Description
Claims (18)
- 車両エンジン排気処理システムに噴射するための尿素水溶液を車上で調整するための装置であって、
市販の尿素水溶液を未調整の尿素水溶液として受け入れて貯蔵するための第1のタンクと、前記第1のタンクからの未調整の尿素水溶液を受け入れるための入口を有すると共に、出口を有する尿素溶液調整タンクと、
前記尿素溶液調整タンク内で前記尿素水溶液から水を除去して、前記尿素水溶液中の尿素の目標濃度を76.9%近傍とするためのデバイスと、
前記尿素溶液調整タンクからの尿素水溶液を受け入れると共に、前記目標濃度の尿素水溶液を車両排気流に噴射するように接続されたインジェクターと、
前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液中の尿素の濃度を決定し、それに反応して、前記目標濃度を所定量超えた場合に、前記調整タンクに未調整の尿素水溶液を添加するように構成されるコントローラーと、
を備える、装置。 - 前記尿素水溶液から水を除去するための前記デバイスは、前記調整タンク内の蒸気圧を低下させるためのデバイスからなる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記蒸気圧を低下させるための前記デバイスは、蒸発線によって前記調整タンクに接続されたベンチュリ管を含む、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記尿素水溶液から水を除去するための前記デバイスは、前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液を加熱するためのヒーターからなる、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記タンク内の尿素の濃度を示す信号を生成するセンサーを備え、前記コントローラーは、前記信号を受信するように接続され、更に前記ヒーターと前記調整タンク内の前記蒸気圧を低下させるための前記デバイスとを制御するように接続及び構成される、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラーは、前記調整タンクへの未調整の尿素水溶液の流れを制御するように構成及び接続される、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラーは、高濃縮溶液からの尿素の析出を防止するのに十分な高さの温度に前記調整タンク内の溶液を維持するように前記ヒーターを制御するように構成される、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記尿素水溶液から水を除去するための前記デバイスは、前記調整タンク内の前記尿素溶液を加熱するためのヒーターからなる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記尿素水溶液から水を除去するための前記デバイスは、前記調整タンク内の蒸気圧を低下させるためのデバイスからなり、前記デバイスは、蒸発線によって前記調整タンクに接続されたベンチュリ管を含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記調整タンク内の尿素の濃度を示す信号を生成するセンサーを備え、前記コントローラーは、前記信号を受信するように接続され、更に前記尿素水溶液から水を除去するための前記デバイスを制御するように接続及び構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラーは、前記調整タンクへの未調整の尿素水溶液の流れを制御するように構成及び接続される、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記調整タンク上に取付けられた圧力逃し弁を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 車両上の源から加圧空気を供給するために前記調整タンクに接続された線を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 内燃エンジン排気用の選択接触還元システムにおいて噴射するための尿素水溶液を調整する方法であって、
供給タンク内に市販の未調整の尿素水溶液を貯蔵するステップと、
大量の前記尿素水溶液を前記供給タンクから調整タンクへとポンプ輸送するステップと、前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液から水を除去して前記尿素水溶液中の尿素の目標濃度を76.9%近傍に上昇させるステップと、
前記選択接触還元システムに向かうエンジン排気流に前記目標濃度の尿素水溶液を噴射するステップと、
前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液中の尿素の濃度を決定するステップと、
前記目標濃度を所定量超えた場合に、前記調整タンクに未調整の尿素水溶液を添加するステップと、からなる、方法。 - 前記水を除去するステップは、前記調整タンク内の圧力を低下させることと、前記調整タンクから蒸発した水を誘導することからなる、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液を加熱して前記尿素水溶液から水を蒸発させるステップを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記調整タンク内の前記尿素水溶液を加熱して、前記溶液からの尿素の析出を防止するのに十分な温度を維持するステップを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記調整タンク内の溶液のレベルを検知するステップと、閾値レベルの検知に応じて、所定量の尿素水を前記調整タンクへとポンプ輸送するステップとを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
