素が共有されていないことを特徴とする請求項1又は3に記載の画素構造。
- 請求項1乃至5のうちいずれか一項に記載の画素構造を備える表示デバイスであることを特徴とする表示デバイス。
