Claims (3)
- 酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応させる性質を備えた選択還元型触媒をHC被毒から再生する方法であって、排気ガス中に残存するHC分の選択還元型触媒に対する蓄積量を重質分と軽質分とに分けて個別に推定し、その推定された重質分の蓄積量及び軽質分の蓄積量について夫々設定された閾値に対し何れか一方の蓄積量が到達した時に前記選択還元型触媒が再生を要するHC被毒の状態にあると判定し、その判定に基づいて排気温度を所定のHC脱離温度以上に高める昇温制御を実施することを特徴とする選択還元型触媒の再生方法。
- HC分における重質分の蓄積量及び軽質分の蓄積量を個別に推定するにあたり、エンジンの運転状態に基づき排気ガス中におけるHC分の残存量を求め、該残存量のうちに占める重質分及び軽質分の比率に基づき重質分及び軽質分の生成量を求め、これら重質分及び軽質分の生成量から排気温度に対する夫々の吸着率の特性に基づき重質分及び軽質分の吸着量を求める一方、排気温度に対する重質分及び軽質分の脱離量の脱離率の特性に基づき夫々の脱離量を求め、前記重質分及び軽質分の吸着量から夫々の脱離量を個別に減算することで単位時間当たりの重質分及び軽質分の蓄積量を求めて単位時間毎に積算することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の選択還元型触媒の再生方法。
- 昇温制御の実施後に重質分及び軽質分の蓄積量の何れもが所定の許容量以下まで低下するのを待って再生完了を判定し、その再生完了の判定に伴い昇温制御を終了することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の選択還元型触媒の再生方法。
