本プロセスは、付属部10を提供することを含む。付属部10は、図1に示されるようにベース12及び頂部14を有する。付属部10は、1つ以上のポリマー材料(すなわち、混成物)から作製されてもよい。ベース12は、エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーを含有する、またはそうでなければそれから形成される。ベース12は、エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーと1つ以上の追加のポリマーとから成るポリマー混成物から作製されてもよい。エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーと混成するための好適な材料の非限定的な例としては、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)、エチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA)、エチレンメチルアクリレート(EMA)、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマー(EAA)、プロピレンホモポリマー、プロピレンコポリマー、プロピレンインパクトコポリマーが挙げられる。
(A)約1.7〜約3.5のMw/Mn、摂氏度での少なくとも1つの融点Tm、及びグラム/立方センチメートルでの密度dを有し、ここで、Tm及びdの数値は、以下の関係に対応する。
(B)約1.7〜約3.5のMw/Mnを有し、かつJ/gでの融解熱ΔH、及び最高DSCピークと最高結晶化分析分別(「CRYSTAF」)ピークとの間の温度差として定義される摂氏度でのデルタ量ΔTを特徴とし、ここで、ΔT及びΔHの数値は、以下の関係を有する。
(C)エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマーの圧縮成形フィルムで測定される、300パーセントの歪み及び1回のサイクルでの、パーセントでの弾性回復Reを有し、かつグラム/立方センチメートルでの密度dを有し、ここで、Re及びdの数値は、エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマーが架橋相を実質的に含まないときに、以下の関係を満たす。
(D)TREFを使用して分別されるときに40℃〜130℃の間で溶出する分子量分画を有し、分画が、同一の温度間で溶出する同等のランダムエチレンインターポリマー分画のモルコモノマー含有量よりも、少なくとも5パーセント高いモルコモノマー含有量を有するという点を特徴とし、ここで、該同等のランダムエチレンインターポリマーは、同一のコモノマーを有し、エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマーのメルトインデックス、密度、及び(ポリマー全体に基づく)モルコモノマー含有量の10パーセント以内の、メルトインデックス、密度、及びモルコモノマー含有量を有する、または
(E)25℃での保管係数G’(25℃)及び100℃での保管係数G’(100℃)を有し、ここで、G’(25℃)対G’(100℃)の比率は、約1:1〜約9:1の範囲内である。
(F)TREFを使用して分別されるときに40℃〜130℃の間で溶出する分子分画を有し、分画が、少なくとも0.5〜最大約1までのブロック指数、及び約1.3よりも大きい分子量分布Mw/Mnを有するという点を特徴とする、または
(G)ゼロ超〜最大約1.0までの平均ブロック指数、及び約1.3よりも大きい分子量分布Mw/Mnを有する。
Tmは、80℃、または85℃、または90℃から、95℃、または99℃、または100℃、または105℃〜110℃、または115℃、または120℃、または125℃までである。
(i)80℃、または85℃、または90℃〜95℃、または99℃、または100℃、または105℃〜110℃、または115℃、または120℃、または125℃の融解温度(Tm)、
(ii)0.86g/cc、または0.87g/cc、または0.88g/ccから0.89g/ccまでの密度、
(iii)50〜85重量%の軟質区分及び40〜15重量%の硬質区分、
(iv)軟質区分中、10モル%、または13モル%、または14モル%、または15モル%から、16モル%、または17モル%、または18モル%、または19モル%、または20モル%までのオクテン、
(v)硬質区分中、0.5モル%、または1.0モル%、または2.0モル%、または3.0モル%から、4.0モル%、または5モル%、または6モル%、または7モル%、または9モル%までのオクテン、
(vi)1g/10分、または2g/10分、または5g/10分、または7g/10分〜10g/10分、または15g/10分〜20g/10分のメルトインデックス(MI)、
(vii)65、または70、または71、または72から、73、または74、または75、または77、または79、または80までのショアA硬度、
