Description

胴体を有する航空機の推進システムであって、
上記航空機の後端で上記航空機に取り付けられるように構成され、中心軸を定める後部エンジンを備え、
上記後部エンジンが、
上記後部エンジンの上記中心軸の周りで回転可能であり、ファンシャフトに取り付けられた複数のファンブレードを含むファンと、
上記後部エンジンが上記航空機に取り付けられた場合に、上記ファンの上記複数のファンブレードを取り囲み、上記航空機の上記後端で上記航空機の中点線の周りに広がるナセルと、
上記後部エンジンが上記航空機に取り付けられた場合に、上記後部エンジンを上記航空機に取り付けるために、上記航空機の上記胴体から上記ファンシャフトを貫通して上記ナセルまで延びる構造支持システムと、
を備える、推進システム。
[実施態様2]
上記後部エンジンは、境界層吸い込みファンとして構成される、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様3]
上記構造支持システムは、上記ファンシャフトを貫通して延びる支持シャフトを含む、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様4]
上記支持シャフトは、上記ファンシャフトと同軸であり、上記推進システムは、上記ファンシャフトと上記支持シャフトとの間に軸受組立体をさらに含む、実施態様3に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様5]
上記構造支持システムは、上記構造支持シャフトから上記ナセルまで延びる1又は2以上の構造部材をさらに含む、実施態様3に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様6]
上記1又は2以上の構造部材の各々は、出口ガイドベーンとして構成される、実施態様5に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様7]
上記構造支持システムは、上記複数のファンブレードの後方位置で上記ナセルに取り付けられた1又は2以上の構造部材を含む、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様8]
上記ファンシャフトは、上記航空機の上記胴体の中に少なくとも部分的に配置された動力源に対して機械的に結合される、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様9]
上記動力源は、電気モータとして構成される、実施態様8に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様10]
上記動力源は、アウトランナー式電気モータとして構成される、実施態様8に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様11]
上記推進システムは、2又は3以上の航空機ンジンをさらに含み、上記2又は3以上の航空機ンジンは、少なくとも一部が発電機を駆動し、上記動力源は、上記発電機に電気的に接続した電気モータとして構成される、実施態様8に記載の推進システム。

上記ファンは、可変ピッチファンとして構成される、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様13]
上記ナセルは、上記後部エンジンが上記航空機に取り付けられた場合に、上記航空機の上記中点線の周りで実質的に360度にわたって広がる入口を定める、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様14]
上記後部エンジンは、一対の主翼を有する航空機に取り付けられるように構成され、推進システムは、各々が上記航空機の上記一対の主翼の一方に取り付けられる2又は3以上の航空機エンジンをさらに含む、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。
[実施態様15]
上記構造支持システムは、上記後部エンジンが上記航空機に取り付けられた場合に、上記航空機の上記胴体のバルクヘッドに取り付けられるように構成される、実施態様1に記載の推進システム。

航空機の後端において上記航空機に取り付けられる境界層吸い込みファンであって、
上記境界層吸い込みファンの中心軸の周りで回転可能であり、ファンシャフトに取り付けられた複数のファンブレードを含むファンと、
上記ファンの上記複数のファンブレードを取り囲むナセルと、
後部エンジンが上記航空機に取り付けられた場合に、上記後部エンジンを上記航空機に取り付けるために、上記航空機の上記胴体から上記ファンシャフトを貫通して上記ナセルまで延びる構造支持システムと、
を備える、境界層吸い込みファン。

上記構造支持システムは、上記ファンシャフトを貫通して延びる支持シャフトを含む、実施態様16に記載の境界層吸い込みファン。

Claims (10)
- 胴体(12)を有する航空機(10)の推進システム(100)であって、
前記航空機(10)の後端で前記航空機(10)に取り付けられるように構成され、中心軸を定める後部エンジンを備え、
前記後部エンジンが、
前記後部エンジンの前記中心軸の周りで回転可能であり、ファンシャフト(312)に取り付けられた複数のファンブレード(310)を含むファン(304)と、
前記後部エンジンが前記航空機(10)に取り付けられた場合に、前記ファン(304)の前記複数のファンブレード(310)を取り囲み、前記航空機(10)の前記後端で前記航空機(10)の中点線(15)の周りに広がるナセル(306)と、
前記後部エンジンが前記航空機(10)に取り付けられた場合に、前記後部エンジンを前記航空機(10)に取り付けるために、前記航空機(10)の前記胴体(12)から前記ファンシャフトを貫通して前記ナセル(306)まで延びる構造支持システム(308)と、
を備え、
前記構造支持システム(308)は、
前記ファンシャフト(312)を貫通して延びる支持シャフト(315)と、
前記ファンシャフト(312)と前記支持シャフト(315)との間に配置された軸受組立体とを含む、推進システム(100)。 - 前記後部エンジンは、境界層吸い込みファン(300)として構成される、請求項1に記載の推進システム(100)。
- 上記ファンは、可変ピッチファンとして構成される、請求項1または2に記載の推進システム(100)。
- 前記支持シャフト(315)は、前記ファンシャフト(312)と同軸である、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の推進システム(100)。
- 前記構造支持システム(308)は、前記構造支持シャフト(315)から前記ナセル(306)まで延びる1又は2以上の構造部材(328)をさらに含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の推進システム(100)。
- 前記1又は2以上の構造部材(328)の各々は、出口ガイドベーンとして構成される、請求項5に記載の推進システム(100)。
- 前記構造支持システム(308)は、前記複数のファンブレード(310)の後方位置で前記ナセル(306)に取り付けられた1又は2以上の構造部材(328)を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の推進システム(100)。
- 前記ファンシャフト(312)は、前記航空機(10)の前記胴体(12)の中に少なくとも部分的に配置された動力源(314)に対して機械的に結合される、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の推進システム(100)。
