Description
7.5リットルのステンレス鋼製反応器に、4000gの水および2.5gの界面活性剤としてのPLURONIC 31R1を入れた。アルゴンを用いてその混合物をパージし、0.5時間撹拌した。撹拌を継続しながら、その反応器をシールし、加熱して83℃とした。その反応器にフッ化ビニリデンを仕込んで、圧力650psigとし、0.85重量%の過硫酸カリウムおよび0.85%重量%の酢酸ナトリウムからなる水性重合開始剤溶液を480g/hrの速度で仕込んで反応を開始させてから、残りの反応時間の間はずっと、その重合開始剤溶液のフィード速度を約60.0g/hに設定した。必要とされるフッ化ビニリデンと酢酸ビニルを表1に示したような所定の比率で添加することによって、その反応圧力を650psigに維持した。合計して2000gのVDFを反応器に添加した後、モノマーのフィードを停止した。温度を維持しながら、撹拌を10分間続けた。撹拌と加熱を停止した。室温にまで冷却してから、過剰なガスを放出させ、反応器から、ステンレス鋼の網を通過させてラテックスを抜き出した。そのラテックスについて、重量法の固形分測定を実施し、反応器にフィードしたフッ化ビニリデンおよび酢酸ビニルの重量を基準にして、ポリマー収率を求めた。モノマーをポリマーに転換させるために使用した過硫酸カリウムの量は、フッ化ビニリデンモノマーの重量を基準にして報告している。
Claims (13)
- 80〜99.95モルパーセントの1種または複数のフルオロモノマーと、0.05〜20モルパーセントの、式CH2=CH−O−(CO)−Rn(式中、Rnは、水素原子またはC1〜C4直鎖状もしくは分岐状の炭化水素である)を有する1種または複数のビニルエステルとを含む半晶質のランダムコポリマーであって、
前記フルオロモノマーが、70〜100重量パーセントのフッ化ビニリデンを含み、
前記ビニルエステルモノマー単位の少なくとも40モルパーセントが、前記コポリマーの中で、2個のフルオロモノマー単位の間の単一のモノマー単位として存在している、前記ランダムコポリマー。 - 前記フルオロモノマーが、フッ化ビニリデン(VDF)、フッ化ビニル(VF)、トリフルオロエチレン、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)、エチレン テトラフルオロエチレン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)、およびヘキサフルオロプロピレン(HFP)、ならびにそれらの混合物、からなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載のランダムコポリマー。
- 親水性コポリマーである、請求項1または2に記載のランダムコポリマー。
- 前記ビニルエステルが、酢酸ビニルを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のランダムコポリマー。
- 前記ビニルエステルモノマー単位のモルパーセントが、0.5〜15モルパーセントである、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のランダムコポリマー。
- 前記ビニルエステルモノマー単位のモルパーセントが、1〜10モルパーセントである、請求項5に記載のランダムコポリマー。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のランダムコポリマーを形成させるためのプロセスであって、
a)フルオロモノマーを含む初期モノマーチャージを仕込む工程、および
b)重合が開始したら、前記反応器に、ビニルエステルモノマーをフルオロモノマーと共に共連続的にスターブ・フィードする工程、
の工程を含む、プロセス。 - 前記初期モノマーフィードが、フルオロモノマーからなっている、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記重合プロセスにおいて、非フッ素化界面活性剤のみが使用される、請求項7または8に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のランダムコポリマーを含む材料。
- 前記材料が、非水溶媒タイプの二次電池またはコンデンサー電極を形成させるのに使用される濾過膜、中空繊維濾過デバイス、およびスラリーバインダーから選択される、請求項10に記載の材料。
- 前記スラリーバインダーが、
a)0.2〜150部の、請求項1に記載のランダムコポリマー;
b)10〜500部の、1種または複数の粉体状電極形成物質;
c)任意選択で、0〜10部の、1種または複数の増粘剤;
d)任意選択で、1種または複数のpH調節剤;
e)任意選択で、0〜10部の、沈降防止剤および界面活性剤からなる群より選択される1種または複数の添加剤;
f)任意選択で、0〜5部の、1種または複数の濡れ剤;
g)任意選択で、0〜150部の、1種または複数の逃散性接着促進剤;
h)100部の水;
を含み、
すべての部は、100重量部の水を基準にした重量部であり、前記組成物には、フルオロ界面活性剤をまったく含まない、
水系のスラリーである、請求項11に記載の材料。 - 前記スラリーバインダーが、
a)0.1〜150部の、請求項1に記載のランダムコポリマー、
b)10〜500部の、1種または複数の粉体状電極形成物質;
c)100部の、前記ランダムコポリマーを溶解させることが可能な溶媒、
を含む溶媒系のスラリーである、請求項11に記載の材料。