(viii)ASTM D1708に従って測定される、21℃、300%分・1の変形率での、50%または60%から、70%、または80%、または90%までの弾性回復(Re)、
(ix)ブロックの多分散分布及びブロックサイズの多分散分布。
本プロセスは、付属部ベースを2つの対向する複層フィルム間に配置することを含む。ベース12は、図2に示されるように、2つの対向する複層フィルム、複層フィルム16及び複層フィルム18間に配置される、またはそうでなければ位置付けられる。各複層フィルムは、オレフィン系ポリマーを含有するそれぞれのシール層を有する。
本プロセスは、対向する加熱されたフラットシールバーによって、ベースをフラットシールすることを含む。図3は、複層フィルム16と複層フィルム18との間に位置するベース12を示す。用語「フラットシールすること」は、対向するフラット熱シールバーによってベース12を圧縮することによって、ベース壁15の対向する内部部分が接触する、またはそうでなければ互いに触れるようにする行為である。ベース12は、複層フィルム16と複層フィルム18との間に位置する、またはそうでなければ「挟まれる」。フィルム−ベース−フィルムサンドイッチは、第1のシールステーションに移動され、フラットシールバー20とフラットシールバー22との間に配置され得る。フラットシールバー20は、フラットシールバー22に対向し、フラットシールバー20、22は、シールバーを互いに向かって、及びそれから離れて移動させて、熱シール手順を実行するのに好適な構造及び機構を含む。フラットシールバー20及び22は加熱され、プロセスは、ベースが複層フィルム16と複層フィルム18との間に挟まれた状態で、ベース12をフラットシールすることを含む。フラットシールは、図3に示されるように、対向するシール接合部24、26をベース12の平坦な端部23、25に形成する。
(i)該ベースについて、115℃〜125℃の融解温度Tm1を有するエチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーを選択することと、
(ii)該シール層について、融解温度Tm2が、Tm1よりも10℃〜40℃低くあるように、Tm2を有するオレフィン系ポリマーを選択することと、を含む。
(i)160℃または170℃から、180℃、または190℃、または200℃までの温度、
(ii)700ニュートン(N)または750Nから、800N、または850N、または900Nの圧力(またはシール力)、
(iii)0.1秒、または0.5秒、または0.75秒、または1.0秒、または2.0秒、または3.0秒、または4.0秒、または5.0秒から、6.0秒、または7.0秒、または0.75秒、または8.0秒、または9.0秒、または10秒までの期間(シール時間もしくは滞留時間)の、(i)及び/または(ii)の適用。
本プロセスは、対向する湾曲シールバーによって、対向するシール接合部をポイントシールすることを含む。フラットシールステップ後、溶接構築物30は、第2のシールステーションに移動する。第2のシールステーションで、対向する湾曲シールバー32、34は、溶接構築物30上に閉鎖する。図5に示されるように、各湾曲シールバー32、34は、閉鎖された湾曲シールバー32、34の直径Dが、ベース12の直径Eよりも大きくなるように構築される。第2のシールステーションで、コーキング28は、流動性である、またはそうでなければ柔順である。閉鎖時、対向する湾曲シールバー32、34は、シール接合部24及びシール接合部26に圧縮力を適用する。したがって、本明細書で使用される場合、「ポイントシールすること」は、ベース上部部分13aまたはベース下部部分13bとの接触なく、または最小限の接触で、対向する湾曲シールバーによって、シール接合部24及びシール接合部26に圧縮力を適用する行為である。このようにして、ポイントシールは、シール層16、18及びコーキング28をシール接合部24でともにピンチし、シール接合部24を閉鎖する。同様に、ポイントシールは、シール層16、18及びコーキング28をシール接合部26でともにピンチし、シール接合部26を閉鎖する。ポイントシールは、シール接合部24、26のあらゆる残りの間隙を充填する、またはそうでなければ閉鎖する。ピンチ中、閉鎖された湾曲シールバー32、34は、ベース上部部分13aもしくはベース下部部分13bに熱もしくは圧縮力を適用しないか、または実質的に適用しない。
(i)18℃、または20℃、または22℃から、25℃または30℃までの温度、
(ii)700Nまたは750Nから、800N、または850N、または900Nの圧力(またはシール力)、
(iii)0.1秒、または0.5秒、または1.0秒、または2.0秒、または3.0秒、または4.0秒、または5.0秒から、6.0秒、または7.0秒、または8.0秒、または9.0秒、または10秒までの期間(シール時間もしくは滞留時間)の、(i)及び/または(ii)の適用。
本プロセスは、可撓性容器を形成することを含む。対向する複層フィルム16、18は、互いに重ねられ、図7に示されるように共通の外周縁40を形成する。本プロセスは、複層フィルム16、18を共通の外周縁に沿ってシールし、可撓性容器42を形成することを含む。共通の外周縁40に沿ったシールの形成は、平坦化ステップの前、その間、またはその後に発生し得る。共通の外周縁に沿ったシールの形成は、ポイントシールステップの前、その間、またはその後に発生し得る。本プロセスは、ベース12と複層フィルム16及び18との間に密封シール44を形成する。
