Description
(1)特許文献1:高温環境下における耐オゾン性が不十分である。また、特許文献1に記載のフッ素ゴム成形体には、耐オゾン性等を良好に保持しつつゴム配合量を削減する観点から、好ましくは無機充填剤等の充填剤が配合されるが、無機充填剤は、シール材を適用した装置やそれを用いて製造される製品を汚染する要因となり得る。すなわち、耐オゾン性が良好なシール材を用いる場合であっても、過酷なオゾン環境下ではシール材のエラストマー成分がオゾンによってエッチングされることがあり、この場合、配合されている無機充填剤が上記装置内に飛散するおそれがある。

前記ペリレン骨格を有する化合物は、ペリレン及び3,4,9,10−ペリレンテトラカルボン酸ジイミド以外の化合物である、パーフルオロエラストマー組成物。
で表される化合物である、[1]に記載のパーフルオロエラストマー組成物。
〔a〕パーフルオロエラストマー
パーフルオロエラストマーとしては特に制限されず、例えば、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)−パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)系共重合体や、TFE−パーフルオロ(アルコキシアルキルビニルエーテル)系共重合体等を挙げることができる。これらの共重合体は、他のパーフルオロモノマー由来の構成単位をさらに含んでいてもよい。パーフルオロエラストマーを含むパーフルオロエラストマー組成物によれば、水素原子含有フッ素エラストマーを含む組成物に比べて、耐オゾン性をより高めることができる。パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、パーフルオロエラストマーを1種のみ含んでいてもよいし、2種以上を含んでいてもよい。

パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、ペリレン骨格を有する化合物(以下、「ペリレン系化合物」ともいう。)を含有する。これにより、高温環境下における耐オゾン性を向上させることができる。ペリレン系化合物は、ペリレン及び3,4,9,10−ペリレンテトラカルボン酸ジイミド以外の化合物である限り特に制限されない。本発明で使用可能なペリレン系化合物の具体例は、例えば、以下のものを含む。パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、ペリレン系化合物を1種のみ含んでいてもよいし、2種以上を含んでいてもよい。
ペリレン系化合物は、好ましくは、式(1)で表される化合物を含む。
パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、パーフルオロエラストマーの架橋系に応じた架橋剤を含むことができる。パーフルオロエラストマーの架橋系は、例えば、パーオキサイド架橋系、トリアジン架橋系、オキサゾル架橋系、イミダゾル架橋系、チアゾール架橋系等であり得る。好ましくは、パーオキサイド架橋系である。架橋剤は、1種のみを用いてもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
CH2=CH−(CF2)n−CH=CH2 (3)
で表されるジオレフィン化合物である。式(3)におけるnは、好ましくは4〜12の整数であり、より好ましくは4〜8の整数である。上記トリアリルイソシアヌレート等とジオレフィン化合物とを併用してもよい。共架橋剤が上記ジオレフィン化合物を含むことは、高温環境下での圧縮永久歪特性が改善された架橋物を得るうえで有利である。
パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、加工性改善や物性調整等を目的として、必要に応じて、老化防止剤、酸化防止剤、加硫促進剤、加工助剤(ステアリン酸等)、安定剤、粘着付与剤、シランカップリング剤、可塑剤、難燃剤、離型剤、ワックス類、滑剤等の添加剤を含むことができる。添加剤の他の例は、フッ素系オイル(例えば、パーフルオロエーテル等)のような粘着性低減(防止)剤である。添加剤は1種のみを用いてもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
パーフルオロエラストマー組成物は、パーフルオロエラストマー、ペリレン系化合物、架橋剤(あるいは架橋剤と共架橋剤、又は架橋触媒)、及び必要に応じて添加されるその他の配合剤を均一に混練りすることにより調製できる。混練り機としては、例えば、オープンロールのようなミキシングロール;ニーダー、バンバリーミキサーのようなミキサー等の従来公知のものを用いることができる。これらの配合剤は、一度に混合して混練されてもよいし、一部の配合剤を混練した後、残りの配合剤を混練するといったように複数段に分けてすべての配合剤を混練するようにしてもよい。
上記パーフルオロエラストマー組成物を架橋成形(加硫成形)することにより、シール材のような架橋成形物を得ることができる。すなわち、シール材は、パーフルオロエラストマー組成物の架橋物からなる。架橋成形は、必要に応じてパーフルオロエラストマー組成物を予備成形した後、金型を用いてプレス成形することにより行うことができる。成形温度は、例えば150〜220℃程度である。送りプレス成形、インジェクション成形、押出成形等により成形を行ってもよい。必要に応じて、150〜320℃程度の温度で二次架橋を行ってもよい。
次の手順に従って、パーフルオロエラストマー組成物を調製し、次いでシール材を作製した。まず、表1に示される配合組成に従って(表1における配合量の単位は重量部である)、各配合剤の所定量をオープンロールにより混練した。次に、得られたパーフルオロエラストマー組成物を、下記の条件でプレス成形した後、下記の条件で熱による2次架橋を行ってシール材(Oリング)を得た。
実施例10、比較例2:プレス成形条件 165℃×10分;2次架橋条件 150℃×7時間、次いで300℃×4時間の2段階、
実施例11、比較例3:プレス成形条件 188℃×15分;2次架橋条件 250℃×24時間。
〔1〕FFKM1:テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)−ヨウ素原子含有パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)共重合体であるパーフルオロエラストマーと、上記式(3)で表される共架橋剤と、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン粒子とを含む組成物〔ソルベイスペシャリティポリマーズ社製「Tecnoflon PFR5910M」)。表1には、「FFKM1」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれるパーフルオロエラストマーの含有量(重量部)を示し、「フッ素樹脂1」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれるフッ素樹脂の含有量(重量部)を示し、「共架橋剤」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれる上記式(3)で表される共架橋剤の含有量(重量部)を示している。
〔2〕FFKM2:パーフルオロエラストマー〔3M社製「PFE 191TZ」〕。
〔3〕FFKM3:パーフルオロエラストマーとフッ素樹脂とを含む組成物〔3M社製「PFE 133TBZ」〕。表1には、「FFKM3」の欄に、FFKM3に含まれるパーフルオロエラストマーの含有量(重量部)を示し、「フッ素樹脂3」の欄に、FFKM3に含まれるフッ素樹脂の含有量(重量部)を示している。

