[Also in Divisions B7 and F1] An aircraft has two or more tail mounted turbo-jet engines 4 driving a ducted fan 1 (see Division B7) which draws boundary layer from the fuselage surface near the engine intakes. The air is drawn either through an annular slot around the fuselage or through arcuate slots in the fuselage.
