Description
本出願は、米国仮出願番号第61/763,676号明細書(2013年2月12日出願)の便益を主張する。この出願の全開示は、本明細書中、参照として援用される。
本開示は、ゴムコンパウンド用の補強用充填材に関し、より詳細には、ゴムコンパウンド用の機能化シリカ充填材に関する。
本発明の開示の上記ならびに他の利点は、特に本明細書中以下で記載される図面に照らし合わせることで、以下の詳細な説明から当業者に容易に明らかになるだろう。
本発明の好ましい態様は、下記の通りである。
〔1〕乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する疎水化シリカ粒子を含む機能化シリカ製品であって、該疎水化シリカ対該乳化重合体の比が、約4/1〜約50/1である、機能化シリカ製品。
〔2〕前記疎水化シリカが、約150m 2 /g超の比表面積を有する高表面積シリカを含む、前記〔1〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔3〕前記シリカが、シランで疎水化されている、前記〔1〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔4〕前記シランが、(3−メルカプトプロピル)トリエトキシシラン、(3−メルカプトプロピル)トリメトキシシラン、(3−チオシアナトプロピル)トリメトキシシラン、(3−チオシアナトプロピル)トリエトキシシラン、ビス[3−(トリエトキシシリル)プロピル]テトラスルフィド、ビス[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピル]テトラスルフィド、ビス[3−(トリエトキシシリル)プロピル]ジスルフィド、ビス[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピル]ジスルフィド、3−(トリエトキシシリル)プロピルオクタンチオアート、ブロックされたメルカプタン基を有するシラン、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、前記〔3〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔5〕前記シランが、(3−メルカプトプロピル)トリメトキシシランシランである、前記〔4〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔6〕前記乳化重合体が、天然ゴム、ブタジエン、イソプレン、4〜12個の炭素原子を有する共役ジエンと8〜12個の炭素原子を有するビニル置換芳香族とから作られた重合体、ポリクロロプレン、ビニリデンフルオリドとヘキサフルオロプロピレンとの共重合体、アクリルゴム、ニトリルゴム、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、前記〔1〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔7〕前記乳化重合体が、乳化スチレンブタジエンゴムである、前記〔6〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔8〕前記粒子が、砕けやすいクラム及び粉末のうちの1つの形態で、ゆるく凝集している、前記〔1〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔9〕前記疎水化シリカ対前記乳化重合体の前記比が、約10/1である、前記〔1〕に記載の機能化シリカ製品。
〔10〕機能化シリカ製品を製造する方法であって、以下の工程、
シラン溶液とシリカスラリーとを混合して、疎水化シリカスラリーを形成する工程、
該疎水化シリカスラリーを水性ゴムラテックスにブレンドして、ブレンドスラリーを形成する工程、
該ブレンドスラリーを凝固させて、凝固した機能化シリカ製品を形成する工程、
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を脱水する工程、及び
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を、乾燥及び分割して、乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する疎水化シリカ粒子を形成する工程であって、該疎水化シリカ対該乳化重合体の比が約4/1〜約50/1である工程、
を含む、方法。
〔11〕前記シリカスラリーが、前記シラン溶液を前記シリカスラリーと混合する工程の前に、加熱される、前記〔10〕に記載の方法。
〔12〕前記疎水化シリカスラリーのpHが、前記疎水化シリカスラリーを前記水性ゴムラテックスにブレンドする工程の前に、塩基性溶液を加えることにより、7.0〜9.5の範囲に調整される、前記〔10〕に記載の方法。
〔13〕前記凝固した機能化シリカ製品を乾燥及び分割する工程が、前記凝固した機能化シリカ製品を噴霧乾燥することを含む、前記〔10〕に記載の方法。
〔14〕ある量のエラストマー、及び
ある量の乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する疎水化シリカ粒子であって、該疎水化シリカ対該乳化重合体の比が約4/1〜約50/1である疎水化シリカ粒子、
