Description
式中、n、a、及びbは正数である。nが0と1との間であるとき、超オーバル形は国際特許出願第2011/068714号の図2に示すように凹の縁部(スカラップなしで)を有する4本腕の星のように見える。nが1であるとき、菱形a=b、又は凧形a≠bが形成される。nが1と2の間であるとき、縁部は凸状になる。
特定の形状を有する、研磨粒子を生成するために利用された3つの基本的な技術は、(1)溶融、(2)焼結、及び(3)化学セラミックである。本発明において使用するために、成形研磨粒子を提供するために、これらの基本的技術のいずれか1つ、又はこれらの技術の2つ若しくは全部のいずれかの組み合わせが使用され得る。

本発明において使用される用語、歯車研削とは一般的に、歯車の創成研削、及び歯車のプロファイル研削の方法を指す。歯車は、ギアボックスの速度伝達比を決定する。歯車の第2基本原理により、この比率は前の歯が係合離脱する前に次の歯が既に係合している場合においてのみ一定である。歯面の表面がより完全に研削されると、より適合した形態となり、ギアボックスはより滑らかかつ静かに運転する。歯面を機械加工するプロセスは、寸法の正確性及び形状の正確性においてより高い要求をもたらし、また構成要素の縁部領域の特性に特に高い要求をもたらす。マクロ及びマイクロ幾何(これは、歯により生じる雑音の量及び種類に影響する)は、品質要件によって厳しい制限内の許容誤差を有し、「ゼロ許容誤差」ポリシーが、歯面の縁部領域に適用される。構造体に対する影響の結果としての、縁部領域への損傷は、歯のより早い摩耗に寄与し、極端な場合において、歯を破損及び破壊する。これらの要件と関連して、異なる技術が有用であり得、これらは全て、本発明の範囲内に含まれる。
−研削ウォームを使用した、連続的な創成研削技術による歯車研削:結合研磨物品(典型的には研削砥石車)が研削ウォームに対応する形状を有し、その基本的な歯のプロファイルは常にラックプロファイルをしている。研削ウォーム、及び歯車装置の連続的な創成研削を通じ、インボリュート形態が生じる。このプロセスは、歯車の連続生産に非常に役に立つ。
−鼓形研削ウォームによる歯車研削(連続的なプロファイル研削):連続的な創成研削技術とは異なり、この場合における結合研磨物品の形状は、基本的な歯のプロファイルとして、ラックプロファイルを備える研削ウォームに対応しない。代わりに、鼓形研削ウォームは、歯面の輪郭を位置付ける。研削プロセス中の歯の形状は、歯の空隙への工具の実質的に線形の係合を通じて生成される。この方法は、差動歯車において主に使用される研削かさ歯車に関して予め決定され、任意により、以降のホーニング工程と組み合わされてもよい。
−単一フランク創成研削:インボリュート形状は、創成研削プロセスにおいて生じ、プロセス中研削砥石車は、歯の空隙あたり、研削の方向において単一のフランクのみを機械加工する。この方法は、不変の砥石車の幅で、異なるモジュールの機械加工を可能にし、かつ左巻き、又は右巻き歯面に関して異なる切り込みを可能にする。
−放射状を備える形態、又はプロファイル研削:インボリュート形態は、結合研磨物品(最も典型的には研削砥石車)に転写され、これは、加工物品の歯の空隙に形状を生じる。
−回転切り込みを備える形態、又はプロファイル研削:インボリュート形態は、結合研磨物品(典型的には研削砥石車)に転写され、これはその後、加工物品の歯の空隙に形状を生じる。
表面研削又は面研削技術は典型的には、周辺長手方向表面研削(大きい表面の表面研削、面研削)、及び周辺横方向表面研削(フルート状研削、プロファイル研削)に分割される。
円筒研削は、一般的に、以下の4つの特徴の1つ以上、好ましくは全部を有することにより特徴付けられる研削技術である。
(1)加工物品が一定速度で回転する、(2)研削砥石車が一定速度で回転する、(3)研削砥石車が加工物品に対し向かって、及び離れるように送達される、(4)加工物品又は研削砥石車の一方が他方に対して横断する。
−外径(OD)研削は、自動車産業など(これはカムシャフト及びクランクシャフトの研削に使用される)最も頻繁に使用される研削技術の1つである。工業的開発の過程で、及び結果として生じる要件に対応して、外径研削は、加工物品が搭載される方法により、かつ主要送達方向により異なる技術の異なる類型へと分類された。
○中心間の周辺横方向外径(OD)研削(プランジ研削としても既知)
○心なし周辺横方向外径(OD)研削
○中心間の周辺長手方向外径(OD)研削(プランジ研削としても既知)
○心なし周辺長手方向外径(OD)研削
