Claims (13)
- 骨折した骨を安定させるためのツール(10)であって、
バレル(24)、ハンドル(16)及びモード選択リング(32)を含む本体部(31)であって、前記モード選択リング(32)が前記バレル(24)の周りで回転可能であり且つ準備完了モード位置(120)と、組立モード位置(118)と、深さモード位置(116)との間で切り替えるように構成される、本体部と、
マガジンヘッド(60)、前記マガジンヘッドから延びるマガジンノーズ(58)及び複数の通路(98)を有するマガジンであって、前記複数の通路(98)の1つ又はそれ以上の通路が骨ピン(62)を受け入れるように構成される、マガジン(56)と、
前記マガジン(56)を受け入れるように構成されたマガジンホルダ(26)と、
前記マガジンホルダ(26)の一部分を受け入れるように構成された開口部を画定するカラー(22)と、
ヘッド(66)、前記ヘッドから延びるシャフト(68)及び前記シャフト(68)に結合された突起部(70)を有するピストン(64)であって、前記突起部(70)が、前記複数の通路の第1通路(98)内に受け入れられるように構成される、ピストンと、
前記本体部(31)に結合されたトリガ(18)であって、前記トリガが起動されたとき、前記ピストン(64)が前記骨ピン(62)を前記第1通路(98)から軸方向に打ち込むのに充分な力を前記骨ピン(62)に加えるように構成される、トリガと、
前記バレル(24)に沿って位置付けられる深さセレクタ(30)と、を備え、前記モード選択リング(32)が前記深さモード位置にあるとき、前記深さセレクタ(30)が、前記第1通路(98)から軸方向に打ち込まれる前記骨ピンの長さを調節するために前記バレルの長さに沿って移動するように構成される、

- 前記モード選択リング(32)が前記準備完了モード位置(120)にあるとき、前記マガジンホルダ(26)が前記本体部(31)にロックされる、請求項1又は2に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記モード選択リング(32)が前記組立モード位置(118)にあるときに前記トリガ(18)が初期位置にロックされる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記モード選択リング(32)が前記深さモード位置(116)にあるとき、前記トリガ(18)が初期位置にロックされ且つ前記マガジンホルダ(26)が前記本体部(31)にロックされ、前記モード選択リング(32)が前記準備完了モード位置(120)にあるとき、前記深さセレクタ(30)が前記バレル(24)に沿った位置にロックされ且つ前記マガジンホルダ(26)が前記本体部(31)にロックされ、前記モード選択リング(32)が前記組立モード位置(118)にあるとき、前記深さセレクタ(30)が前記バレル(24)に沿った位置にロックされ且つ前記トリガ(18)が前記初期位置にロックされる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のツール(10)。
- 更に、
前記本体部(31)内に配置された前進歯止め(86)であって、前記前進歯止め(86)が歯止めシャフト(99)及び歯止めヘッド(88)を含み、前記歯止めヘッドが前記マガジンヘッド(60)と相互作用して、前記マガジン(56)を回転させて前記複数の通路(98)の第2通路(98)を前記突起部(70)と整列させるように構成される、前進歯止めと、
を備える、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のツール(10)。 - 前記マガジンヘッド(60)が複数のフィン(57)を含み、前記複数のフィン(57)の各フィンが前記マガジン(56)の長手軸に対して傾斜した表面(55,45)を有し、前記傾斜した表面(55,45)が前記歯止めヘッド(88)と相互作用して、前記マガジン(56)を回転させるように構成される、請求項6に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記複数のフィン(57)の第1部分が前記マガジンヘッド(60)の周りで円周上に離間してフィンの近位列(61B)に配列され、前記複数のフィン(57)の第2部分が前記マガジンヘッド(60)の周りで円周上に離間してフィンの遠位列(61A)に配列され、前記複数のフィンの前記第1部分が前記複数のフィンの前記第2部分から円周上でオフセットする、請求項7に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記歯止めヘッド(88)が、前記前進歯止め(86)の長手軸に対して少なくとも2つの傾斜した表面(102A,102B)を含む形状を有し、前記歯止めヘッドの2つの傾斜した表面(102A,102B)が前記複数のフィン(57)の1つ又はそれ以上の傾斜した表面(55,45)と係合して前記マガジン(56)を回転させるように構成される、請求項8に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記トリガ(18)が、初期位置と、最終位置と、前記初期位置と前記最終位置との間に位置する中間位置とを有し、前記トリガ(18)が前記初期位置から前記中間位置へ起動されると前記ピストン(64)が前記第1通路(98)から軸方向に前記骨ピン(62)を打ち込むように構成され、且つ、前記トリガ(18)が前記中間位置から前記最終位置へ起動されると前記歯止めヘッド(88)が前記マガジンヘッド(60)と相互作用して前記マガジン(56)を回転させて前記第2通路(98)を前記突起部(70)と整列させるように構成される、請求項6〜9のいずれか一項に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記マガジンホルダ(26)は、前記マガジン(56)が前記マガジンホルダ(26)内で回転したときに前記ピストン(64)の前記突起部(70)と整列して前記骨ピン(62)を切り落とすように構成されるトリミング孔(36)を画定するトリミング端部(33)を含む、請求項6〜10のいずれか一項に記載のツール(10)。
- 前記トリミング孔(36)が、湾曲表面(104)を含むブレークエッジ(105)と、エッジ(107)を形成する2つの直線表面(106,108)を含む面取り表面を有するレリーフエッジ(109)とを含む、請求項11に記載のツール(10)。
