Claims (20)

第1表面及び第2表面を画定する前部基材、

前記前部基材と前記後部基材との間に配置される電気光学媒体、及び、
前記前部基材と前記後部基材との間で前記電気光学媒体を取り囲む周辺シール、
を含み、
前記後部基材は、前記表示ウィンドウに凹部を画定し、
前記撮像素子は、前記表示ウィンドウで前記前部基材を通して画像データを取得する
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記撮像素子は、前記後部基材によって占められていたであろう領域内で、前記第2表面の近くに位置決めされている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記周辺シールは、前記凹部の周囲の少なくとも一部分に従う
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記前部基材と前記後部基材との間に配置されるグラフィック
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記グラフィックは、前記撮像素子の上方に配置され情報を運転手に伝達する指標を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記グラフィックは、前記表示ウィンドウの周囲の周りに延在する
ことを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記前部基材は、前記表示ウィンドウで少なくとも部分的に反射性であり、前記撮像素子を少なくとも部分的に隠す
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記撮像素子は、車両のブラインドスポットゾーンをカバーする視野を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 開口部を画定する前部を有するハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に配置され、暗い状態と透明な状態との間で動作可能な電気光学装置と、
前記電気光学装置に隣接する撮像素子と、
前記電気光学装置の外側隅上に配置される表示ウィンドウと、
を備え、
前記電気光学装置は、前部基材及び後部基材を有しており、
前記後部基材は、前記表示ウィンドウに凹部を画定し、
前記撮像素子は、前記表示ウィンドウで前記前部基材を通して画像データを取得する
ことを特徴とするバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記電気光学装置の前記前部基材と前記後部基材との間に配置されるグラフィック
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記グラフィックは、前記撮像素子の上方に配置され情報を運転手に伝達する指標を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記グラフィックは、前記表示ウィンドウの周囲の周りに延在する
ことを特徴とする請求項10または11に記載のバックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記前部基材は、前記表示ウィンドウで少なくとも部分的に反射性であり、前記撮像素子を少なくとも部分的に隠す

前記表示ウィンドウは、前記後部基材の前記凹部に近接する前記前部基材を通して視認可能であり、
前記撮像素子は、前記表示ウィンドウで前記前部基材を通して画像データを取得する
ことを特徴とする車両用の外部バックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ハウジングの後部の周りに横方向に延在する外部バンドと、
前記外部バンドに画定される方向指示灯と、
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の外部バックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記方向指示灯は、複数の直線状に整列した発光ダイオードを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の外部バックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記撮像素子は、車両のブラインドスポットゾーンをカバーする視野を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項15乃至17のいずれかに記載の外部バックミラーアセンブリ。 - 前記ハウジングに固定されたキャリアであって、第2撮像素子視覚領域と第1開口部とを有しているキャリアと、
指標と光学的に通信するように前記第1開口部と前記電気光学装置とを通して発光するように動作可能である光源と、
を更に備え、
前記撮像素子は、前記第2撮像素子視覚領域を通して画像データを取得するように動作可能である