を含み、該粒子が、該エラストマー中に実質的に一様に分布している、ゴム配合物。
〔15〕前記ある量のエラストマーが、溶液重合体を含む、前記〔14〕に記載のゴム配合物。
〔16〕前記〔14〕に記載のゴム配合物を含む、物品。
〔17〕前記〔14〕に記載のゴム配合物を含む構成要素を含む、タイヤ。
〔18〕機能化シリカ製品を第一段階の含水量まで乾燥させるように構成されている脱水装置、及び
該機能化シリカ製品を最終的な含水量まで乾燥させるように構成されている乾燥装置、を含む、機能化シリカ製品を製造するためのシステム。
〔19〕前記機能化シリカ製品を分割して、乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する粒子を含む砕けやすいクラム及び粉末のうちの1つの形態にするように構成されている造粒装置を更に含む、前記〔11〕に記載のシステム。
〔20〕前記脱水装置が、縦型フィルタープロセスである、前記〔11〕に記載のシステム。
Claims (6)
- 機能化シリカ製品を製造する方法であって、以下の工程、
乳化剤を用いずにシラン溶液とシリカスラリーとを混合して、疎水化シリカスラリーを形成する工程、
塩基性溶液の添加により、水性ゴムラテックスのpHをアルカリpHに調節する工程、
前記水性ゴムラテックスと抗酸化剤とを混合して、水性ゴムラテックス及び抗酸化剤の混合物を形成する工程、
該疎水化シリカスラリーを前記水性ゴムラテックス及び抗酸化剤の混合物にブレンドして、ブレンドスラリーを形成する工程、
該ブレンドスラリーを凝固させて、凝固した機能化シリカ製品を形成する工程、
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を脱水する工程、及び
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を、乾燥及び分割して、乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する疎水化シリカ粒子を形成する工程であって、該疎水化シリカ対該乳化重合体の質量比が約10/1〜約50/1であり、前記粒子が、カーボンブラック及び乳化剤を含まず、前記粒子が、抗酸化剤を有し、前記粒子が、砕けやすいクラム及び粉末のうちの1つの形態で、ゆるく凝集している、工程、
を含み、前記乳化重合体が、天然ゴム、ブタジエン、イソプレン、4〜12個の炭素原子を有する共役ジエンと8〜12個の炭素原子を有するビニル置換芳香族とから作られた重合体、ポリクロロプレン、ビニリデンフルオリドとヘキサフルオロプロピレンとの共重合体、ニトリルゴム、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、方法。 - 機能化シリカ製品を製造する方法であって、以下の工程、
乳化剤を用いずにシラン溶液とシリカスラリーとを混合して、疎水化シリカスラリーを形成する工程、
塩基性溶液の添加により、水性ゴムラテックスのpHをアルカリpHに調節する工程、
前記水性ゴムラテックスと抗酸化剤とを混合して、水性ゴムラテックス及び抗酸化剤の混合物を形成する工程、
該疎水化シリカスラリーを前記水性ゴムラテックス及び抗酸化剤の混合物にブレンドして、ブレンドスラリーを形成する工程、
該ブレンドスラリーを凝固させて、凝固した機能化シリカ製品を形成する工程、
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を脱水する工程、及び
該凝固した機能化シリカ製品を、乾燥及び分割して、乳化重合体の薄い被膜を有する疎水化シリカ粒子を形成する工程であって、該疎水化シリカ対該乳化重合体の質量比が約10/1〜約50/1であり、前記粒子が、カーボンブラック及び乳化剤を含まず、前記粒子が、抗酸化剤を有する、工程、
を含み、前記疎水化シリカスラリーのpHが、前記疎水化シリカスラリーを前記水性ゴムラテックスにブレンドする工程の前に、塩基性溶液を加えることにより、7.0〜9.5の範囲に調整される、方法。 - 前記シリカスラリーが、前記シラン溶液を前記シリカスラリーと混合する工程の前に、加熱される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記凝固した機能化シリカ製品を乾燥及び分割する工程が、前記凝固した機能化シリカ製品を噴霧乾燥することを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記疎水化シリカスラリーとブレンドされる前に、水性ゴムラテックスのpHが、約11.0に調節される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- イソプロパノールを酢酸と混合してイソプロパノール及び酢酸の混合物を形成し、次に、前記イソプロパノールと比較して等質量部のシランを前記イソプロパノール及び酢酸の混合物と混合し、次に、追加ステップにおいて過剰な水を添加して、追加ステップの間にシラン溶液が透明になるようにすることによって前記シラン溶液を調製する工程を更に含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
