Description
光配向膜には、光二量化型、光異性化型、光分解型等の種類があるが、上記はどの型の光配向膜にも当てはまる。
(3)前記シランカップリング材としてアミン系のシランカップリング材を用いることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
Claims (4)
- 第1の配向膜を有する第1の基板と第2の配向膜を有する第2の基板とがシール材によって接着され、前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板の間に液晶が挟持された液晶表示装置であって、
前記第1の配向膜および前記第2の配向膜は、前記シール材とオーバーラップしており、
前記第1の配向膜と前記第2の配向膜は、アミン系シランカップリング材を0.3wt%以上0.5wt%未満含む材料から形成され、
前記シール材は、比重カップ法による体積変化率で評価した収縮率が3.1%以下であり、
平面で視て、前記シール材が存在している部分において、前記第1の配向膜は表示領域から延在している絶縁膜と接触して形成され、
前記第1の配向膜及び前記第2の配向膜は光配向されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の配向膜は前記第1の基板の端部まで形成され、前記第2の配向膜は前記第2の基板の端部まで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記絶縁膜はSiNで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示装置。
