Description
前記塗膜は、ポリオール組成物とポリイソシアネート組成物とを含有する塗料から形成されることが好ましい。前記塗料としては、ポリオールを主剤とし、ポリイソシアネートを硬化剤とするいわゆる二液硬化型ウレタン塗料を例示することができる。
前記ポリオール組成物は、ポリオール化合物を含有する。前記ポリオール化合物としては、分子中に水酸基を2つ以上有する化合物が挙げられる。前記ポリオール化合物としては、分子の末端に水酸基を有する化合物、分子の末端以外に水酸基を有する化合物が挙げられる。前記ポリオール化合物は、単独で、あるいは、2種以上を混合して使用しても良い。
次に、ポリイソシアネート組成物について説明する。前記ポリイソシアネート組成物は、ポリイソシアネート化合物を含有する。前記ポリイソシアネート化合物としては、例えば、イソシアネート基を2つ以上有する化合物が挙げられる。
M(t)=Ft(t)/Fn(t)
(1)スラブ硬度(ショアD硬度)
樹脂組成物を用いて、射出成形により、厚み約2mmのシートを作製し、23℃で2週間保存した。このシートを、測定基板などの影響が出ないように3枚以上重ねた状態で、自動硬度計(H.バーレイス社製、デジテストII)を用いて硬度を測定した。検出器は、「Shore D」を用いた。
カバー用組成物を用いて、射出成形により、厚み約2mmのシートを作製し、23℃で2週間保存した。ISO 527−1に準じて、このシートからダンベル型試験片(標線間距離:73mm、平行部の幅:5.0mm)を作製し、島津製作所製引張試験測定装置(引張速度:100mm/分、測定温度:23℃)を用いてカバーの物性を測定し、10%モジュラス(10%ひずみ時の引張応力)を算出した。
塗膜の引張特性は、JIS K7161(2014)に準じて測定した。具体的には、主剤および硬化剤を配合した塗料を40℃で4時間乾燥及び硬化をさせて塗膜(厚さ0.05mm)を作製した。この塗膜を、JIS K7127(1999)で規定された試験片タイプ2(平行部の幅10mm、標線間距離50mm)に打ち抜いて試験片を作製した。この試験片について、精密万能試験機(島津製作所製、オートグラフ(登録商標))を用いて引張試験を行った。試験条件は、つかみ具間距離100mm、引張速度50mm/min、試験温度23℃とした。
図2に示す接触力試験機を用いて、ゴルフボールの摩擦係数を測定した。

パルスカウンタボードPCI−6101(株式会社インターフェイス社製)を用いた。16ビット4チャンネルを持つPCIパルスカウンタボードで、4種類のカウンタモードで用途に合った計測が実現できる。最大入力周波数は1MHz。

ジップグルーブ間の複数の小さな溝は、ジップグルーブ間の表面部分が、表面粗さRa=2.40±0.8μm、Rmax=14.0±8μmになるように、レーザーミーリングにより形成されている。なお、表面粗さRa、Rmaxは、ミツトヨ製SJ−301を用いて、測定長さ=2.5mm、カットオフ値=2.5mmの測定条件で測定する。
摩擦係数の測定は次の方法で行った。なお、測定温度は23℃、ボール初速度は19m/sとした。測定は、各ゴルフボールについて12回ずつ行って、その平均値をそのゴルフボールの測定値とした。なお、ドライ条件は、衝突板とゴルフボールが乾いた状態で試験を行い、ウェット条件は、衝突板とゴルフボールを水で濡らした状態で試験を行った。
(a)衝突板の角度(α)をゴルフボールの飛行方向(垂直方向)に対して、35度に設定した。
(b)発射装置5のエア圧を調整する。
(c)発射装置からゴルフボールを19m/sの速度で発射する。
(d)予め設定したセンサS1とセンサS2の距離とこの間のゴルフボールの遮蔽時間差からゴルフボール初速度を測定する。
(e)接触力Fn(t)、接触力Ft(t)を測定し、Ft(t)/Fn(t)の最大値を算出する。
(f)ストロボ装置およびカメラ装置でゴルフボールのスピン量を測定する。
前記試験装置、測定手順で測定された結果の一例を図6に示す。図6からM(t)の値は、Ft(t)/Fn(t)として算出され、その最大値は0.58となる。なおFt、Fnは接触力の立ち上がる初期と終期においてノイズが発生しやすいので、初期の前段階、終期の後段階をトリムしてM(t)の最大値を算出する。
ゴルフラボラトリー社製スイングロボットに、サンドウエッジ(クリーブランドゴルフ社製CG15フォージドウエッジ(52°))を取り付け、ヘッドスピード21m/秒でゴルフボールを打撃し、打撃されたゴルフボールを連続写真撮影することによってスピン量(rpm)を測定した。測定は、各ゴルフボールについて10回ずつ行い、その平均値をスピン量とした。ドライスピン量(Sd)は、クラブフェースとゴルフボールが乾いた状態で試験を行ったときのスピン量であり、ウェットスピン量(Sw)は、クラブフェースとゴルフボールを水で濡らした状態で試験を行ったときのスピン量である。
アマチュアゴルファー(上級者)10人により、サンドウエッジ(クリーブランドゴルフ社製CG15フォージドウエッジ(52°))を用いた実打テストを行った。フィーリング良好(フェースに乗っている感じがして良い、ひっかかる感じがして良い、スピンがきく感じがして良い、くっつく感じがして良い等)と答えた人数に基づいて、以下のように評価した。

