Claims (11)
- 光ビームを受け取るための少なくとも1つの光入力ポートおよび複数の光出力ポートを有する光ポートアレイと、
前記少なくとも1つの光入力ポートと前記光出力ポートの各々との間の光結合を可能にし、前記複数の光出力ポートのいずれか1つと前記複数の光出力ポートの他のいずれかとの間の光結合を防止するための光学配置と、
前記光学配置を横断した後、前記少なくとも1つの光入力ポートから前記光ビームを受け取り、前記光ビームを複数の波長成分に空間的に分ける分散素子と、
前記複数の波長成分を集束するための集束素子と、
集束された前記複数の波長成分を受け取るためのプログラム可能な光位相変調器であって、前記光位相変調器は、前記波長成分を前記光出力ポートの選択された1つに進めるように構成される、プログラム可能な光位相変調器と、を備える光学デバイスであって、
前記光学配置は、光ポートアレイ内のポートのいずれかから受け取られる前記光ビームを第1および第2の偏光状態にそれぞれ調整される第1および第2の光成分に空間的に分けるための少なくとも1つのウォークオフ結晶と、前記第1の光成分を前記第2の偏光状態に調整するための第1の複合半波長板と、前記第1の偏光状態の光エネルギーは伝送しないが前記第2の偏光状態の光エネルギーを伝送するための偏光子と、ファラデー回転子および第2の複合半波長板であって、前記偏光子を介して前記光入力ポートから受け取られる前記空間的に分けられた光ビームを回転させて前記第1の偏光状態とし、前記複数の光出力ポートから受け取られる前記空間的に分けられた光ビームを回転させて第2の直交偏光状態とするファラデー回転子および第2の複合半波長板とを含む、ことを特徴とする光学デバイス。 - 前記光学配置は、前記光学配置を横断する光エネルギーの異なる偏光状態を区別することによって、選択されたポート間の光結合を選択的に可能にし、かつ防止するように構成される、請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記光学配置は、光ポートアレイ内のポートのいずれかから受け取られる前記光ビームを第1および第2の偏光状態にそれぞれ調整される第1および第2の光成分に空間的に分けるための少なくとも1つのウォークオフ結晶と、前記第1の光成分を前記第2の偏光状態に調整するための第1の複合半波長板と、ファラデー回転子および第2の複合半波長板であって、前記第1の複合半波長板を介して前記光入力ポートから受け取られる前記空間的に分けられた光ビームを回転させて前記第1の偏光状態とし、前記複数の光出力ポートから受け取られる前記空間的に分けられた光ビームを回転させて第2の直交偏光状態とするファラデー回転子および第2の複合半波長板とを含む、請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記光学配置はさらに、任意の偏光状態の前記光ビームを受け取り、前記光ビームを所定の偏光状態で前記分散素子に提供するように構成される、請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記プログラム可能な光位相変調器は、液晶ベースの位相変調器を含む、請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記液晶ベースの位相変調器は、LCoSデバイスである、請求項5に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記分散素子は、回折格子およびプリズムから成る群から選択される、請求項5に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記光ポートアレイから受け取られる前記光ビームを拡大し、前記拡大された光ビームを前記分散素子へ向けるための光学系をさらに備える、請求項5に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記光学系は、第1の方向に第1の拡大係数および前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向に第2の拡大係数を有し、前記第1の拡大係数は、前記第2の拡大係数と異なる、請求項8に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記第1の方向は、波長分散軸に平行であり、前記光ビームが、前記波長分散軸に沿って空間的に分けられ、前記第1の拡大係数は、前記第2の拡大係数よりも小さい、請求項9に記載の光学デバイス。
- 前記光学配置は、前記光入力ポートおよび前記光出力ポートの任意の対と前記プログラム可能な光位相変調器との間で光ビームが横断する光学経路間に配置されるファラデー回転子を含む、請求項5に記載の光学デバイス。