6つの付属部、付属部1〜6を提供する。各付属部1〜6の寸法は同一であり、材料のみが付属部にわたって異なる。各付属部1〜6は、0.8mmの厚さ及び12mmのベース直径を有するベース壁を有する。
各付属部、付属部1〜6を、シール層が互いに向き合った状態で、(表1の)フィルム1の2つの対向するフィルム間に配置する。
Claims (13)
- A.エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーを含むベースを有する付属部を提供するステップと、
B.前記ベースを2つの対向する複層フィルム間に配置するステップであって、各複層フィルムが、オレフィン系ポリマーを含むそれぞれのシール層を有するステップと、
C.対向する加熱されたフラットシールバーによって、前記ベースを各複層フィルムにフラットシールするステップであって、前記フラットシールすることによって対向するシール接合部を前記ベースの平坦な端部に形成する、ステップと
D.対向する湾曲シールバーによって、前記対向するシール接合部をポイントシールして、各シール接合部のあらゆる間隙を閉鎖するステップと
を含むプロセス。 - 前記ベースを反跳させて、楕円形断面形状を形成するステップを含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ベースについて、115℃〜125℃の融解温度Tm1を有するエチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーを選択するステップと、
前記複層フィルムの前記シール層について、Tm1よりも10℃〜40℃低い融点Tm
2を有するオレフィン系ポリマーを選択するステップと
を含む、請求項1または2に記載のプロセス。 - 前記対向するフラットシールバーによって、前記ベースを前記エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーの少なくとも軟化点の温度まで加熱しながら平坦化するステップと、
前記平坦化するステップによって、コーキングを形成するステップであって、前記コーキングが、前記シール層の融解ポリオレフィン、前記ベースの融解エチレン/α−オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマー、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択される材料を含む、ステップと
を含む請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のプロセス。 - 前記フラットシールすることによって、前記対向するシール接合部を前記コーキングで充填するステップを含む、請求項4に記載のプロセス。
- 前記コーキングによって、前記複層フィルムと前記付属部との間に各対向するシール接合部でシールを形成するステップを含む、請求項4に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ポイントシールすることによって、前記対向するシール接合部内の前記コーキングを凝固させて、前記凝固したコーキングから成る原位置のウィングレットを形成するステップを含む、請求項5または6に記載のプロセス。
- 前記原位置のウィングレットによって、前記各対向するシール接合部の前記フィルムと前記付属部との間にシールを形成するステップを含む、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ベースと前記複層フィルムとの間に密封シールを形成するステップを含む、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- 前記対向する複層フィルムが互いに重ねられ、共通の外周縁を形成し、
前記プロセスは、前記複層フィルムを前記共通の外周縁に沿ってシールして、可撓性容器を形成するステップをさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のプロセス。 - 前記ポイントシールすることが、前記ベースの上部部分に接触することなく、各シール接合部に圧縮力を加えるステップを含む、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載のプロセス。
- 前記ポイントシールすることが、前記ベースの下部部分に接触することなく、各シール接合部に圧縮力を加えるステップを含む、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ポイントシールすることが、
前記シール層及び前記コーキングを各シール接合部で一緒にピンチするステップと、
各シール接合部を閉鎖するステップと
を含む、請求項6に記載のプロセス。
