Description

無垢木材製のギター本体(12)であって、木材が該ギター本体(12)から除去された1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)を含む、無垢木材製のギター本体(12)を備え、
前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部はハニカム材料(22)で満たされている、エレキギター(10)。 - 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)に配置され、前記ハニカム材料(22)と接触する、少なくとも1つの織物状層(24)をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のギター。
- 前記少なくとも1つの織物状層(24)は、炭素繊維のフェースシートを含む、請求項2に記載のギター。
- 前記少なくとも1つの織物状層(24)は、樹脂が含浸された繊維ガラスのフェースシートを含む、請求項2又は3に記載のギター。
- 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)は砂時計形状である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のギター。
- 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)は湾曲している、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のギター。
- 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)はL字形状である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のギター。
- 前記ギター本体(12)の上に配置されたギターキャップ(50)をさらに備える、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載のギター。
- 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)において、前記1つ又は複数の中空部の基部(18)において、少なくとも約0.318cm(約1/8インチ)の木材が残されている、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載のギター。
- 前記1つ又はそれより多くの中空部(14)において、ギター本体の側部に沿って少なくとも約0.635cm(約1/4インチ)の木質材料が残されている、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載のギター。

前記1つ又はそれより多くの開口部内に樹脂を付与することと、
前記1つ又はそれより多くの開口部内に織物状層(24)を付与することと、
前記1つ又はそれより多くの開口部内にハニカム材料(22)を付与することと、
前記木製ギター本体の少なくとも一部分の上に、ギターキャップ(50)を付与することとを含む、軽量エレキギターを製造する方法 。 - さらに、前記1つ又はそれより多くの開口部(14)とギターピックアップ配置箇所(68)との間で、1つ又はそれより多くのチャネル(64)を前記木製ギター本体において形成することと、
1つ又はそれより多くの炭素繊維導管(46)を、前記1つ又はそれより多くのチャネルに配置することとをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの織物状層(24)は、炭素繊維のフェースシートを含む、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