ゴルフボールを、ヨードチンキ(ヨウ素を6質量%、ヨウ化カリウムを4質量%含有するエタノール溶液)を40倍に希釈したヨードチンキ水に30秒間浸漬して、取り出した。ゴルフボール表面に付着している余分なヨードチンキ水を拭きとった後、色差計(コニカミノルタ社製CM3500D)を用いて、浸漬前後のゴルフボールの色調(L,a,b)を測定し、色差(ΔE)を次式にて算出した。なお、色差(ΔE)の値が大きいほど、変色の度合いが大きいことを意味する。

表1に示す配合のセンター用ゴム組成物を混練し、半球状キャビティを有する上下金型内で170℃、20分間加熱プレスすることにより直径39.8mmの球状センターを得た。

表2、表3に示した配合の材料を、二軸混練型押出機によりミキシングして、ペレット状の中間層用組成物およびカバー用組成物を調製した。押出条件は、スクリュー径45mm、スクリュー回転数200rpm、スクリューL/D=35であり、配合物は、押出機のダイの位置で200〜260℃に加熱された。

上記で得た中間層用組成物を、前述のようにして得たセンター上に直接射出成形することにより、前記センターを被覆する中間層(厚さ:1.0mm)を形成して、球状コアを作製した。成形用上下型は、半球状キャビティと、球状コアを支持する進退可能なホールドピンとを有している。中間層成形時には、上記ホールドピンを突き出し、センターを投入後ホールドさせ、80トンの圧力で型締めした金型に260℃に加熱した中間層用組成物を0.3秒で注入し、30秒間冷却して型開きして球状コアを取り出した。
ハーフシェルの圧縮成形は、得られたペレット状のカバー用組成物をハーフシェル成形用金型の下型の凹部ごとに1つずつ投入し、加圧してハーフシェルを成形した。圧縮成形は、成形温度170℃、成形時間5分、成形圧力2.94MPaの条件で行った。
上記で得た球状コアを2枚のハーフシェルで同心円状に被覆して、圧縮成形によりカバー(厚さ:0.5mm)を成形した。圧縮成形は、成形温度145℃、成形時間2分、成形圧力9.8MPaの条件で行った。
6−1.ポリオール組成物No.1(ウレタンポリオール)
第一ポリオール成分として、ポリテトラメチレンエーテルグリコール(PTMG、数平均分子量650)、トリメチロールプロパン(TMP)を溶剤(トルエン、メチルエチルケトン)に溶解した。なお、モル比(PTMG:TMP)は1.8:1.0とした。ここに、触媒としてジブチル錫ジラウレートを主剤全体に対して0.1質量%となるように添加した。このポリオール溶液を80℃に保持しながら第一ポリイソシアネート成分としてのイソホロンジイソシアネート(IPDI)を滴下混合した。なお、ポリイソシアネート成分のNCO基とポリオール成分のOH基のモル比(NCO/OH)は0.6とした。滴下後は、イソシアネートがなくなるまで攪拌を続け、その後常温で冷却し、ウレタンポリオール(固形分:30質量%)を調製した。得られたポリオール組成物No.1のPTMG含有率は67質量%、固形分の水酸基価は67.4mgKOH/g、ウレタンポリオールの重量平均分子量は4867であった。
ポリロタキサン(アドバンスト・ソフトマテリアル社製、「セルム(登録商標)スーパーポリマー SH3400P(シクロデキストリンの水酸基の少なくとも一部が、−O−C3H6−O−基を介して、カプロラクトン鎖によって変性されたポリロタキサン、直鎖状分子:ポリエチレングリコール、封鎖基:アダマンチル基、直鎖状分子の分子量:35,000、水酸基価:72mgKOH/g、全体分子量:重量平均分子量700,000)」)50質量部、ポリカプロラクトンポリオール(ダイセル社製、「Placcel(登録商標) 308」、水酸基価:190〜200mgKOH/g)28質量部、塩化ビニル・酢酸ビニル・ビニルアルコール共重合体(日信化学工業社製、「ソルバイン(登録商標)AL」、水酸基価:63.4mgKOH/g)22質量部、変性シリコーン(Gelest社製、DBL−C31)0.1質量部、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.01質量部、溶剤(キシレン/メチルエチルケトン=70/30(質量比)の混合溶剤)100質量部を混合し、ポリオール組成物No.2を調製した。
