Description
上記中空部材の周壁の外表面の一部のみを加熱することにより、該周壁の外側部分であって該周壁の総厚さに対して1/2以下の範囲の硬度を、該外側部分の加熱前の硬度及び該周壁の内側部分の硬度よりも向上させ、かつ、該周壁の内側部分の硬度を該内側部分の加熱前の硬度と略同じにするとともに、該周壁の内側部分の残留応力を非熱処理部よりも低減させる部分熱処理を施すことを特徴とするものである。

Claims (2)
- 管状に形成されて中心線周りの捩り力を受ける中空部材の製造方法において、
上記中空部材の周壁の外表面の一部のみを加熱することにより、該周壁の外側部分であって該周壁の総厚さに対して1/2以下の範囲の硬度を、該外側部分の加熱前の硬度及び該周壁の内側部分の硬度よりも向上させ、かつ、該周壁の内側部分の硬度を該内側部分の加熱前の硬度と略同じにするとともに、該周壁の内側部分の残留応力を非熱処理部よりも低減させる部分熱処理を施すことを特徴とする中空部材の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の中空部材の製造方法において、
部分熱処理は、中空部材の周壁の外側からレーザー光を照射することによって行うことを特徴とする中空部材の製造方法。
