(実施例)
この偏光素子用窓243には、受光用偏光素子241と投光用偏光素子242とを厳密に90°位相をズラして一枚に加工してなる偏光素子24が、受光用偏光素子241を上側に、投光用偏光素子242を下側にして配設されている。なお、拡散板23の形状は、四角錐台状に限定されず、例えば、撮像軸に対して周囲を側面が取り囲むよう、ドーム状や、円錐台及び角錐台などの錐台状であってもよい。また、拡散板23の形状は、撮像軸の周りを一周隙間なく取り囲んでいてもよいし、隙間が空いていてもよい。つまり、複数の側面が互いに離間して取り囲んでいてもよい。

Claims (9)
- 読取対象となるシンボルに照射され、シンボル上で反射した光が通過する読取口が形成されたヘッド部と、
前記ヘッド部に連設され、ユーザによって把持される把持部と、
を有し、前記読取口を通過した光を受光して得られた画像データに基づきシンボルを読み取る携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記ヘッド部は、
照明基板と、
前記照明基板の前記読取口側に環状に配置された複数の第一光源と、
読取対象となるシンボルに照明光を出射する第二光源と、
前記第二光源から出射された照明光を偏光する投光用偏光素子と、
前記複数の第一光源の内側に配置され、側面部および底面部により錐台状またはドーム状に形成された拡散部材であって、
前記複数の第一光源から出射された光を拡散させて拡散光を照射する発光面が、前記側面部のうち前記底面部から離れた位置にある前記照明基板よりも前記読取口側に形成される前記側面部と、
前記投光用偏光素子にて偏光された偏波光を通過させる投光用開口、および、該発光面から発せられた拡散光がシンボル上で反射した第1の反射光を通過させ、且つ、該投光用開口を通過した偏波光がシンボル上で反射した第2の反射光を通過させる受光用開口が形成された前記底面部とを有する拡散部材と、
前記底面部に形成された受光用開口を通過した第1の反射光を偏光し、且つ、前記底面部に形成された受光用開口を通過した第2の反射光を偏光する受光用偏光素子と、
前記受光用偏光素子にて偏光された第1の反射光を受光してシンボルの画像データを生成し、且つ、前記受光用偏光素子にて偏光された第2の反射光を受光してシンボルの画像データを生成する撮像部と、
を備える携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項1に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記投光用開口は、前記開口面において前記受光用開口の近傍に設けられる携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項2に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記受光用開口及び投光用開口は、連設され、一の開口を形成してなる携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項2に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記受光用開口及び投光用開口は、分離して並設され、別個の開口を形成してなる携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか一に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記受光用偏光素子及び投光用偏光素子は、夫々、前記拡散部材に固定されてなる携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項2〜5のいずれか一に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記受光用偏光素子及び投光用偏光素子は、位相が互いに90°異なるよう2つの偏光素子が連設されて一の部材をなす携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか一に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記拡散部材は、
前記ヘッド部内で前記撮像部の前方に配設される後端面と、
前記撮像部の撮像軸を取り囲むよう前記後端面に連設されると共に、前記第一光源が前記拡散部材の外側に位置するように配設される側面と、
を備え、
前記受光用開口及び投光用開口は、前記後端面に形成されてなる携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項7に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記第二光源は、前記ヘッド部内において前記拡散部材の前記後端面の下方に配設される携帯型光学読取装置。 - 請求項1〜8のいずれか一に記載の携帯型光学読取装置であって、
前記第二光源と前記投光用偏光素子との間には、前記第二光源から出射された光の照射範囲を絞り込むリフレクタ又はレンズが設けられる携帯型光学読取装置。
