Claims (14)
- 熱アシスト磁気記録ヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
発光素子に取り付けられるサブマウントを備える光源部と、
ロードビーム及び前記ロードビームに動作可能に接続される屈曲部を備えるサスペンションと、
前記屈曲部に変形可能に接続されるアクチュエータと、
前記サスペンションにより支持され、前記屈曲部及び前記光源部に接続され、熱アシスト磁気記録ヘッドを含むスライダと、
を備え、
前記サブマウント及び前記発光素子は、それぞれ、前記ヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリの長手方向に沿って形成された第1及び第2長手辺を有し、前記発光素子の前記第1長手辺が前記サブマウントの前記第2長手辺に取り付けられ、
前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺及び前記発光素子の前記第2長手辺は、前記光源部の両側の辺であり、
前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺に取り付けられる第1はんだ又は導電接着剤は、前記サブマウントを前記光源部に電力を供給する配線に電気的及び機械的に接続させるように構成され、
前記発光素子の前記第2長手辺に取り付けられる第2はんだ又は導電接着剤は、前記発光素子を前記配線に電気的及び機械的に接続させるように構成され、
導電性金属でコーティングされた少なくとも1つの貫通穴が、前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺を覆う第1金属膜を、前記サブマウントの前記第2長手辺を覆う第2金属膜に電気的に接続し、これにより前記第1はんだ又は導電接着剤を前記発光素子に電気的に接続する、ヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記屈曲部は、前記配線を備えるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記スライダは、前記配線を備えるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記サブマウントは、さらに前記サブマウントと一体に形成された光検出器を備えるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項4に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記光検出器は、半導体フォトダイオードであるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記サブマウントは、結晶性シリコン物質を備えるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - 請求項6に記載のヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリであって、
前記サブマウントは、不純物原子がドープされたシリコンを備えるヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリ。 - ハードディスク装置であって、
スピンドルに回転可能に取り付けられた記録ディスク媒体と、
発光素子に取り付けられるサブマウントを備える光源部と、ロードビーム及び前記ロードビームに動作可能に接続される屈曲部を備えるサスペンションと、前記屈曲部に変形可能に接続されるアクチュエータと、前記サスペンションにより支持され且つ前記屈曲部及び前記光源部に接続され、前記記録ディスク媒体に対し書き込み又は読み出しを行うよう構成された熱アシスト磁気記録ヘッドを含むスライダと、を備える熱アシスト磁気記録ヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリと、
前記スライダを移動させて前記記録ディスク媒体の一部にアクセスするよう構成された回転型アクチュエータと
を備え、
前記サブマウント及び前記発光素子は、それぞれ、前記ヘッド・ジンバル・アセンブリの長手方向に沿って形成された第1及び第2長手辺を有し、前記発光素子の前記第1長手辺が前記サブマウントの前記第2長手辺に取り付けられ、
前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺及び前記発光素子の前記第2長手辺は、前記光源部の両側の辺であり、
前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺に取り付けられる第1はんだ又は導電接着剤は、前記サブマウントを前記光源部に電力を供給する配線に電気的及び機械的に接続させるように構成され、
前記発光素子の前記第2長手辺に取り付けられる第2はんだ又は導電接着剤は、前記発光素子を前記配線に電気的及び機械的に接続させるように構成され、
導電性金属でコーティングされた少なくとも1つの貫通穴が、前記サブマウントの前記第1長手辺を覆う第1金属膜を、前記サブマウントの前記第2長手辺を覆う第2金属膜に電気的に接続し、これにより前記第1はんだ又は導電接着剤を前記発光素子に電気的に接続する、ハードディスク装置。 - 前記屈曲部は、前記配線を有する、請求項8に記載のハードディスク装置。
- 前記スライダは、前記配線を有する、請求項8に記載のハードディスク装置。
- 前記サブマウントは、さらに前記サブマウントと一体に形成された光検出器を備える、請求項8に記載のハードディスク装置。
- 前記光検出器は、半導体フォトダイオードである、請求項11に記載のハードディスク装置。
- 前記サブマウントは、結晶シリコン物質を備える、請求項8に記載のハードディスク装置。
- 前記サブマウントは、不純物原子がドープされたシリコンを備える請求項13に記載のハードディスク装置。
