Claims (20)
- その1つが幼虫駆除剤である1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を含む害虫駆除剤コーティングを、制御された環境中の昆虫の表面に付与して、前記幼虫駆除剤を含む前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫を作製し、ここで、前記幼虫駆除剤は、蚊幼虫の生存に影響するか又は蚊幼虫の成虫への変態を妨害し、かつ、成虫に対してはほとんど影響せず、
前記昆虫を野生の蚊集団に送り込むことによって、該野生の蚊集団を防除する
ことを含む昆虫防除方法。 - 制御された環境中において生育した昆虫を準備することを更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御された環境中において生育した昆虫が樹立されたコロニーの昆虫である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫が蚊ではない昆虫である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 害虫駆除剤コーティングの付与が、粉、顆粒その他の固体の殺虫剤を昆虫に振り掛けるか、又は液体の殺虫剤を昆虫に噴霧することを含む請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫がオスの成虫である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する昆虫が蚊である請求項1〜3、5及び6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを付与された昆虫を、該直接処置個体の昆虫が送り込まれた前記蚊集団の未処置個体と接触させることにより、間接処置蚊集団を生じさせることを更に含む請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記害虫駆除剤コーティングを付与された昆虫及び前記間接処置蚊集団の両方が、前記害虫駆除剤を前記野生蚊集団に送達することにより該蚊集団を防除する請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記1又はそれより多い害虫駆除剤を担持する、制御された環境中において生育した昆虫がメスである請求項1〜5及び7〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記昆虫が、
(1)繁殖能力
(2)咬む能力、及び/又は
(3)疾患媒介能力
が制限されているように改変されているメスの蚊である請求項10に記載の方法。 - 制御された環境中において成虫に幼虫駆除剤コーティングを付与することにより得られる幼虫駆除剤担持成虫を含み、前記幼虫駆除剤が、成虫に対しては最小の影響を有し、かつ、蚊幼虫の生存に影響するか又は蚊幼虫の成虫への変態を妨害する、昆虫防除用製剤。
- 前記担持成虫が制御された環境中において生育した成虫である請求項12に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤担持昆虫が樹立されたコロニーの昆虫である請求項12又は13に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤担持昆虫が蚊ではない昆虫である請求項12〜14のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤コーティングが、制御された環境中の昆虫に、粉、顆粒その他の固体の殺虫剤を振り掛けるか又は液体の殺虫剤を噴霧することにより作製される請求項12〜15のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤コーティングを有する昆虫がオスの成虫である請求項12〜16のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤コーティングを有する昆虫が蚊である請求項12〜14、16及び17のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記幼虫駆除剤コーティングを有する昆虫がメスである請求項12〜16及び18のいずれか1項に記載の製剤。
- 前記メスの昆虫が、
(1)繁殖能力
(2)咬む能力、及び/又は
(3)疾患媒介能力
が制限されているように改変されている請求項19に記載の製剤。
