Description

231グラムのZRCl Alumina Coat、45グラムの高純度アルミナ粉末、AKP−50、及び、24グラムのFerro 10335 Blackを混合して、コーティングを創作し、そのコーティングを、加熱浄化されたNextel 720ファブリックの3フィート×1フィートの一片に、刷毛で塗布したことによって、填隙材は作られた。コーティングは、最初に第1の面に塗布され、4時間乾燥することが可能にされ、次いでコーティングは、反対の第2の面に塗布されて、乾燥することが可能にされた。この工程が繰り返され、最終的に0.28g/平方インチの重量増加が実現した。コーティングされたファブリックは、16時間乾燥することが可能にされ、次いで、コーティングされたファブリックから5インチ×10インチのサンプルが切断された。これらのサンプルは、それらが、およそ3Torrの気圧中で2875°Fよりも高い温度に曝露される放射試験チャンバ内で試験された。試験サンプルは、既知の最新SiO2系填隙材を上回る、放射率及び構造完全性を維持した。
填隙材は、最初に、16インチx24.5インチのシートに切断されたTyranno SAファブリックを、1200°Fで2時間加熱浄化することによって作られた。ファブリックは次いで、第2の面のコーティングの前に、第1の面が脱イオン化したLudox AS−30でコーティングされ、4時間乾燥することが可能にされた。ファブリックの重量増加は、0.36g/平方インチだった。コーティングされたファブリックは、16時間乾燥することが可能にされ、次いで、5インチ×10インチのサンプルに切断された。これらのサンプルは、それらが、およそ3Torrの気圧中で2875°Fよりも高い温度に曝露される、放射試験チャンバ内で試験された。試験サンプルは、既知の最新SiO2系填隙材を上回る、放射率及び構造完全性を維持した。
填隙材は、Tyranno SA炭化ケイ素ファブリックの15インチx12インチの一片を、1000Fで1.5時間加熱浄化することによって作られた。次に、100グラムのKDT Ceraset Polysilazane 20が、33グラムのベータ−SiC粉末と混合された。この混合物は次いで、炭化ケイ素ファブリックに含浸させられ、結果として、0.47g/平方インチの重量増加をもたらした。含浸された炭化ケイ素ファブリックは次いで、真空バッグに入れられ、350°Fまで加熱されたプレス機において、100psiで1時間硬化された。硬化されたファブリックは次いで、250°Fの炉内で30分間、更に乾燥された。乾燥後に、シートから5インチx10インチのサンプルが切断された。サンプルは、それらが、およそ3Torrの気圧中で2875°Fよりも高い温度に曝露される、放射試験チャンバ内で試験された。試験サンプルは、既知の最新SiO2系填隙材を上回る、放射率及び構造完全性を維持した。
填隙材は、最初に、炭素ファブリックを、750°Fで2時間、流動窒素カバーガス下で加熱浄化することによって作られた。加熱浄化されたファブリックは次いで、8.5インチx10インチのシートに切断された。次に、800グラムのトリメトキシメチルシラン246174(Sigma Aldrich、St.Louis、MO)が、160グラムのメチルジエトキシシランSIM6506.0−Y01(Gelest、Marrisville、PA)、及び、200グラムの0.8モル濃度水酸化アンモニウムと混合された。浸潤されたファブリックは、88°Fで一晩ゲル化することが可能にされ、次いで、余分のゲルが手作業でファブリックから除去された。含侵されたファブリックは次いで、30inHgの真空下で、200°Fで8時間乾燥された。ファブリックは次いで、2012°Fで30分間、流動アルゴン雰囲気中で熱分解された。この工程は、同一の温度/時間/真空度で、同一の量の化学物質を使用して、繰り返された。シートは次いで、ファブリックの両面に脱イオン化したLudoxAS−30が塗布されて、0.19g/平方インチの重量増加が実現した。コーティングされたファブリックは次いで、200Fの炉内で2時間、更に乾燥された。乾燥後に、シートから5インチx10インチのサンプルが切断された。これらのサンプルは、それらが、およそ3Torrの気圧中で2875°Fよりも高い温度に曝露される、放射試験チャンバ内で試験された。試験サンプルは、既知の最新SiO2系填隙材を上回る、放射率及び構造完全性を維持した。
Claims (14)
- 第1と第2の面を有する基ファブリックを提供する工程、
耐酸化コーティングを提供し、該基ファブリックの第1と第2の面を、該耐酸化コーティングでコーティングする工程、
該ファブリックを乾燥する工程を含む、柔軟断熱材料を創作するための方法であって、
該断熱材料は、2800°Fまでの温度で曝露後に再使用可能である、方法。 - 基ファブリックは酸化物系ファブリックであり、前記ファブリックはアルミナを含み、コーティングは、ジルコニア耐火コーティング、脱イオン水、及びエミッタンス剤を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基ファブリックは酸化物系ファブリックであり、前記ファブリックはアルミナを含み、コーティングは、コロイダルアルミナ、アルミナ粉末、及び相溶性エミッタンス剤を含む材料を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基ファブリックは非酸化物系ファブリックであり、前記ファブリックは炭化ケイ素を含み、コーティングはコロイダルシリカを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基ファブリックは非酸化物系ファブリックを含み、前記ファブリックは炭化ケイ素を含み、コーティングは、熱分解されない炭化ケイ素プレセラミックポリマー樹脂と炭化ケイ素粉末とを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基ファブリックは非酸化物系ファブリックを含み、前記ファブリックは炭素含有材料を含み、コーティングはケイ素を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基ファブリックは、炭素含有材料を含む非酸化物含有基ファブリックであり、
基ファブリックは、ケイ素含有ゲルコーティングで浸潤され、
コーティングされた基ファブリックを乾燥すること、及び
コーティングされた基ファブリックが、不活性環境中で熱分解されて、炭素含有材料をオキシ炭化ケイ素含有材料に変換する、請求項1および4から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 基ファブリックを熱分解し、コロイダルジルコニア、コロイダルシリカ、及びコロイダルアルミナを含む低アルカリ性コーティングでコーティングする、
工程を更に含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - コーティングは、次の一般式を有する二及び三官能性アルコキシド反応物質を含み、 (R’O)3-Si-R、及び、(R’’O)2-Si-R’’’Rο、式中、R、R’、R’’、R’’’及びRοは、同一又は異なり、水素原子又は1から12個の炭素の炭化水素基を表し、R’’’又はRοが水素原子である条件で、R’及びR’’がアルキル基であり、R、R’’’又はRοが、アルキル、アリール、又は置換アリール基である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 炭化水素基は、炭素と水素を含む基であり、直鎖基、分岐鎖基、飽和基、不飽和基、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される基である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 炭化水素基は、1から12個の炭素原子を有する基を含み、炭化水素基の少なくとも1つは、少なくとも2個の炭素原子を含有し、R’’’又はRοが水素である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- コーティングは、ジアルコキシシラン中のR’’’又はRο基が水素である条件でアルキル−トリアルコキシシラン、アルキルジアルコキシシラン、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される材料を含むシラン含有組成物である、請求項9に記載の方法。
