本出願は、2017年4月14日に出願された、「電気外科手術用シーラー及び分割器(ELECTROSURGICAL SEALER AND DIVIDER)」と題された米国特許出願第15/487,856号に対して優先権を主張する。この米国特許出願は、2016年4月15日に出願され、「電気外科手術用シーラー及び分割器(ELECTROSURGICAL SEALER AND DIVIDER)」と題された米国仮特許出願第62/323,030号に対して優先権を主張する。ここに挙げた特許出願の開示全体は、すべての適切な目的のために参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
非導電性コーティングは、オーバーモールド、プラズマ溶射コーティング、デトネーション溶射コーティング、ワイヤアーク溶射コーティング、溶射コーティング、フレーム溶射コーティング、高速酸素燃料溶射コーティング、高速空気燃料コーティング、ウォームスプレーコーティング又はコールドスプレーコーティングのうちの少なくとも1つによって少なくとも1つの顎部のコア部材上に形成される、実施形態28の器具。
Claims (16)
- 可動組織切断機構と、
可動組織切断機構の少なくとも近位部分を収容するシャフトと、
第1の顎部及び第2の顎部を有する一対の対向する顎部であって、前記一対の対向する顎部は、その間に挟持された組織を締め付けて封止する閉位置と開位置との間を移動するように成形され構成される、一対の対向する顎部とを具備する、電気外科手術用器具であって、
前記一対の対向する顎部のそれぞれは、導電性コア部材と、前記可動組織切断機構を受け入れるための細長いスロットと、封止面領域を有する封止面とを含み、
第1の顎部は第1の対の非導電性ブッシングを有し、第2の顎部は第2の対の非導電性ブッシングを有しており、前記顎部それぞれの前記導電性コア部材は非導電性ブッシングを受け入れるようにさらに成形され、
前記シャフトに連結されたピンと、前記顎部の遠位の一対の非導電性ブッシングとを具備し、前記ピンは前記遠位の一対の非導電性ブッシングと前記可動組織切断機構とを通過し、前記一対の対向する顎部のそれぞれは前記シャフトに対して回転可能であり、かつ、前記可動組織切断機構は前記シャフトに対して摺動可能であり、
前記導電性コア部材に動作可能に結合された導電性媒体を具備し、
前記第1の顎部の一対の非導電性ブッシングのうちの近位の非導電性ブッシングに回転可能に連結された遠位端と、ロッドに回転可能に連結された近位端と、を有する、第1のリンクを具備し、前記ロッドは前記シャフトの内部において前記シャフトに対して移動可能であり、
前記顎部はそれぞれ、前記導電性コア部材の大部分を覆うとともに前記封止面を露出させるコーティングであって、実質的に非導電性の材料で作られたコーティングをさらに備えており、前記非導電性ブッシングと前記コーティングは前記導電性コア部材を実質的に隔離し、前記導電性媒体から前記封止面までのエネルギー経路を制限する、電気外科手術用器具。 - 前記第1の対の非導電性ブッシング及び前記第2の対の非導電性ブッシングの各ブッシングは、セラミックを含む、請求項1に記載の器具。
- 各顎部の前記封止面領域は、それぞれの前記細長いスロットの周辺から外側に0.8ミリメートル以下の距離だけ延びている、請求項1または2に記載の器具。
- 前記封止面領域は、前記細長いスロットの周辺から外側に0.2ミリメートルから0.7ミリメートルの間の距離だけ延びる、請求項3に記載の器具。
- 一対の対向する顎部の各コア部材は、実質的に非導電性の材料を有するコーティングで部分的に被覆されており、かつ、
各コア部材の一部分が露出して、それぞれの各顎部の前記封止面が形成される、請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の器具。 - 前記一対の対向する顎部は、前記閉位置にあるときに該一対の顎部間の間隙を有するように構成されており、かつ、
前記間隙は0.05ミリメートル〜0.18ミリメートルである、請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項に記載の器具。 - 前記間隙は0.05ミリメートル〜0.07ミリメートルである、請求項6に記載の器具。
- 前記器具はさらに、前記顎部の間に挟持された組織に最大50ワットの電力及び最大3アンペアの電流を供給するように構成されている、請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 前記一対の顎部は、該顎部が前記閉位置にあるときに、6ミリメートル以下の内径を有するカニューレを通って嵌合するようにさらに成形されており、
前記細長いスロットは非直線形状を含む、請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載の器具。 - 前記非導電性ブッシングは、前記顎部の導電性コア部材から前記第1のリンク及び前記ピンを絶縁する、請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 前記間隙の近位部分は、前記間隙の遠位部分よりも大きい、請求項6または7に記載の器具。
- 前記間隙を維持するための1つ以上の移動停止部をさらに含み、前記1つ以上の移動停止部が前記封止面領域に隣接する、請求項6または7に記載の器具。
- 前記間隙を維持するための1つ以上の移動停止部をさらに含み、前記1つ以上の移動停止部は、オーバーモールドまたはスプレーコーティングを備える、請求項6または7に記載の器具。
- 前記第1及び第2の対のブッシングの各ブッシングは、前記導電性コア部材から前記第1のリンク及び前記ピンを絶縁するように構成される、請求項1ないし13のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 前記第1の対の非導電性ブッシング及び前記第2の対の非導電性ブッシングのうちの少なくとも1つのブッシングは、非圧縮性材料または低圧縮性材料の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1ないし14のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
- 前記可動組織切断機構は、該可動組織切断機構を貫通する細長い開口をさらに備え、かつ、前記ピンは、前記可動組織切断機構の前記細長い開口をさらに通過する、請求項1ないし15のいずれか1項に記載の器具。
