Claims (3)
- 透明な絶縁基板上に、各画素を構成する複数の副画素ごとに発光素子が形成された薄膜トランジスタ基板と、
透明な絶縁基板上に、隣合う2つ以上の前記副画素に跨って配置され、一の波長領域の光を透過させるカラーフィルタである結合カラーフィルタと、隣合う異なる波長領域の光を透過させるカラーフィルタの境界に配置され、光を遮光する遮光膜と、が形成された対向基板と、
隣接する前記副画素の間を絶縁する画素分離膜と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板及び前記対向基板の間のギャップをそれぞれ規制する第1のスペーサ及び第2のスペーサと、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板及び前記対向基板の間に配置される、透明な有機材料からなる充填剤と、
を含み、
前記第1のスペーサは、前記遮光膜との重なりを避けて、前記画素分離膜と前記結合カラーフィルタの間にあり、
前記第2のスペーサは、前記第1のスペーサよりも低く設けられ、前記遮光膜と重なって、前記画素分離膜と前記遮光膜の間にあり、
前記第1のスペーサと前記第2のスペーサの高さの違いによって、前記対向基板が前記充填剤の側に凹凸を有し、前記遮光膜が形成された領域における前記充填剤の厚さが、前記発光素子が形成された領域の充填剤の厚さより薄くなっている有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置であって、
前記第1のスペーサ及び前記第2のスペーサは、前記充填剤内に離散的に配置される柱状スペーサであり、
前記結合カラーフィルタが跨って配置される隣合う2つ以上の前記副画素は、一の角部を共有する4つの副画素であり、
前記第1のスペーサは、前記4つの副画素が共有する前記一の角部と重なる位置に配置され、
前記第2のスペーサは、前記隣合う異なる波長領域の光を透過させるカラーフィルタの境界に配置される、ことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の有機EL表示装置であって、
前記副画素は、R(赤)G(緑)B(青)W(白)の光をそれぞれ出射する4つの副画素からなる一画素を構成している、ことを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。
