Description
本願は、2015年8月18日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/206,464号の利益を主張し、米国特許仮出願第62/206,464号の出願は、本願の開示内容と矛盾しない程度まで参照により本明細書に援用される。
本開示内容は、医療機器用包装フィルムからの滅菌ガスの放出に概ね関する。より詳細には、本開示内容は、医療機器用包装からのClO2ガスの制御された放出のための組成物及び方法に関する。
二酸化塩素(ClO2)が、強力な酸化剤であり、かつ滅菌剤である。今日では、それは、製紙パルプ産業の漂白プロセスにおいて、また水処理用滅菌剤として、主に使用される。また、それは、食物処理、菌・かび燻煙、生体膜処理、さらには、トコムシ及び耐寒性炭疽菌の胞子の処理などの様々な用途において、広範な殺生物剤として有用であることが示された。
本明細書において、とりわけ、多層医療機器用包装フィルムに包まれた医療機器を滅菌又は消毒するための制御されたオンデマンドClO2ガス放出を提供する多層医療機器用包装フィルムが、説明される。本明細書において説明される包装は、紫外(UV)光及び水分の両方への曝露時にClO2ガスを放出する。
ここでは本開示内容の対象の様々な実施形態への言及が詳細に行われ、それらのうちの幾つかの実施形態は図面において示される。
(i)ポリエチレンの層;
(ii)二酸化塩素生成層;
(iii)タイ層;
(iv)酸素バリア層を含む第一層;
(v)タイ層;及び
(vi)使用頻度の高い層(abuse layer)
を有する。そのフィルムは、所望により、上記順序内に配置される追加の層を有してもよい。

1.5ミルLDPE/1.5ミルEVOH/1ミルLLDPE亜塩素酸ナトリウム
また、EVA(デュポンElvax(登録商標)3124EVA)の単層フィルムを複数調製した。これらには、亜塩素酸ナトリウムが含まれなかった。
(1) 第一層;及び
ポリマー組成物と複数の亜塩素酸イオンとを含む二酸化塩素生成層;
を含む多層医療包装フィルムであって、該二酸化塩素生成層が、エネルギー活性化された触媒を実質的に含まず、かつ酸放出化合物を実質的に含まない多層医療包装フィルム。
(2) 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、亜塩素酸ナトリウム、亜塩素酸カリウム及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される塩に存在する、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(3) 前記第一層が、酸素バリア層であり、かつ該酸素バリア層が、アルミ箔、金属コーティングされたポリマー、金属酸化物コーティングされたポリマー、又は芳香族ポリアミドポリマーを含む、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(4) 前記第一層が、酸素バリア層であり、かつ該酸素バリア層が、エチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体、ポリ塩化ビニリデン共重合体、又は脂肪族ポリアミドを含む、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(5) 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、15μm未満の厚さを有するコーティングである、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(6) 前記ポリマー組成物が、ポリエチレン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル、エチレン−α−オレフィン及びポリプロピレンの少なくとも1つを含む、項目5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(7) 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して0.1質量%〜30質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、項目5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(8) 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して10質量%〜20質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、項目5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(9) 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、少なくとも25μmの厚さを有する、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(10) 前記ポリマー組成物が、ポリエチレン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル、エチレン−α−オレフィン及びポリプロピレンの少なくとも1つを含む、項目9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(11) 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して0.1質量%〜25質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、項目9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(12) 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して5質量%〜20質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、項目9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(13) 前記第一層が、前記二酸化塩素生成層と近接する外層であり、かつ該外層が、ポリエチレンとポリプロピレンの少なくとも一方を含む、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(14) 前記第一層が、乱用防止層であり、かつ該乱用防止層が、UV光透過性である、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(15) 前記フィルムが、下記順序の層構成:
ポリエチレンの層;
前記二酸化塩素生成層;
タイ層;
酸素バリア層を含む前記第一層;
タイ層;及び
使用頻度の高い層;
を有し、かつ任意の追加の層が、上記順序内に配置されることができる、項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
(16) 項目1に記載の多層医療包装フィルムを含む側壁を含み、かつ該側壁の内面により規定される内部容積を含む医療パッケージ。
(17) 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、前記側壁の前記内面と近接する、項目16に記載の医療パッケージ。
(18) 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、前記側壁の前記内面より小さい表面積を有する、項目16に記載の医療パッケージ。
Claims (21)
- 第一層;及び
ポリマー組成物と複数の亜塩素酸イオンとを含む二酸化塩素生成層;
を含む多層医療包装フィルムであって、該二酸化塩素生成層が、2質量%未満のエネルギー活性化された触媒を含み、かつ0.5質量%未満の酸放出化合物を含み、そして該エネルギー活性化された触媒:該複数の亜塩素酸イオン源の質量比が、1以下:20であり、かつ該酸放出化合物:該複数の亜塩素酸イオン源の質量比が、1以下:100である多層医療包装フィルム。 - 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、亜塩素酸ナトリウム、亜塩素酸カリウム及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される塩に存在する、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記第一層が、酸素バリア層であり、かつ該酸素バリア層が、アルミ箔、金属コーティングされたポリマー、金属酸化物コーティングされたポリマー、又は芳香族ポリアミドポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記第一層が、酸素バリア層であり、かつ該酸素バリア層が、エチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体、ポリ塩化ビニリデン共重合体、又は脂肪族ポリアミドを含む、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、15μm未満の厚さを有するコーティングである、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記ポリマー組成物が、ポリエチレン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル、エチレン−α−オレフィン及びポリプロピレンの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して0.1質量%〜30質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、請求項5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して10質量%〜20質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、請求項5に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、少なくとも25μmの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記ポリマー組成物が、ポリエチレン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル、エチレン−α−オレフィン及びポリプロピレンの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して0.1質量%〜25質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、請求項9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記複数の亜塩素酸イオンが、塩に存在し、かつ該塩が、前記二酸化塩素生成層の総質量に対して5質量%〜20質量%の範囲内の量で存在する、請求項9に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記第一層が、前記二酸化塩素生成層と近接する外層であり、かつ該外層が、ポリエチレンとポリプロピレンの少なくとも一方を含む、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記第一層が、乱用防止層であり、かつ該乱用防止層が、UV光透過性である、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記フィルムが、下記順序の層構成:
ポリエチレンの層;
前記二酸化塩素生成層;
タイ層;
酸素バリア層を含む前記第一層;
タイ層;及び
使用頻度の高い層;
を有し、かつ任意の追加の層が、上記順序内に配置されることができる、請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。 - 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、エネルギー活性化された触媒を含まない、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、酸放出化合物を含まない、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、エネルギー活性化された触媒を含まず、かつ酸放出化合物を含まない、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の多層医療包装フィルム。
- 請求項1に記載の多層医療包装フィルムを含む側壁を含み、かつ該側壁の内面により規定される内部容積を含む医療パッケージ。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、前記側壁の前記内面と近接する、請求項19に記載の医療パッケージ。
- 前記二酸化塩素生成層が、前記側壁の前記内面より小さい表面積を有する、請求項19に記載の医療パッケージ。
