Description
この車両は、鉛バッテリからスターターモータに大電流を供給して、スターターモータでもってエンジンを確実に再始動できる特徴がある。それは、鉛バッテリの放電抵抗が極めて小さく、優れた放電特性を有するからである。また、電装用蓄電部からスターターモータに大電流を供給しないので、電装用蓄電部の大電流放電による劣化を防止できる特徴も実現する。
ニッケル水素電池は定格電圧を1.2Vとするので、10個のニッケル水素電池を直列に接続して電装用蓄電部の定格電圧を12Vにできる。したがって、10個のニッケル水素電池を直列に接続して電装用蓄電部とすることで、電装用蓄電部とスターターバッテリの定格電圧をほぼ同じ電圧にできる。したがって、以上の車両は、DC/DCコンバータを介することなくスターターバッテリと電装用蓄電部を並列に接続して、オルタネータの回生発電電力でもって、スターターバッテリと電装用蓄電部の両方をバランスよく充電できる。また、エンジンの再始動状態においては、スターターバッテリに接続されない電装用蓄電部から電装機器に動作電力を供給し、再始動状態を除くタイミングにおいては、スターターバッテリと電装用蓄電部の両方から電装機器にバランスよく安定して動作電力を供給できる特徴がある。
この車両は、電装用蓄電部を小型、軽量化しながら充放電容量を大きくできる特徴がある。
この車両は、DC/DCコンバータを介することなく、エンジンの再始動状態においても、電装用蓄電部から安定して電装機器に動作電力を供給できる特徴がある。それは、ニッケル水素電池が、優れた定電圧特性を有するからである。
この車両は、再始動状態においても電動パワーステアリングを正常に動作し、また、アイドリングストップする車両のコントロールユニットの電源電圧の瞬低によるリセットなどの誤動作を防止できる。
この車両は、定格容量の大きいスターターバッテリから予備蓄電システムの回路に安定して動作電力を供給できる特徴がある。

Claims (7)
- 車両を駆動するエンジンと、前記エンジンを始動させるためのスターターモータと、前記スターターモータに電力を供給するスターターバッテリと、を備え、
アイドリング時に前記エンジンを停止させると共に、前記スターターモータによって前記エンジンを再始動可能に構成されるアイドリングストップする車両であって、
さらに、
前記スターターバッテリと並列に接続される予備蓄電システムと、
車両を減速させる際に回生発電して、前記スターターバッテリ及び前記予備蓄電システムを充電するオルタネータと、
前記エンジンが配置されるエンジンルームと、
前記予備蓄電システムが配置されるキャビンとを備え、
前記予備蓄電システムは、
前記スターターバッテリに、リレーを介して並列に接続される電装用蓄電部と、
前記オルタネータが発電する際に、前記リレーをオン状態に制御すると共に、アイドリングストップしているエンジンを再始動させる際に、前記リレーをオフ状態に制御するリレー制御回路と、を含み、
前記リレーがエンジンルームに配置されてなることを特徴とするアイドリングストップする車両。 - 前記スターターバッテリが鉛バッテリである請求項1に記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
- 前記スターターバッテリが鉛バッテリで、電装用蓄電部がニッケル水素電池である請求項1又は2に記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
- 前記電装用蓄電部がリチウムイオン二次電池である請求項1又は2に記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
- 前記電装用蓄電部がニッケル水素電池で、該電装用蓄電部がDC/DCコンバータを介することなくアイドリングストップ状態の車両の電装機器に電力を供給してなる請求項3に記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
- 前記電装用蓄電部から電力が供給される電装機器が、電動パワーステアリング、アイドリングストップする車両のコントロールユニットを含む請求項1から5のいずれかに記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
- 前記スターターバッテリの定格容量が電装用蓄電部の定格容量よりも大きく、該スターターバッテリから前記予備蓄電システムに動作電力を供給してなる請求項1から6のいずれかに記載されるアイドリングストップする車両。
