Claims (15)
- 神経調節システムであって、
基端部および先端領域を有する長尺状部材と、
前記長尺状部材の先端領域に隣接して配置された2つ以上の電極と、
接地パッドと、
前記2つ以上の電極の各々に隣接して配置されている温度センサーと、
前記2つ以上の電極の各々と電気的に連絡している制御ユニットであって、前記長尺状部材の基端部に隣接して配置されている制御ユニットと、を備えており、
前記制御ユニットは、所定の電力レベルで、前記2つ以上の電極に印加される電力を選択的に制御するように構成されている制御アルゴリズムを含んでおり、
前記制御ユニットは、前記2つ以上の電極の各々における温度を監視するように構成されており、
前記制御アルゴリズムは、前記2つ以上の電極の各々が1つまたは複数の所定の基準に達すると、該2つ以上の電極の各々への電力を別々かつ選択的に中断し、前記1つまたは複数の所定の基準は、(a)目標期間中に、前記2つ以上の電極の各々に隣接して配置されている前記温度センサーによって測定される55℃以上の目標温度を含む目標温度基準、および(b)前記2つ以上の電極の各々に対する20%以上の測定されたインピーダンス降下を含む目標インピーダンス基準から選択される、神経調節システム。 - 前記2つ以上の電極の各々は、各電極と制御ユニットとの間に延びている導電体を備えている、請求項1に記載の神経調節システム。
- 各導電体は電気スイッチおよび電流感知回路を備えている、請求項2に記載の神経調節システム。
- 各電気スイッチは電気回路を完結するために選択的に開放および閉鎖される、請求項3に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記制御ユニットは前記2つ以上の電極に電力を同時に印加する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記制御ユニットは前記2つ以上の電極のすべてよりも少ない数の電極に電力を印加する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記制御ユニットは、前記制御ユニット、電極および接地パッドによって形成された各回路の電気的パラメータを監視するように構成されている、請求項3に記載の神経調節システム。
- 2つ以上の電極は4つの電極を含んでいる、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記長尺状部材の先端領域はリング状構造を含んでいる、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記リング状構造は自己拡張するように構成されている、請求項9に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記長尺状部材は第1部分および第2部分を備えており、第1部分および第2部分は基端側領域に沿って並んで延びており、前記長尺状部材の先端領域で分離されてループ状先端領域を形成している、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記制御アルゴリズムは、55℃以上の目標温度が目標期間中に前記温度センサーによって測定されると、前記2つ以上の電極の各々への電力を別々かつ選択的に中断する、請求項1に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記目標期間は、少なくとも25秒間である、請求項12に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記制御アルゴリズムは、20%以上の測定されたインピーダンス降下が前記2つ以上の電極の各々に対して達せられると、前記2つ以上の電極の各々への電力を別々かつ選択的に中断する、請求項1に記載の神経調節システム。
- 前記所定の電力レベルは、所定期間にわたる最大電力までの電力の増大を含む、請求項1に記載の神経調節システム。