7−1.ポリイソシアネート組成物No.1
ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートのイソシアヌレート変性体(旭化成ケミカルズ社製、デュラネート(登録商標)TKA−100(NCO含有率:21.7質量%))30質量部、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートのビュレット変性体(旭化成ケミカルズ社製、デュラネート21S−75E(NCO含有率:15.5質量%))30質量部、イソホロンジイソシアネートのイソシアヌレート変性体(BAYER社製、デスモジュール(登録商標) Z 4470(NCO含有率:11.9質量%))40質量部を混合した。ここに、溶媒として、メチルエチルケトン、酢酸n−ブチル、トルエンの混合溶媒を追加し、ポリイソシアネート成分の濃度が60質量%になるように調整した。
ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートのビュレット変性体(旭化成ケミカルズ社製、デュラネート21S−75E(NCO含有率:15.5質量%))100質量部と、メチルエチルケトン100質量部を混合した。
塗料の配合を表4に示した。
上記で得たゴルフボール本体の表面をサンドブラスト処理して、マーキングを施した後、スプレーガンで塗料を塗布し、40℃のオーブンで24時間塗料を乾燥させ、質量45.3gのゴルフボールを得た。塗装は、3本のプロングを備えた回転体にゴルフボール本体を載置し、回転体を300rpmで回転させ、ゴルフボール本体からエアーガンを吹き付け距離(7cm)だけ離間させて上下方向に移動させながら行った。エアーガンの吹付条件は、吹付エアー圧;0.15MPa、圧送タンクエアー圧;0.10MPa、1回の塗布時間;1秒、雰囲気温度;20℃〜27℃、雰囲気湿度;65%以下の条件で塗装とした。なお、ゴルフボール本体に吹き付けた内層用塗料が完全に乾燥した後、外層用塗料の吹き付けを行った。得られたゴルフボールの評価結果を表5に示した。
Claims (5)
- ゴルフボール本体と前記ゴルフボール本体表面に設けられた塗膜とを有するゴルフボールであって、
前記塗膜が2層以上の多層構造を有し、
前記塗膜の最外層の10%モジュラス(M out )が、9.8MPa以上であり、
塗膜の最外層の10%モジュラス(Mout)と、塗膜の最内層の10%モジュラス(Min)との差(Mout−Min)が、2.5MPa以上であることを特徴とするゴルフボール。 - 前記塗膜の最内層の10%モジュラス(Min)が、9.8MPa未満である請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記塗膜の最外層の厚さ(Tout)が5μm〜30μmであり、
前記塗膜の最内層の厚さ(Tin)が5μm〜30μmである請求項1または2に記載のゴルフボール。 - 前記塗膜の最外層の10%モジュラス(M out )と、前記塗膜の最内層の10%モジュラス(M in )との差(M out −M in )が、6.4MPa以上である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記塗膜を構成する基材樹脂が、ポリウレタンである請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のゴルフボール。
