Claims (19)
- 制御された環境中において昆虫を生育し、
その1つが幼虫駆除剤である1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を含む害虫駆除剤コーティングを前記昆虫の表面に付与して、前記幼虫駆除剤を含む前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫を作製し、該害虫駆除剤担持昆虫を野生の蚊集団に送り込むことによって、前記野生の蚊集団を防除する
ことを含む昆虫防除方法。 - 前記昆虫が成虫であり、
前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤の少なくとも1つが、幼虫の生存に影響するか又は幼虫の成虫への変態を妨害し、かつ、成虫に対してはほとんど影響しない請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫がオスの成虫である請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを有する昆虫が蚊である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを有する昆虫がオスの蚊の成虫である請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤が化学物質又は生物学的因子である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。

- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを付与された昆虫を、該直接処置個体の昆虫が送り込まれた前記蚊集団の未処置の個体と接触させることにより、間接処置個体を産生することを更に含む請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを付与された昆虫及び前記間接処置個体の両方が、前記害虫駆除剤を前記昆虫集団に送達することにより該昆虫集団を防除する請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫がメスである請求項1、2、4及び6〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 制御された環境中において成虫に幼虫駆除剤を付与することにより得られる、制御環境中において生育した幼虫駆除剤担持成虫を含み、
前記幼虫駆除剤が、成虫に対しては最小の影響を有し、かつ、蚊幼虫の生存に影響するか又は蚊幼虫の成虫への変態を妨害する蚊防除用製剤。 - 前記成虫がオスの蚊である請求項13に記載の製剤。
- 前記成虫が蚊である請求項13に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤が化学物質又は生物学的因子である請求項13〜15のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記化学物質が、アザジラクチン、ジフルベンズロン、メソプレン、ニームオイル (アザジラクタ インディカ)、ノバルロン、ピリプロキシフェン、S-メソプレン、S-ヒドロプレン及びテメホスからなる群より選択されるか、又は、
前記生物学的因子が、アスコグレガリン属、バシラス スフェリカス、バシラス スリンジェンシス イスラエレンシス、バキュロウイルス、コペポーダ属、デンソヴィリネ属、ラゲニジウム ギガンテウム、ミクロスポリダ属、スピノサド及びスピノシンからなる群より選択される請求項13〜16のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。 - 前記蚊が
(1)繁殖能力が制限されている
(2)咬まないように改変されている、及び/又は
(3)疾患を媒介しないように改変されている