−心なし研削:柔軟又は脆性の材料で作製された、長く及び/又は薄い、丸い構成要素を大量に機械加工することが課題である場合、心なし研削が解決法であり得る。加えて、心なし研削は、単一のパスで行われる、マルチタスク(例えば、粗削り、及び仕上げ)を可能にする技術である。機械加工プロセス自体は、「外径研削」に関して先に記載したものと同様の他の円筒研削技術と対応する(中心がなくても、プロセスは依然として、プランジ研削及びスルーフィード技術を含む。)
−内径(ID)研削は、軸又はシャフトと非確動的接続を形成するために必要な構成要素において完全な機能面をもたらす。外径(OD)研削と同様に、この方法は、研削方向による2つの異なる技術へと分類される。
○周辺横方向内径(ID)研削(プランジ研削)
○周辺長手方向内径(ID)研削
成形研磨粒子の寸法(例えば、長さ、幅、及び厚さ)は例えば、当該技術分野において既知の方法を使用して、例えば、定規、バーニャキャリパー、マイクロメータ、又は顕微鏡測定技術などの従来の測定ツールの使用により、及び典型的には好適な数の測定の平均の計算により、測定され得る。
A.研磨研削ツールの製造プロセス
表1に記載される組成、種類、寸法(砥石車径×厚さ×気孔径)、形状、及び結合剤を有するビトリファイド結合研磨研削砥石車が、以下のように調製された。
同じ結合剤及び砥石車寸法(350×12×160mm(砥石車径×厚さ×気孔径))、及びT1形状(DIN:ISO 603:1999による)を有するビトリファイド結合研磨研削砥石車、即ち平形研削砥石車が、以下の製造プロセスによって調製された。
これらの実施例に関して特定される研磨粒子/粒子混合物が混合凝集体内に配置され、混合中に液体状一時的結合剤がこれに加えられた。約3〜5分にわたり撹拌した後、ビトリファイド結合前駆体混合物、及び固体状一時的結合剤からなる混合物が加えられ、混合は約10分間にわたり十分に行われた。
所与の実施例に関して、工程(i)で得られる混合物は、16メッシュ(メッシュ寸法1.18mm)のふるいで、ふるいがけされた。
工程(ii)で得られる混合物は、成形型に配置され、加圧することで未焼成体がもたらされる。100%80+を含む研磨混合物を有する未焼成体のための典型的な形成圧力は126〜150kg/cm2(12.4〜15MPa)であり、30% 80、60+、又はT形研磨粒子を含有する研磨混合物を有する未焼成体においては21〜51kg/cm2(2.1〜5.0MPa)である。
所与の実施例に関し、得られた未焼成体は130℃の温度で乾燥され、930℃の温度で焼結される。
仕上げ操作は、孔、横方向表面、及び周辺表面の研削を含む。

**ここで、及び以下において、砥石車タイプ(又は研磨物品又はツールタイプ)は、試験研磨ツールの硬度/構造に関し、研磨ツール(例えば、砥石車又はセグメント)内の結合剤及び多孔率の割合に基づき、タイプI(より低い体積率の結合剤及び研磨粒子、及びより高い体積%の多孔率)からタイプII(より高い割合の結合剤及び研磨粒子、及びより低い体積%の多孔率)の種類に分類され、体積%の高い結合剤ほど、より数字の大きいタイプ(higher type)に、かつ、より剛性又は硬質の研磨ツールに対応する。
実施例Iと同様に調製された研削砥石車について、砥石車の研削性能を確認するために、ねじ研削用途における試験を行った。
Claims (3)
- 結合研磨物品の作製に使用するためのビトリファイド結合研磨物品であって、前記ビトリファイド結合研磨物品は、成形研磨粒子と、ガラス質結合剤を含む結合媒体と、を含み、前記成形研磨粒子は、それぞれ、厚さtで分離された第1の側部及び第2の側部を含み、前記第1の側部は、第1の幾何形状の外周部を有する第1の面を含み、前記厚さtは、前記粒子の最も短い辺の長さと等しい、又はこれより短く、結合研磨物品の調製のために、前記ビトリファイド結合研磨物品は、少なくともその表面の一部上で、少なくとも1つの表面特徴部を含む表面プロファイルを呈し、前記成形研磨粒子は、前記表面特徴部と比較して、ほぼ同程度又はより大きい最大寸法を有し、
前記表面プロファイルが、意図する研削動作の方向に沿って実質的に同一であるパターンを有し、
前記表面特徴部が、加工物品に当該表面特徴部と相補的な形状を与えるための前記表面プロファイルの部分である、ビトリファイド結合研磨物品。 - 成形研磨粒子と、ガラス質結合剤を含む結合媒体と、を含む結合研磨物品であって、前記成形研磨粒子は、それぞれ、厚さtで分離された第1の側部及び第2の側部を含み、前記第1の側部は、第1の幾何形状の外周部を有する第1の面を含み、前記厚さtは、前記粒子の最も短い辺の長さと等しい、又はこれより短く、前記結合研磨物品は、少なくともその表面の一部上で、少なくとも1つの表面特徴部を含む表面プロファイルを呈し、前記成形研磨粒子は、前記表面特徴部と比較して、ほぼ同程度又はより大きい最大寸法を有し、
前記表面プロファイルが、意図する研削動作の方向に沿って実質的に同一であるパターンを有し、
