Claims (10)

前記第1隙間(100)の反対側の側面で前記陰イオン選択膜(18)を覆う第1浸透性インサート(19)であって、前記第1浸透性インサート(19)を通って前記陰イオン選択膜(18)まで塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容する連続気泡型発泡ポリマーで構成される、前記第1浸透性インサート(19)と、
前記陰イオン選択膜(18)に面する前記側面の反対側の側面で前記第1浸透性インサート(19)に配置された第1結合プレート(38)であって、前記第1結合プレート(38)は、前記入口(26)から前記第1隙間(100)までの淡水の案内中、前記浸透性インサート(19)および第1陰イオン選択膜(18)を支持する間、前記第1結合プレート(38)および第1浸透性インサート(19)を通る前記陰イオン選択膜(18)までの前記塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容する開口で形成される、前記第1結合プレート(38)と、
前記第2隙間(100)の反対側の側面で前記陽イオン選択膜(18)を覆う第2浸透性インサート(19)であって、前記第2浸透性インサート(19)を通って前記陽イオン選択膜(18)まで塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容する連続気泡型発泡ポリマーで構成される、前記第2浸透性インサート(19)と、
前記陽イオン選択膜(18)に面する前記側面の反対側の側面で前記第2浸透性インサート(19)に配置された第2結合プレート(38)であって、前記第2結合プレート(38)は、前記入口(26)から前記第1隙間(100)までの淡水の案内中、前記第2浸透性インサート(19)および陽イオン選択膜(18)を支持する間、前記第2結合プレート(38)および第2浸透性インサート(19)を通る前記陽イオン選択膜(18)までの前記塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容する開口で形成される、前記第2結合プレート(38)と、
を備える、電気分解システム。 - 各電解カートリッジは、前記電極(16)および前記陰イオン選択膜または陽イオン選択膜(18)の各々の間に配置されるガスケット(17)を備える、請求項1に記載の電気分解システム。
- 各ガスケット(17)は、弾性材で構成され、任意でシリコーンである、請求項2に記載の電気分解システム。
- 各ガスケット(17)は、接着材で少なくとも部分的に被覆された側面を備え、任意で、
(i)表面を湿った物品に接着できる接着材、または、
(ii)アクリル系接着材、
である、請求項2に記載の電気分解システム。 - 前記連続気泡型発泡ポリマーは、ポリウレタンを含む、請求項1に記載の電気分解システム。
- 前記連続気泡型発泡ポリマーは、塩水に起因する劣化から前記連続気泡型発泡ポリマーを保護する為に被覆物質で被覆され、前記被覆物質は、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、後塩素化ポリ塩化ビニル(CPVC)、ポリビニルジエンフルオライド(PVDF)、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)、エチルメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)、それらの組合せを含む、請求項5に記載の電気分解システム。
- 各電極(16)は、タンタルの酸化物とルテニウムの酸化物とイリジウムの酸化物を含む物質で被覆されたチタンから構成される、請求項1に記載の電気分解システム。
- 前記第1隙間および第2隙間の各々は、淡水を少なくとも2psiの圧力で少なくとも10分間、漏らすことなく含めることができる、請求項1に記載の電気分解システム。
- 前記第1側面の反対側にある前記第1電解カートリッジの第2側面に隣接して配列された第3電解カートリッジ(14)を含み、前記第3電解カートリッジ(14)は、第3電極(16)、第3透過性インサート(19)、第3結合プレート(38)を備え、前記第3電極(16)は電気供給部に接続され、前記電気供給部は、前記第3電極(16)を負に帯電させ、前記第3電解カートリッジ(14)は、第2陽イオン選択膜(18)を更に備え、前記第2陽イオン選択膜(18)は、前記第3電極(16)の少なくとも一部分に隣接した第3隙間(100)を画成するように前記第3電極(16)に関して支持され、前記第3隙間は、前記塩水溶液の陽イオンだけが前記第2陽イオン選択膜(18)を通り抜けるように前記塩水溶液(112)から密封され、
前記第3隙間(100)は、前記第3隙間(100)の入口(26)で淡水供給部と連通し、アルカリ電解水を出す為の配管に接続された前記第3隙間の出口(28)と連通し、
前記第3透過性インサート(19)は、連続気泡型発泡ポリマーで作成された第2陽イオン選択膜(18)を被覆し、前記連続気泡型発泡ポリマーは、前記第2透過性インサート(19)を通って前記陽イオン選択膜(18)への前記塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容し、前記第3結合プレート(38)は、前記第2陽イオン選択膜(18)の反対側の側面上の前記第3透過性インサート(19)に配置され、前記第3結合プレート(38)は、前記第3隙間(100)の前記入口(26)から前記第3隙間(100)までの淡水の案内中、前記第3透過性インサート(19)及び第2陽イオン選択膜(18)を支持する間、前記第2陽イオン選択膜(18)へと前記第3結合プレート(38)及び第3透過性インサート(19)を通って塩水溶液(112)の通過を許容する開口で形成される、請求項1に記載の電気分解システム。 - 請求項9に記載の前記電気分解システムによって、陽イオンおよび陰イオンを含む塩水溶液から酸性電解水およびアルカリ電解水を生成する方法であって、
前記第1電極、第2電極、第3電極が帯電されている間、前記第1隙間、第2隙間、第3隙間を通して淡水を流し、それぞれの各隙間から流れる第1生成物、第2生成物、第3生成物を生み出すステップと、
少なくとも前記第1電極および第2電極が帯電されている間、前記第1隙間を通る前記第3生成物の少なくとも一部分を流し、前記第1生成物のpHを調整するステップと、
を含む方法。
