Claims (17)
- カテーテルバルーンアセンブリであって、
バルーンの作用長さと非膨張直径と作用直径とを画定するバルーン本体部分を有する膨張可能なバルーンと、
前記バルーン本体部分の外面の少なくとも一部分を覆う複数の脆弱性カバーであって、個々の脆弱性カバーには次第に増大する圧力で逐次破裂するような材料強度が与えられ、その結果、予め決められた圧力に達するまで、前記バルーンが前記作用直径よりも小さく、かつ、異なるより大きい中間直径に逐次的に開くように、前記バルーンを調節し、前記バルーンの破裂に先立って内部圧力を受けて破裂する働きをする複数の脆弱性カバーと、を備え、
前記複数の脆弱性カバーは、前記バルーンの前記作用長さに沿って概ね均一な直径を前記バルーンが有することを可能にする働きをすることを特徴とするカテーテルバルーンアセンブリ。 - 前記脆弱性カバーは、前記作用直径よりも小さい中間直径に前記バルーンが開くように前記バルーンを調節する働きをすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテルバルーンアセンブリ。
