Description
(1)差動伝送帯域を広げるためには、使用周波数帯域内の差動損失(Sdd21)を小さくする必要があり、そのためにはシールドの過剰損失を小さくすることが望ましい。すなわち、サックアウトは無い方がよい。
(2)差動同相変換量(Scd21)を小さくし、ロバスト性を高めるためには、シールドの過剰損失を大きくすることが望ましい。すなわち、サックアウトがある方がよい。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態に係る多対差動伝送用ケーブルの概略の構成例を示す断面図である。
本実施の形態によれば、ケーブルの製造時やケーブルが屈曲された際に、2本の信号線11とそれらを囲む絶縁体12の材料の電気特性に非対称性が生じても、非対称性による差動同相変換量の増加をシールドテープの螺旋巻きによる同相損失の増加で抑制できるので、差動伝送帯域が広く、かつシールドテープの絶縁層が1μm以上の従来のものと比べて電気特性のロバスト性が高くなる。すなわち、100MHz以上20GHz以下の使用周波数帯域において、差動損失にはサックアウトが発生せず、同相損失にはサックアウトが発生する電気特性を有することができる。また、酸化膜13bの厚さを10nm以上200nm未満とすれば、上記の電気特性がより顕著となる。
図4は、シールドテープ13を構成する銅箔に形成した酸化膜13bの厚さの測定結果の一例を示し、(a)は全体図、(b)は(a)の部分拡大図である。縦軸は元素組成比(単位:At%)、横軸は最表面からのエッチング深さ(単位:nm)を示している。図4(a)は、縦軸が0〜100At%まで示し、図4(b)は、縦軸が0〜10At%まで示している。
シールドテープ13は、絶縁体層として、例えば厚さが10nm以上200nm未満のポリエステル等からなる樹脂フィルムを導体13aに接着してもよい。また、シールドテープ13は、例えば銅からなる帯状の金属箔である銅箔テープの表面に、樹脂からなる厚さ10nm以上200nm未満の絶縁体をコーティングしたものでもよい。

Claims (3)
- 一対の信号線と、
前記一対の信号線を被覆する絶縁体と、
前記絶縁体の周囲に螺旋巻きで巻き付けられたシールドテープとを備え、
前記シールドテープは、一方の表面に絶縁体層としての酸化膜が形成された金属箔であり、
前記酸化膜の厚さが10nm以上1μm未満であり、
100MHz以上20GHz以下の使用周波数帯域において、差動損失にはサックアウトが発生せず、同相損失にはサックアウトが発生する、
差動伝送用ケーブル。 - 前記シールドテープは、前記酸化膜の厚さが10nm以上200nm未満である、
請求項1に記載の差動伝送用ケーブル。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の差動信号伝送用ケーブルを複数備え、
前記複数の前記差動信号伝送用ケーブルを一括してシールドしてなる、
多芯差動信号伝送用ケーブル。
