Claims (11)
- 電流出力端子対を有する可変定電流源と、
複数のLEDが直列接続し、第1発光色で発光する第1LED列と、
複数のLEDが直列接続し、前記第1発光色とは異なる第2発光色で発光する第2LED列と、
前記第1LED列を流れる電流及び前記第2LED列を流れる電流を検出する電流検出素子と、スイッチ素子を含む電流制御回路と、を有し、
前記可変定電流源に対し前記第1LED列と前記第2LED列とが並列接続され、
前記電流出力端子対間の電圧が第1LED列の第1閾値電圧より小さい場合には、前記第2LED列のみが発光する様に、前記第1LED列の前記第1閾値電圧が前記第2LED列の第2閾値電圧より大きくなるように設定され、
前記電流検出素子によって検出される電流が閾値電流より大きい場合には、前記第1LED列のみが発光する様に、前記電流制御回路は前記スイッチ素子を制御して前記第2LED列を流れる電流を制限する、
ことを特徴とするLED駆動回路。 - 前記可変定電流源の前記電流出力端子間の電圧が前記第1閾値電圧以上であって、前記電流検出素子によって検出された電流が前記閾値電流以下の場合に、前記第1LED列及び前記第2LED列が共に発光する、請求項1に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記可変定電流源と前記第1LED列及び前記第2LED列との間に配置される第3LED列を更に有する、請求項1に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記可変定電流源に対し前記第1LED列及び前記第2LED列と並列接続された第3LED列と、
他の電流検出素子と他のスイッチ素子を含む他の電流制限回路と、を更に有し、
前記他の電流制限回路は、前記他の電流検出素子に流れこむ電流に基づいて、前記第3LED列を流れる電流を制限する、請求項1記載のLED駆動回路。 - 第3LED列を更に有し、
前記第3LED列のアノードが前記電流出力端子対の電流を出力する端子に接続され、前記第3LED列のカソードが前記電流出力端子対の電流が帰還する端子に接続される、請求項1に記載のLED駆動回路。 - 前記スイッチ素子の電流出力端子と前記電流検出素子の間に配置された出力抵抗を更に有する、請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記スイッチ素子がデプレッション型FETである、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記電流制限回路がバイポーラトランジスタを含み、前記バイポーラトランジスタのベース−エミッタ間に前記電流検出素子が接続され、前記バイポーラトランジスタのコレクタから出力される電圧で前記スイッチ素子が制御される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記スイッチ素子がエンハンスメント型FETである、請求項8に記載のLED駆動回路。
- 前記電流検出素子がサーミスタを含む、請求項8又は9に記載のLED駆動回路。
- CIE表色系において、前記第2LED列の発光色を示す第2色度座標は、前記第1LED列の発光色を示す第1色度座標と前記第3LED列の発光色を示す第3色度座標の間に配置され、前記第2色度座標を経由して前記第1色度座標から前記第3色度座標を結ぶ折れ線が黒体輻射軌跡に沿うように配置されている、請求項4に記載のLED駆動回路。
