Description
(1-1) 木材やチップのシーズニング(乾燥することで木材中の樹脂分トリグリセリドを減少させること)
(1-2) スクリーンで機械的に除去する方法
(1-3) タルク、クレーその他の多孔性無機物を原料パルプに添加し、多孔性無機物に懸濁微粒子を吸着させてピッチの粘着性と付着性を低下させ、紙に抄き込む方法
しかし、上記(1-1)の方法では、長期間でその効果が発揮されるため、広い敷地を必要とすることや、生産量の増加によって、原材やチップの確保および保管が難しくなってきている。上記(1-2)の方法は、どの工場にもあり必要な工程であるが、すべてのピッチを除去することは難しい。上記(1-3)の方法は、粘着性を減少させる目的としては効果があるが、ピッチに対する歩留まりが悪く、紙に抄き込まれなかったタルクがフェルトに堆積し濾水性不良になる懸念がある。
(2-1) ピッチ可溶性有機溶剤、または界面活性剤を工程用洗浄剤として添加しピッチを溶解、分散、除去する方法
(2-2) ピッチが付着しやすい箇所に直接水溶性ポリマーや界面活性剤を噴霧し、紙製造装置表面におけるピッチ付着や堆積を抑制する方法(特許文献1等参照)
しかし、上記(2-1)、(2-2)のような外添型は、装置表面に薬剤を直接塗布するため効果が高いが、ピッチ付着箇所が後工程に移行することが多い。
(3-1) パルプスラリーに特定の界面活性剤や分散剤を添加し、凝集または粗大化したピッチを可溶化分散させる方法(特許文献2等参照)
(3-2) パルプスラリーに水溶性のアニオン性ポリマーを添加することでピッチ粒子の分散を促進し、付着を抑制する方法(特許文献3、4等参照)
(3-3) パルプスラリーに水溶性のカチオン性ポリマーを添加することで分散状態のピッチ粒子を均一にパルプ繊維に定着させ、ピッチの凝集、粗大化を抑制したまま紙中に抄き込む方法(特許文献5等参照)
上記(3-1)、(3-2)の界面活性剤や分散剤または水溶性のアニオン性ポリマーによってピッチを分散させ、その凝集、粗大化を抑制する方法は、簡便で有効な方法ではあるが、系内のピッチ量の減少を伴うものではないため、何らかの原因で一旦、ピッチが凝集、粗大化すると、紙製品へのピッチ付着につながる虞がある。
(A)抄紙工程前におけるパルプスラリーに、分子量1000未満のアニオン性キレート剤(a)を添加、混合する工程;および
(B)工程(A)の後、前記パルプスラリーに、ポリアミノアミド系およびポリアリルアミン系から選ばれる少なくとも1種のカチオン性ポリマー(b)を添加、混合する工程。
a剤とb剤とのコンプレックス性について、次の方法により評価を行った。a剤、b剤の1%水溶液を等量混合した時の溶液の状態を目視にて確認し、薬剤同士の相溶性を以下の基準により判定した。
判定基準
○:均一に溶解していて、濁りがない。
△:濁りがある。
×:粘着物の発生がある。
(2-1)試験1
雑誌古紙、新聞古紙を使用して中質紙を抄造している製紙工場で、次の実機試験を行った。この製紙工場では、パルプスラリーを調製するに際して、原料チェストから送られたパルプスラリーをミキシングチェストにおいて均一に攪拌、混合し、マシンチェストにおいて最終のパルプスラリーを保留し、ワイヤーパート、プレスパート、ドライパートを有する抄紙工程に種箱よりパルプスラリーを供給している。パルプスラリーを調製する工程ではチェストまたは白水回収ボックスなどの壁面にピッチが付着し、また時折このピッチが剥離して抄紙機に持ち込まれたり、抄紙機のワイヤーやフェルトなどにピッチが多く付着して断紙が起きたり、製品に小さな斑点が多く生じることがあり、ピッチ障害が恒常的に発生していた。また、常時、製品中の斑点の個数の測定を行い、数が一定レベル以下になるように装置の洗浄を行っていた。
判定基準
○:ピッチの付着が殆ど認められない。
△:ピッチの付着がある。
×:ピッチの付着が多い。
試験1においてa剤、b剤をパルプスラリーに添加、混合した後、このパルプスラリーを抄紙工程に供給し、紙製品を製造した。
判定基準
○:10以下
△:11〜20
×:21以上
Claims (3)
- パルプまたは紙の製造工程におけるピッチ障害を抑制するためのピッチコントロール方法であって、以下の工程(A)、(B)を含むピッチコントロール方法:
(A)抄紙工程前におけるパルプスラリーに、分子量1000未満のアニオン性キレート剤(a)を添加、混合する工程;および
(B)工程(A)の後、前記パルプスラリーに、ポリアミノアミド系およびポリアリルアミン系から選ばれる少なくとも1種のカチオン性ポリマー(b)を添加、混合する工程。 - アニオン性キレート剤(a)は、有機ホスホン酸またはその塩およびヒドロキシカルボン酸またはその塩から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載のピッチコントロール方法。
- アニオン性キレート剤(a)およびカチオン性ポリマー(b)の添加量の比率が、質量比(a/b)で0.2〜10である、請求項1または2に記載のピッチコントロール方法。
