Description
一連の実験を行い、蒸気加水分解によるタバコ材料の処理がタバコ材料のタンパク質含量、ポリフェノール含量及びニコチン含量に対してどのように影響を及ぼし得るか検討した。開示された実験研究によって本発明の範囲が限定されるものではない。
実験
計14種類の実験を行ったが、その内の2種類は対照実験であった。
2種類の解析技法、即ち、高速液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)及びフォーリン・チオカルト(FC)法を用い、各実験でタバコ材料から除去されたポリフェノール化合物の量の指標を得た。
2種類の解析技法、即ち、窒素含量に基づく算出及びブラッドフォード法を用い、各実験においてタバコ材料から除去されたタンパク質化合物量の指標を得た。
HPLCを用い、全葉タバコ材料から除去されたニコチン量の指標を得た。
各実験において、処理後に残った残留全葉タバコ材料を計量し、処理後に残った材料の割合を求めた(%DWB)。
Claims (8)
- オーム加熱に必要な導電性を得るのに十分なイオンが含まれている水溶液にタバコ材料を懸濁させ、その水溶液をオーム加熱によって加熱して蒸気加水分解用の蒸気を発生させることでタバコ材料を処理することを含み、タバコ材料のポリフェノール含量及び/又はタンパク質含量を未処理のタバコ材料に比べて低減させるタバコ材料の処理方法。
- タバコ材料のポリフェノール含量を未処理のタバコ材料に比べて低減させる際に、タバコ材料中のニコチン量を実質的に低減させないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水溶液のタバコ材料に対する重量比は少なくとも1:1であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 高圧力で行うことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3いずれか1項に記載の方法。
- タバコ材料を100kPa以上の所定の最大圧力まで加圧し、この最大圧力を所定時間保持した後に圧力を大気圧まで解放することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 蒸気加水分解で処理したタバコ材料を、次にそれが懸濁した水溶液から分離させることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- タバコ材料を1種以上の酵素で処理すること、タバコ材料を1種以上の界面活性剤で処理すること、タバコ材料を1種以上の吸着剤で処理すること、及び/又は、タバコ材料を1種以上の非水性液体で処理することを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- タバコ材料から1種以上のポリフェノールを除去するための、オーム加熱に必要な導電性を得るのに十分なイオンが含まれている水溶液にタバコ材料を懸濁させた状態におけるオーム加熱および蒸気加水分解の使用。
