Description
図1は、インバータ2を介して負荷3に結合された自然冷却用電池システム1の概略図を示しており、インバータ2および電池システム1の両方は、上位システムコントローラ4によって監視されている。電池システム1は、電池セル101、電池管理システム102、電流センサ103、各電池セルの電圧を計測する電圧測定回路104、複数個直列に接続された電池セル101の総電圧を測定する電圧センサ105、温度センサ106、リレー107と有している。電池システム1は双方向に情報を送信できる通信ケーブルを介して上位システムコントローラ4に接続されている。
当該制御回路102は、前記温度上昇予測のうち前記電池セルの使用制限温度を超えない温度上昇予測に対応する充放電電流(Ii)を選択する。このような構成にすることによって、将来の充電/放電電流は予測不可能であったとしても電池セル101が使用制限温度を超えず、電池システムが充放電プロセスを停止する頻度を低下させること、および仮に充放電プロセスが停止したとしても復帰までの時間短縮化した電池システムを提供することが可能となる。
続いて実施例2について説明する。ハイブリッド電気自動車などの輸送用途では、予測運転時間、運転パターン、ユーザー運転スタイル、平坦/斜面道路、気象情報などの追加情報がカーナビゲーションシステムから利用可能になる場合がある。
続いて実施例3について説明する。例えば、太陽電池発電所の出力電力を平滑化するために電池システムが設置されている電力網アプリケーションでは、太陽光発電出力を1日前に予測することができ、電池システムの充放電要件が予期可能である。

Claims (1)
- 複数の電池セルと、温度センサと、電流センサと、電圧センサと、前記電池セルの充放電電流を制御する制御回路と、を有する電池システムにおいて、
前記制御回路は、
前記電池セルの充電状態、劣化状態、およびその他の電池パラメータを計算するための演算部と、
異なる電流制限値および異なるタイムウィンドウ幅を格納するメモリ部と、
前記電流制限値および前記タイムウィンドウ幅の各組合せのうち最適な組合せを選択する最適条件演算部と、を有し、
前記最適条件演算部は、次のサイクルに進むと、その時点の温度情報および充放電電流に基づいて、再び最適な組合せを選択するものであって、
前記最適な組合せは、前記電池セルを使用制限温度以下に保ち、かつ、前記電池セルの利用率を増加させる組合せであることを特徴とする電池システム。