〔5〕架橋剤:2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサン〔日油製「パーヘキサ25B」〕。

得られた架橋成形品(シール材)について、下記の項目を測定、評価した。結果を表1に示す。
シール材を、オゾン濃度200g/m3、温度160℃の環境下に72時間置くオゾン暴露試験を行った。試験前後のシール材の重量を測定し、下記式:
重量減少率(%)={(試験前の重量−試験後の重量)/(試験前の重量)}×100に従って重量減少率を求めた。
JIS K6262に準拠し、200℃×72時間、圧縮率25%、及び260℃×72時間、圧縮率25%のそれぞれの条件で、線径φ3.53 Oリングを使用して圧縮永久歪を測定した。
次の手順に従って、パーフルオロエラストマー組成物を調製し、次いでシール材を作製した。まず、表2に示される配合組成に従って(表2における配合量の単位は重量部である)、各配合剤の所定量をオープンロールにより混練した。次に、得られたパーフルオロエラストマー組成物を、下記の条件でプレス成形した後、下記の条件で熱による2次架橋を行ってシール材(Oリング)を得た。
〔1〕FFKM1:テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)−ヨウ素原子含有パーフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)共重合体であるパーフルオロエラストマーと、上記式(3)で表される共架橋剤と、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン粒子とを含む組成物〔ソルベイスペシャリティポリマーズ社製「Tecnoflon PFR5910M」)。表2には、「FFKM1」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれるパーフルオロエラストマーの含有量(重量部)を示し、「フッ素樹脂1」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれるフッ素樹脂の含有量(重量部)を示し、「共架橋剤」の欄に、FFKM1に含まれる上記式(3)で表される共架橋剤の含有量(重量部)を示している。
〔2〕架橋剤:2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサン〔日油製「パーヘキサ25B」〕。
〔3〕ペリレン系化合物A:C.I.ピグメントレッド149(上記式(1)においてR1=R2=3,5−ジメチルフェニル基である化合物)。
〔4〕ペリレン系化合物C:C.I.ピグメントレッド179(上記式(1)においてR1=R2=メチル基である化合物)。
得られた架橋成形品(シール材)について、実施例1〜11、比較例1〜3と同様にして耐オゾン性及び圧縮永久歪を測定、評価した。結果を表2に示す。

- 無機充填剤を含まない、請求項1に記載のパーフルオロエラストマー組成物。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のパーフルオロエラストマー組成物の架橋物からなるシール材。
