Description
図1は、第1実施形態に係る複動式摩擦攪拌点接合装置1(以下、単に装置1と称する。)の要部構成図である。図1では、回転工具2を断面で示すと共に、回転工具2と工具駆動部3との繋がりを破線により模式的に示している。
図7の(a)〜(f)は、第2実施形態に係る摩擦攪拌点接合方法を説明するための断面図である。図8は、第2実施形態の摩擦攪拌点接合方法により形成された被接合物Wの継手部分の正面図である。
図9は、変形例1に係るクランプ部材18の端面18a側から見た斜視図である。クランプ部材18は、軸線P方向から見て、端面18aが円環状に形成され、突出部18bが端面18aの全周に延びる円環状に形成されている。言い換えると、軸線P方向から見て、クランプ部材18の中空部18cの周縁は、突出部18bにより囲まれている。

Claims (7)
- 回転工具により被接合物を摩擦攪拌点接合する複動式摩擦攪拌点接合装置に備えられ、前記被接合物が支持された状態で前記被接合物の表面を押圧するクランプ部材であって、
前記回転工具は、予め定められた軸線周りに回転し且つ前記軸線方向に進退可能に設けられたピン部材と、前記ピン部材の外周を囲んだ状態で前記軸線周りに回転し且つ前記ピン部材とは独立して前記軸線方向に進退可能に設けられたショルダ部材とを有し、
前記被接合物の前記表面と面接触して前記表面を押圧可能に配置された端面と、前記端面から前記軸線方向に突出して前記軸線周りに延び且つ前記被接合物を押圧可能に配置された突出部とを有し、前記ショルダ部材の外周を囲むように設けられる、複動式摩擦攪拌点接合装置用クランプ部材。 - 前記軸線方向から見て、前記端面が円環状に形成され、前記突出部が前記端面の周方向に延びる円弧状に形成されている、請求項1に記載のクランプ部材。
- 前記軸線方向から見て、前記端面が円環状に形成され、前記突出部が前記端面の全周に延びる円環状に形成されている、請求項1に記載のクランプ部材。
- 前記突出部が、前記端面の外縁よりも前記軸線側に配置されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のクランプ部材。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の前記クランプ部材を備える、複動式摩擦攪拌点接合装置。
- 被接合物を摩擦攪拌点接合するための回転工具と、前記被接合物が支持された状態で前記被接合物の表面を押圧するためのクランプ部材とを用いて前記被接合物を摩擦攪拌点接合する摩擦攪拌点接合方法であって、
前記回転工具として、予め定められた軸線周りに回転し且つ前記軸線方向に進退可能に設けられたピン部材と、前記ピン部材の外周を囲んだ状態で前記軸線周りに回転し且つ前記ピン部材とは独立して前記軸線方向に進退可能に設けられたショルダ部材とを有する回転工具を用い、
前記クランプ部材として、前記被接合物の前記表面と面接触して前記表面を押圧可能に配置された端面と、前記端面から前記軸線方向に突出して前記軸線周りに延び且つ前記被接合物を押圧可能に配置された突出部とを有し、前記ショルダ部材の外周を囲むように設けられたクランプ部材を用い、
前記クランプ部材により前記被接合物の前記表面を押圧した状態において、前記ショルダ部材による摩擦攪拌によって前記ショルダ部材の内部に入り込む前記被接合物の塑性流動部を前記ピン部材により埋め戻しながら、前記被接合物を摩擦攪拌点接合する接合ステップと、
前記接合ステップ後、前記被接合物から前記ピン部材と前記ショルダ部材とを離隔させた状態において、前記被接合物の摩擦攪拌領域、及び、前記被接合物の前記摩擦攪拌領域と隣接する隣接領域の少なくともいずれかの表面を、前記クランプ部材の前記突出部により押圧する押圧ステップと、を備える、摩擦攪拌点接合方法。 - 前記接合ステップでは、前記押圧ステップにおいて前記突出部により前記被接合物の前記表面を押圧する押圧位置とは異なる退避位置に前記突出部を位置させた状態で摩擦攪拌点接合を行い、
前記押圧ステップでは、前記退避位置から前記押圧位置へ前記突出部を移動させた状態で前記突出部により前記被接合物の前記表面を押圧する、請求項6に記載の摩擦攪拌点接合方法。
