Description
前記長尺体は、基端部が前記バルーンの外表面から離れ、かつ前記基層の内部に位置する第1の長尺体を有してもよい。これにより、第1の長尺体の基端部の位置を基層の内部で調節することで、水溶性低分子化合物を含む基層が溶ける時間を利用して、薬剤の生体組織への送達性を調節できる。
前記バルーンは、ポリアミド類により形成されてもよい。
前記基層に含まれる前記水溶性低分子化合物は、結晶、アモルファス、またはこれらの混合物であってもよい。
前記水不溶性薬剤は、ラパマイシン、パクリタキセル、ドセタキセル、またはエベロリムスであってもよい。これにより、少なくとも一部が基層の内部に位置する長尺体により、血管内の狭窄部の再狭窄を良好に抑制できる。
前記基層は、表面に凹凸を有してもよい。
前記バルーンの外表面は、前記長尺体が設けられない領域の少なくとも一部に、前記基層に覆われずに外部へ露出する部位を有してもよい。
隣接する前記長尺体同士は、構造的に離れていてもよい。
複数の前記長尺体のうちの一部の隣接する前記長尺体同士は、接触していてもよい。

Claims (17)
- 独立した長軸を有して延在する水不溶性薬剤の結晶である複数の長尺体がバルーンの外表面に設けられるバルーンカテーテルであって、
バルーンの外表面に層状に配置され、分子量が50〜2000であって5mg/mL以上水に溶け、膨潤せずに水に溶解する水溶性低分子化合物を含む基層を有し、
前記長尺体の少なくとも一部は、前記基層の内部に位置し、
前記長尺体は、基端部が前記バルーンの平滑で非多孔質の外表面から離れ、かつ前記基層の内部に位置する第1の長尺体を有するバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記長尺体は、前記バルーンの外表面から延在する第2の長尺体および/または前記基層の外表面から面外方向へ延在する第3の長尺体を有する請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 独立した長軸を有して延在する水不溶性薬剤の結晶である複数の長尺体がバルーンの外表面に設けられるバルーンカテーテルであって、
バルーンの外表面に層状に配置され、分子量が50〜2000であって5mg/mL以上水に溶け、膨潤せずに水に溶解する水溶性低分子化合物を含む基層を有し、
前記長尺体の少なくとも一部は、前記基層の内部に位置し、
前記長尺体は、前記バルーンの平滑で非多孔質の外表面から延在する第2の長尺体を有するバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記長尺体は、基端部が前記バルーンの外表面から離れ、かつ前記基層の内部に位置する第1の長尺体および/または前記基層の外表面から面外方向へ延在する第3の長尺体を有する請求項3に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記水溶性低分子化合物は、セリンエチルエステル、クエン酸エステル、ポリソルベート、糖、アミノ酸エステル、または短鎖モノカルボン酸のグリセロールエステルの少なくとも1つである請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記バルーンは、ポリアミド類により形成される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記基層に含まれる前記水溶性低分子化合物は、結晶、アモルファス、またはこれらの混合物である請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記水不溶性薬剤は、ラパマイシン、パクリタキセル、ドセタキセル、またはエベロリムスである請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記基層は、表面に凹凸を有する請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記バルーンの外表面は、前記長尺体が設けられない領域の少なくとも一部に、前記基層に覆われずに外部へ露出する部位を有する請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 隣接する前記長尺体同士は、構造的に離れている請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 複数の前記長尺体のうちの一部の隣接する前記長尺体同士は、接触している請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 独立した長軸を有して延在する水不溶性薬剤の結晶である複数の長尺体がバルーンの外表面に設けられるバルーンカテーテルの製造方法であって、
薬剤、分子量が50〜2000であって5mg/mL以上水に溶け、膨潤せずに水に溶解する水溶性低分子化合物、有機溶媒および水を含むコーティング溶液を供給するディスペンシングチューブを前記バルーンの平滑で非多孔質の外表面に接触させつつ当該ディスペンシングチューブから前記コーティング溶液を供給し、物理的な刺激を与えることで前記水不溶性薬剤の結晶核を形成するステップと、
水を残しつつ有機溶媒を揮発させて前記結晶核を基に前記長尺体を成長させるステップと、
水を蒸発させて水溶性低分子化合物を含む基層を形成するステップと、を有するバルーンカテーテルの製造方法。 - 前記水溶性低分子化合物は、セリンエチルエステル、クエン酸エステル、ポリソルベート、糖、アミノ酸エステル、または短鎖モノカルボン酸のグリセロールエステルの少なくとも1つである請求項13に記載のバルーンカテーテルの製造方法。
- 前記バルーンは、ポリアミド類により形成される請求項13または14に記載のバルーンカテーテルの製造方法。
- 前記基層に含まれる前記水溶性低分子化合物は、結晶、アモルファス、またはこれらの混合物である請求項13〜15のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテルの製造方法。
- 前記長尺体は、基端部が前記バルーンの平滑で非多孔質の外表面から離れ、かつ前記基層の内部に位置する第1の長尺体、前記バルーンの外表面から延在する第2の長尺体、または前記基層の外表面から面外方向へ延在する第3の長尺体の少なくとも1つを有する請求項13〜16のいずれか1項に記載のバルーンカテーテルの製造方法。
