プリオン(PrPsc)は他のアミロイドより水素結合が強固であり、プロテア−ゼによって分解され難い。そのため食べ物に付着して消化器より侵入したプリオン(PrPsc)が消化器で分解されずに、体内に吸収されseedとなって感染すると考えられる。しかし、他のアミロイドも分解されずに体内に侵入した場合、例えば手術時の手術器具や使い捨て以外の医療用器具から、感染する可能性が高い。
実施例として、プリオン(PrPsc)を付着させた針を、上述した本実施形態の洗浄殺菌方法に則って洗浄後、マウスの脳実質にステンレス針を差し込み、発症死亡までの生存期間を計測した。対照として、洗浄しない針をマウスの脳実質に差し込み、発症死亡までの生存期間を計測した。本実施例に用いる洗浄によるプリオン伝播(感染)検証プログラムを各ステップごとに説明する。
(比較実験)プリオン(PrPsc)汚染針6本を洗浄した後の生理食塩水10mmlを、10,000g,1h遠心濃縮後、1mLに溶解し、0.02mLを、マウス脳内に直接接種(深さ5mm、3秒間)する。
Claims (2)
- 医療用器具、動物用医療器具、食肉加工用具及び調理用具を含む対象物の洗浄殺菌方法であって、
前記対象物を水で超音波洗浄する水洗浄工程と、
前記対象物をpH11.5〜12のアルカリ性電解水で、3〜20分の間の時間である第1所定時間の間、超音波洗浄するアルカリ性電解水洗浄工程と、
前記アルカリ性電解水洗浄工程の後、前記対象物を水で超音波洗浄する水洗浄工程と、
前記水洗浄工程の後、前記対象物をpH2.5〜3.5の酸性電解水で、1分〜20分の間の時間である第2所定時間の間、撹拌洗浄する酸性電解水洗浄工程と、
酸性電解水洗浄工程の後、前記対象物を水で超音波洗浄する水洗浄工程と、
を有する、洗浄殺菌方法。 - 前記水洗浄工程の後、前記対象物に紫外線を照射する紫外線照射工程と、
を有する請求項1に記載の洗浄殺菌方法。
